Suzuki Samurai TOP SPEED RUN! Lifted on 33" stock 1.3L

My Suzuki Samurai with stock 1.3L EFI, 3.73 axle gears, 6.4:1 Tcase gears and 33" tires! This thing runs great on the highway with the suspension it has and after multiple alignment tweaks I got it perfect at 1/16" toed in.

1.9 td swap was the trick for mine, although with it at 150hp right now I’m finding all the weak points

I just did the 1.6L 16v swap and it’s night and day difference compared to the 1.3L.

I am topping out at around 55mph with 31s, in my 87 Samurai with a rebuilt 1.3l engine and Sidewinder carb kit.
I don't feel too comfortable when the engine reaches about 3500rpm. How high do you rev yours at top speed?

It doesn’t have a tach but for sure higher than 3500. The 1.3 can handle the rpm’s the 1.6 is hit or miss on high rpm’s

You dont reach top horsepower till 6200 rpms. The 1.3 is a high rapping Motors

just tdi swap if you got the money for it and the tools in a month you will double your tourque or more and its diesel so good mpg i bought a 1.6 naturally aspirated voltswagon diesel and it is so much better than the stock engine expect to spend around 4k if you wanna make it nice
