Lovebirds are know to have ONE strong attachment in their lives. So it is recommended that you only get one if you are looking for a strong bond with your love bird. Lot of queer information being spread here. Okay first, I adopted my lovebird because I would never “buy” an animal. At this point we know that the pet trade is just inhumane. Secondly, I work quite a bit. So to compensate for that, I wake up early and I bring my lovebird in his cage into the bathroom with me when I shower. This has multiple benefits. It’s additional bonding time, it’s an activity, we talk and play peekaboo, and the steam is very good for his sinuses(birds living in the home often suffer from sinus infections). I put him in his cage in front of a window where he gets daylight, not hard direct sunlight or anything like that and he can see the yard. I also when leaving let play some pretty string music with lots of high resisters. I have a camera in the house I occasionally check up on him with and talk to him. And when I get home out he comes I make a big fuss and he spends the whole night hanging out with me until he puts himself to bed between 10-11pm. He’s a very happy bird. Having a 9-5 isn’t going to kill him. Keep his cage clean, give him fresh food and water and as much stimulation as possible and you can expect a very happy, well rounded bird.
Hi Hailey. I'm not an expert but I found this information online. I hope it helps. Thanks for watching. Although lovebirds do not need another lovebird to share it's cage with it still needs a human to share its colorful life with or else it will wither up and die. If you buy two birds they will bond with each other and look so cute snuggled up to each other but since they have each other they might not bond to you.
You can have a single lovebird. And if you’re looking for a bird to be a companion or be very close too, then I would actually suggest only getting one, but only if you have the time to interact with it and show it your affection 🥰
Garry Max hi Garry. I don’t know what to advise other than maybe posting a photo and info on a local Facebook community page. Good luck and god bless for taking the bird into your care.
I completely agree with the final advice of this lady. I do not recommend anyone to keep birds as pets. As much as you are dedicated and kind to them, in the end conclude that it is cruel because the bird spends its life captive. You can't go outside with a bird, while you can travel around the world with a dog. We have had birds like this in our household for almost 20 years, we love them almost like children, we try to please them, we don't keep them in a cage at all, they have freedom of movement throughout the household. If I had a magic wand I would return all the birds from the cage to their natural habitats.
I got one that looks exactly like your male. Bought her for my son's birthday. We have had her about a month and is so loving and sweet. I have 4 parakeets and she pals with them during the day and I have her and give them all attention. Son gets her morning and evening til bedtime. Mango has brought a lot of joy to us. I really am sorry you experienced this with yours. All my birds get attention from my son and I daily.
Need couple of birds. Are these expensive? Are used birds less or more value? I'm interested to know because I think other bird will be sold back (if value).
if i buy one male lovebird and i get to tame him, can i buy another male one so will they both be freindly to each other but freindly to me too? so like i dont buy 2 male love birds at same time which bonds them both together and not bond with me?
Thank you actually, I’ve been thinking about getting my mom some but we’re all so busy and have so many other animals so I wouldn’t be getting some anytime soon

This is disgusting! Animals don't do birth control, that is a human thing. Also, if you don't want the love birds, sell them or give them away. There are plenty of people who would love to have them, babies and all.
I intended to get a lovebird for handfeeding.. to create bond with it, but at the shop i got confused after seeing all the beautiful bird, ended up buying two.. which is apparently both males. Nothing much to say, of course they don't get close to me as i expected yet they know me, fly to me when they want to, and happily occupied my living room. Their favourite spot is the curtain rail which is 9 feet high from floor. And they come down to their cage which i placed it high enough only when they're hungry or to bath.

Very bad. If you don't want the birds to reproduce or just don't want to take the responsibility for the offsprings. You either sell the birds or give them into adaption. Let someone else who is more humane to take care of those poor creatures. They really don't deserve you.

Shkelqim Bajrami if you dont like the video then click off simple. It’s this guy’s youtube he has the right to do what he wants. Is it sad that she had to abort the babies? Yes it is but at least she knows that she made a mistake. You expect her to let the babies live in that small living space too? Plus as you can see from the video the birds were completely ok afterwards. Rip them babies tho 😓
Shkelqim Bajrami They’re not his birds, they suffer from a disorder where they like to have sex all day. And, can’t you understand? They can’t AFFORD the fucking babies.

Yes all my university textbooks are destroyed.....but my lovebird is free all the time (except when she`s sleeping and during dinner)....and I don`t regret buying her for a second....
Also she would nest and lay unfertilized eggs- more so when I gave her late bedtimes. When I put her to bed early she would slow down. Also if I took her away to my parents w me- the location change would interrupt the cycle of fertility
Peachfaces are loonies messy and noisy they are also beautiful playful and very smart extremely good escape artists great breeders and once you have had one or two that's it you're done you will want at least 2 for the rest of yout life ( great company too)
She knows that she could sell those eggs to breeders and they would love those eggs to sell more babies to actual people that would want them. This is sad
No, not really. Breeders like to incubate their own birds eggs. These two might carry diseases which would be passed on to the hatchlings. Breeders take great care in raising birds and wouldn't risk incubating the eggs of an unkown bird couple without proper tests like dna and disease tests.
You know what sad one she is killing helpless birds which she could just give to a bird shelter or breeder also one way for them to stop is to let them have a baby and see if they would stop
This coming from a former owner of a Lovebird who is dead and I miss every day :( 2:15 Oh please...they are lucky to have a varied sex life...which I had that. 2:29 "Unprotected sex" : Show the condoms for birds 4:40 Doubtful she saw them or understand what that meant. Hell mine ate rotisserie chicken and loved it while never realizing that he was eating a cousin. 5:23 Lovebirds are better when you have only one and they consider you the mate. It is true that having 2 will make them bond together and ignore the human provider. My conclusion about lovebirds is that they are a pet for loners. They need daily attention of about an hour but the more the better. I found that making and sharing food was positive interaction with it: yes just chew it real good then give it to it with your tongue works wonderfully.
Dont sell them if they are tamed and socializated with peoples, give them as gift to someone who love birds and will care for them with love, in life it have something more important than money, thats happynes and parrots deserf it.

In a week the female died and the next day the male died. They really do die of broken hearts.
Briahna Ray That is NOT true
Holly Anne it is
SkiAngel 3 No, not all of it is
Holly Anne separation Depression is real. Birds do Die of Lonleyness and Causes Stress to the point of Death. What point Isn’t True?
.........why would you put potential nests in the cage, if you don't want chicks? 🤔🤔🤔
lovebirds actually are great pets, so are all birds. Cockatiels, RIngnecks, Lovebirds, all amazing pets. You make choices that might not be great for you but that's just because they arent great for you. don't advocate against something a lot of people like because it doesn't suit your needs. it's ignorant.
People who do their research and have the time and money should get them. Just because they breed doesn't mean you shouldn't get them. Also, BOILING THE BABIES jeeez.
Very true this video was stupid !! If they don't wanna Breed them than they shouldn't have a male and female . I think they are the problem not the birds, they should give them up and find something more suitable for them or not have any kind of bird. And i agree who tf boils the eggs? I would love to have one of the eggs and raise it.
The problem was not the birds, it was that woman. Not that birds are unsuitable as pets, she is unsuitable to own birds. And, jealous too, I think.
Where did u get that small carry case from?
Can you have just one lovebird as a pet or would it get lonely without a companion?
@@tomforbes72 Thank you so much! This helps a lot :)
You can have a single lovebird. And if you’re looking for a bird to be a companion or be very close too, then I would actually suggest only getting one, but only if you have the time to interact with it and show it your affection 🥰
There was a injured lovebird in my backyard so we picked it up and we are currently taking care of it I dont know what we should do
Garry Max hi Garry. I don’t know what to advise other than maybe posting a photo and info on a local Facebook community page. Good luck and god bless for taking the bird into your care.
Love the beginning of the video-too funny!!!!
Thank you Mary.
I completely agree with the final advice of this lady. I do not recommend anyone to keep birds as pets. As much as you are
dedicated and kind to them, in the end conclude that it is cruel because the bird spends its life captive.
What if you don’t offer her a place to lay eggs? If there is no nest, will there be no eggs??
if i buy one male lovebird and i get to tame him, can i buy another male one so will they both be freindly to each other but freindly to me too? so like i dont buy 2 male love birds at same time which bonds them both together and not bond with me?
My birds really like each other’s but they are with me for 2 years and they still not breeding I really don’t know what’s the problem
This is the best video ever! You are hilarious!
I've got 1 love bird, 2 green cheeks and a macaw. Best pets ever. Just need to spend time with them,
Where did you get that green cage?
Thank you actually, I’ve been thinking about getting my mom some but we’re all so busy and have so many other animals so I wouldn’t be getting some anytime soon
Can someone explain me why did she put the eggs in boiled water ??? And mark it ???!!!
Most of the people in the commentary section say to get only one if we don't want this issue but could getting 2 males work too ? or would they fight/not like each other at all and there would be another issue ?
Have two they can be a handful but love them both their also a lot of fun.Their not for everyone I agree people need to do their research before getting one
I don't provide my birds with a nest or nesting materials so they don't make baby birds.
Aga--PORN--is --___ these birds really live upto thier name .
Do you feed lovebirds right away when you just got them and put them in a cage?
Just just shows how to Murder your pets The owner is A Cruel Selfish person to hold onto these birds. You can Literally feel the Heartbreak from the birds as they are A strong bonded pair only wanting to make a family. How would she like it if Someone boild her children alive and give them back to hear when they're done cooking them. As for the Vet Suggesting this..Truly Appalling
These Birds should go to Marlene Mc'Cohen Now that lady lives for Birds as A True Advocate
You are so cural
Yeap I'm 2 weeks in with mine and I can see that there hard work.
I have more then I expected. Started with two but now have 8. What they don’t eat they shit on I try to let them out to spread their wings and then come clean up after them but I love my birds
I love love birds I have one like one the lady was holding first at the start look like Azkadellia like that other bird putting paper by the tail my love birds did that as well I am missing Azkadellia and Luke now
i have two lovebirds that look exactly the same but i cant tame them ... any tips ?
Stefania Badea I’m no expert but I know they need lots of attention and handling if they’re going to feel comfortable around people. Good luck.
Stephanie Badea, if they are around you alot, they will get use to you and accept you as a friend. How old are they? And how long have you had them?
Very bad. If you don't want the birds to reproduce or just don't want to take the responsibility for the offsprings. You either sell the birds or give them into adaption. Let someone else who is more humane to take care of those poor creatures. They really don't deserve you.
If you don’t know how to raise a pet in their way then even if you had a dog instead of a pair of birds, you would still be hating the dog. :(
If you don’t want a bird to get horny don’t put nest boxes or anything that may work the same as one
Ok lovebirds are the best ITS SO FUN AND Challenging I have one and have no regrets if you want one make sure you have a big cage and lots of toys :D
Why you do this to your birds, let them breed or take of things wich they can use for nest. 😡😡😡😡😡😡
Agree, this lady should not own any pets!! Clearly did no research before buying two of them! Stupid people!
B C we all make mistakes man chill out
So if you understand that is mistake, you can remove this video from youtube becous peoples watching this video can do same as you did, and there's no place for calm for how long have people as you😡
Shkelqim Bajrami if you dont like the video then click off simple.
I have love birds for over 3 years. They come eat from my hand sit on my hand to eat. But except that nothing else
I know this is random but she looks like Elishia from the show “Glitch” (I known it’s not)
You're right!
Interesting info.
Aww I love my cockatiels they are the best pet in the entire world.
Don't get a breeding pair of birds and expect them not to breed.
Love the intro
Love birds rules!!
He wanted a dog, she bought him a little loud bird and now nobody is happy
Please explain that logic to me
I Likes Lovebirds Agapornis is beautiful the best 👍
JOKES ON YOU I GOT ONE
Whats it like (I'm planing to get one)
Very sad to see this incident and i am very disappointed to see that you are boiling its eggs.I always love to buy these birds and i cannot afford it because it is very costly here.
0:00 moment of silence for people who can't have/afford lovebird.....
Wow that's great I hope I have that
Peachfaces are loonies messy and noisy they are also beautiful playful and very smart extremely good escape artists great breeders and once you have had one or two that's it you're done you will want at least 2 for the rest of yout life ( great company too)
My lovebird have a lot of energy but is goof
How to match Lovebird if the female is fierce. Thank you
That awkward stare at 0:00
You are so cruel you put boiled water on the eggs
Fuck outta here
Wild G4MING tf?
@@Izzyaboiash fake ass Justin Y.

She killing the babies??!!?!! WTF??????!!! How is this right????!!!!!! Cruel!!!! Animal abuse!!!!
why did they boil the egg and put it back
So no ones gonna talk about cage 😤
i am disgusted😠
You know what sad one she is killing helpless birds which she could just give to a bird shelter or breeder also one way for them to stop is to let them have a baby and see if they would stop
This coming from a former owner of a Lovebird who is dead and I miss every day :(
2:15 Oh please...they are lucky to have a varied sex life...which I had that.
2:29 "Unprotected sex" : Show the condoms for birds
4:40 Doubtful she saw them or understand what that meant.
Decided a lovebird is not a good fit for me 😎 thanks for the info ✔️
Green cheek conures make great pets. And they are not very loud at all. I love mine.
You can just sell the eggs simple right
That’s why you don’t put them in the same cage and when you let them out together you have to watch them.
I had 2 agapornisses ( did i spell that good?) but they did make too much noise and destroy bookpages
And for another reason we had to sell them 😢😢
Dont sell them if they are tamed and socializated with peoples, give them as gift to someone who love birds and will care for them with love, in life it have something more important than money, thats happynes and parrots deserf it.
