I like how you are combining both the original and remake. Both games have interesting lore and elements that can be combined into one story. That's the best way to approach this OG VS Remake situation in my opinion.
I think it’s awesome that RE4 is probably the most stand alone game in the franchise with most of the plot not having to do anything with the main story of RE excluding certain scenes. Yet it’s still the best game (in my opinion)
People who are **just** learning about this lore from this video will never understand the nuance struggle & simultaneous satisfaction that came from searching up forums on late 2000’s internet. It was a magical experience. This video is great tho, fantastic editing :3
I can't wait for the videos on the Revelations games they have so many unique ones. But I also am curious as to the lore of RE5 & RE6 enemies which there are many (6 probably having an hour worth of enemies)
@@sherif956 6 has like a hundred or something enemies. People may not like it but it sure had a lot of work added to it. Being the largest game in the series.

It's dark and bugs like to hide in dark places. He could feel them, they werent there but he was so scared that he convinced himself that they were there
i love re4 and i often have to remind myself its just a video game story and plot bc so much doesn't make sense to me lol. like why didn't wesker just end saddler himself, why did he hire ada just to show up anyway and save her.. then leave again telling her to finish the mission wtf lol
14:03 There's that black goo again... There is alot of occult and esoteric references in these games that only a few that study the occult or the few who actually involved in the mystery schools itself would understand. Umbrella is actually a real corporation and it's story has been repeated in fiction many different times. Killing floor has pretty much the same lore.
Dang, Rem4ke kinda did Krauser and Leon dirty. The whole operation backstory and his growing jealousy of Leon, coupled with the arm injury.. it honestly makes a more fitting explanation for his betrayal than “he was betrayed by the government”
I’m not sure, though, where the RE4 Remake establishes that Leon explicitly could not have been there during the time Operation Javier was going down. If there is any indication that Leon was entirely absent from the RE4 Remake’s implied reinterpretation of the events, then I must have missed it. The reason I bring this up is that a Capcom spokesperson apparently stated that The Darkside Chronicles’ version is still semi-canon, even it RE4 Remake’s implied version is not exactly the same. And if there is still room for Leon to be involved, then it is still possible for some of those moments with Krauser to have still happened, such as his arm injury. And besides that, I still feel the Original RE4 did Krauser more dirty by not providing any backstory at all. So if we were going only by one the mainline games provide for a casual player, I still find RE4 Remake to be an improvement in that regard, since it at least offers something and alludes to Operation Javier’s existence in its own narrative.
Didnt all of that still happen though? During the fight in the remake Krauser mentions them barely surviving in the jungle and I think Leon mentions his arm injury during one of the knife fights as well
Leon assists Chris and Claire in the events of Code: Veronica - in which Wesker played a major role. It’s possible Leon was informed of Wesker in his government agent role prior to this as well
Unless I am mistaken, you are wrong about Leon not being apart of operation Javier or being present for it. When engaging Krauser for the second time in RE4R, Krauser says to Leon, “You remember the fight in the jungle? WE barely made it out alive” this is almost definitly him referring to Operation Javier and he is clearly speaking in a manner that shows that Leon was there.
He also isn’t really a “devout follower” of Los Illuminados, it’s pretty clear that he is only with them to achieve his “Pure Unadulterated Power”, he’s there for his own reasons not because he believes in the cause or that he’s a true follower of Los Illuminados, you kinda got all of Krauser’s section wrong tbh
Wow they took out a lot of the good lore too What are these developers thinking 🤦♂️🙄...Wonder if they still have the what do you fight for dialogue option between krauser and Leon...Wow what a disappointment on the death animations on remake they cheaped the heck out Just like with removing one of the boss fights like they did with one of the other games and a whole section geez game companies are getting lazier and lazier...I was lucky enough to find that for PS2 the specially unique edition apparently is what it was... I agree! I think they’ve done a really good job integrating the two, and I’m glad they didn’t just ignore one in favor of the other.
