Great video! If you get the time I'd love to see you review your Albion Sheriff. I've been considering that one for a while now. Also a video about the bucklers you've used and which ones you like.
Please don't generalise about the English language. That is what they are called in 'American' English. In British English (which is after all, the native language of English people, in England), we call these 'Braces'. Suspenders are something very different... an item of feminine underwear for holding up stockings.
@@another3997 Lol not you trying to chastise me for for using a correct term while saying that British English is the superior form of the language. If I had said that the suspenders connect to his pants, would you have also chastised me for saying that pants are actually underwear in British English and I should have said trousers instead? You could have just said "In the UK, we call them 'bracers.' " and that would be that.
Not my students (I generally advice the standard AP to them too ofc) but I have some friends, both students and Instructors of other clubs who used or are still using those models. Long story short, both these models are slightly, or far lesser padded than the AP, especially on sleeves. So in general they had a good opinion of this Jackets for other weapons but a bad opinion in terms of longsword practice.
The first 3/4 times it felt weird, now I prefer it funny enough. Yes when you get used to it (again, few uses are needed) it slips on and off as easily as the standard
I know I'm 3 years late but where do you get your buckler? All I can find are all steel, or all plastic. I want a buckler with a leather trim so I can stop scuffing up my new windlass type xiv.
I want to thank you Fede, for your channel. You put a sword in my hand again after a long time. I can't thank you enough but next paycheck or two I'll pick up something from your store. Thanks my HEMA friend.

wilowhisp of course! I will do it as soon as I will be able to go outside again. I want to do a proper review for my “Lucilla”.
In American English we say shin and shin guard as well.
I'm currently waiting for my Bellatore sword to be made. I can't wait! It looks amazing!
The things on the pants are called suspenders in English. :)
Thank you!

Hi Federico, thanks for the great video. Have you or one of your students tried the Hussar or the Officer jackets for longsword? Take care.

@Brett Benicio happy to help xD
How do you find putting of the hood with the coaching mask?
Can you just slip it on and off?

I made all my bucklers by myself. Plywood, linen, rawhide. You need to buy a umbo in some reenactment website

@@glennericnaylor276 thank you ;-)
With this ap jacket if you get hit you turn into a titan?
Shhhhhh! These are classified informations!
What problem did you have with the titan mask if you don't mind me asking?
I will explain it better in a video but long story short, it had some mesh deformations after 2 months of practice.
You are a thin person with long arms, so I can imagine you have some fitment issues
True! :-)
