I spent time today cleaning the corners of the wood floors and woodwork with a small brush. What is about the beginning of cooler weather that makes us remember all those house chores we haven't done for awhile. Your handgun yarn is lovely. It has poured rain here in Pennsylvania, USA. Our weather is very much like your except it's colder in the winter. William Penn settled this area but didn't hang around. I would find someplace warmer in the winter, too, if I could, but then I couldn't wear my hand made woolen. Always an upside to cold weather.😊

Hi Becky, greetings from Downunder. I was watching the vlog today and you mentioned you have had a moth issue in the past. So have I but much more recently. I've had suspicious little holes turn up in 4 different socks including one largish hole on top of the instep of all places! My control method has now been put in place. I also use organza bags (ebay) to store my yarn in within the cube storage I use but I've added one more thing. I was reading that dried lavender is an extremely good natural repellant for moths and mosquitos and that they actively steer clear of it so, back to ebay for some organic dried lavender and some little purple organza confectionary style bags to put the lavender into. Each project bag now has a lavender bag in it, plus the yarn storage has various lavender bags throughout as well. Fingers crossed that will be the end of the little holes in my socks! Most of my socks are fairly newly knitted as I've only really been knitting socks since 2020 and it was a good year of learning and practicing before I became proficient enough to get a few pairs together... now I have so many lol so I need to protect my work and the lovely sock yarns! The other thing to mention was that it was my sturdiest of yarns, Opal, WYS and Zauberball etc that were affected, not the hand dyed or softer type of yarns!! That flummoxed me! Anyway, it's good to see that I'm not the only one using organza bags to protect my yarn... If you still see any moths, I'd suggest getting some lavender bags about the place to see the beggars off! I was just waiting for you to mention the Ranunculus, because I was admiring the gorgeous colour and wondering where I could buy it. Well done for creating that one yourself! I did feel a bit guilty though, sitting here knitting, while you were getting on with all that cleaning! 😅
