Start with The maid! I have listened to it a while ago. In dutch it is called Het Kamermeisje. I loved it.
I loved both the books you showed! I would start with Mad Honey! Thank you for you Vlogtober episodes, so relaxing to watch!
Harvey is so cute. So pleased to see you. I think you can always tell if a bunny is really relaxed when they lie flopped flat with their legs out behind them like Harvey was. I'm currently knitting the Dathan sweater by Kate Davies. Lots of ends to deal with, but a lovely way to use scraps and it will make a super cosy and practical throw on around the house garment that I don't need to feel precious about
Love your Vlogtober podcasts! Harvey is certainly a star - look forward to seeing more of him in the future. I have read most of Jodi Picoult books, and really enjoy them. Another of my favourite authors who tackle thought-provoking subjects is Diane Chamberlain. My knitting usually consists of socks or small items for me and my family, but most of the time I knit for a charity that provides worry monsters for use by therapists and ELA's in schools.

Lovely to see that you are doing vlogtober Becky 😊 We now just need some seasonal weather to start. I love chilly mornings and evenings so you can cosy up. I have just finished The Maid and did enjoy it. The book that I would really recommend though is The keeper of lost things by Ruth Hogan. I absolutely love her books but this one was my favourite ❤ x

You’re bunny is gorgeous, we had house rabbits and I miss them . Loved Harold fry and also the film .I also enjoy Jodi picoult I just listened to mad honey on audible really enjoyed that too it was very different.

A nice restful 15 mins as usual. I was knitting as I followed, I'm working on a cabled cardigan pattern, still trying to get the pattern established in my head. It has been knit and pulled back numerous times but once it is in the brain I'm sure it will be fine. I have knit the pattern before but that cardigan is far to large now so I want a smaller one. Harvey looks like he wants a cuddle. Love the way he greets you when you come home.

Fun to see Harvey! I am currently listening to Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I have read all of her books many times but this is the first time to listen to them. I am currently reading Landlines: The Remarkable Story of a Thousand Mile Journey Across Britain by Raynor Winn. This is the third in a series chronicling her life.
I'd recommend Landlines too. I thought it was great.
So lovely to see Harvey enjoying his life with you, he’s such a cutie and delightful to watch.
I am currently reading the excellent ‘We Are All Made of Glue’ by the brilliant writer Marina Lewycka - thoroughly recommend all her novels.
I’m knitting a simple cropped jumper with the Filcolana Peruvian wool you mentioned in your last podcast - such s quick and gorgeous knit. Also working on the crochet blanket you had on your sofa - also inspired by you back last year - can’t wait to get it finished and only my second ever crocheted item.

I’m just here to say how much I love your shoes! They gave me such a feeling of nostalgia 😊. I’m knitting the Telescope Knitting Mitts but Circe Belles Boucles using some leftover sock yarn. It’s a quick knit and only takes about 35 grams for a pair!

Hi Becky! I've only just realised you're doing Vlogtober. I can definitely recommend Sarah Winman's novels if you haven't tried them. I read Still Life a few months ago and adored it, so I've just finished When God Was a Rabbit, which I equally enjoyed, and it has a Harvey reference. So there you go, I think your next book choice is clear!❤
Harvey is so cute, he seems to live his life in a very similar way to my little cat, Lou Lou.
I'm reading The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters, I absolutely love her writing, she draws me in completely right from the first page.

Your Ranunculus is beautiful and has me thinking that I really want to knit one for myself. But that will have to wait until later this year, for these days I'm prepping swatches for a mystery knit along starting Thu. 5th and I literally can't wait to see where the designer is going to take us.
Your books sound quite interesting, I've taken their titles down thank you very much (you can never know 😂) I'm reading and loving The Book Of Life, book #3 in the A Discovery Of Witches Trilogy.

You have such a lovely life. Wonderful harvest from your garden. I was an itinerant teacher for many many years, traveling from school to school. I really enjoyed it but now I am retired and love having time for all my favorite things. Your bunny is adorable. I had one and was amazed how affectionate and smart he was. I read Mad Honey and enjoyed it. Hope you do too! See you tomorrow.
Am knitting a navy and white striped twinset sounds old fashioned but it’s quite modern ita a king Cole pattern in pieces on straight needles my preference but finished top and back and one front of cardigan also crocheting squares made up of animals for baby playmat fo my friends new soon to be born grandson Am listening to the taking of Annie Thorne and reading fist book in century trilogy by Ken follett both excellent I loved Harold fry didn’t want it to stop

I finished my second sock on Sunday. This means it is the second sock I have ever knit, and not the second sock of a pair🤭. The first was from the SW sock along and I loved it. Although won’t knit another of from that pattern as most of the work will be in my walking boot! The second sock was also a SW sock pattern I have knit in wonderful sparkly wool. I have worn both socks today. No they don’t match but I don’t ever seem to wear matching socks so I don’t mind. I am going to knit the Tin Can Knits sock next in the same sparkly wool so I might have a pair at sometime. 😂❤
I could watch Harvey all day long, he is the most adorable rabbit. I have read The Unlikely Pilgrimage… and loved it and I am knitting The Highland Perks Shawl that a saw on one of Ali’s, Little Drops, podcast from about 6 years ago! 😊

So nice to see you today. I am knitting on socks. I am getting ready to pick up a sweater. It is too hot and bulky to knit in the summer. Now that fall has come, time to pick it back up. Love the footage of Harvey. He is such a sweet little guy.
Thank you for another lovely vlog... I'd love to hear a bit more about keeping a house rabbit - I'd never even thought about a rabbit as a pet as I always envisaged that as a pet that stayed in a hutch in the garden and to be honest wasn't much company. Your rabbit looks like it's more company than I thought they could be, he seems like a real sweetie.

I listened to The Maid on Audible and loved it. I have just finished listening to As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow, I would recommend this along with The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margo.

I always love the relaxed nature of your vlogs so I’m glad you’re back doing vlogtober. I’m currently reading two books - Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett (third Discworld novel) and Upon A Frosted Star by MA Kuzniar which is a Swan Lake+Great Gatsby inspired story. I’m enjoying both so far although I think I prefer the latter a little more.
I bet Harvey likes a few treats from the allotment. My gardener has two house rabbits and she always takes them home a little something from here. 🐇
I have many things on the go but currently trying to get through the West Yorkshire Spinners Lapland blanket, it’s working up fast. The wool smell is wonderful 😊

Such a calm and lovely vlog. Harvey is so cute and fluffy, a great companion. My daughter gave me a copy of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas that I want to start soon. I don't really know anything about it though. I am going to look for Mad Honey at the library next time I am there. Thank you.
Harvey seems so pleased to see you. I thought I would give you three books I spent the summer reading stories that had no Gore no crime no creepy things happening. I thought they were just delightful. I listened to all three of them. One is 100 years of Lenni and Margot, by Marianne Cronin. Two is the Lido by Libby Page. Three is the brilliant life of Eudora Honeysett by Annie Lyons. Some might think they were boring, but they were just cute.
I love your vlog it is so relaxing. And now I'm inspired to knit a pink ranunculus. It looks so lovely on you.

I’m starting my 2nd ranunculus and love how yours looks with the repeat of the first design at the top, eliminating the laced part with the first (not sure what call it) design. Anyway, question is did you explain how you did that in a previous video and I missed it? Or if you didn’t, is that something you could explain in one of your vlogtober episodes? I would love to make this one I stared that way but I not sure how to go about replacing the stitch pattern. Hope you were able to relax and enjoyed the rest of your evening. Kat
