- I love this new (well, new condition with tags) Fjallraven Kanken mini rucksack! I'd wanted one for years and was delighted to find this one on the used market in the right size, colour, and eco-conscious style.
I forgot to share in the video: There are also other snap closures at each side of the base of the bag which attach to the ends of the straps. I forgot to mention this as it was redundant for me; I use the straps on the longest setting (and they are SNUG for my large frame), but if the straps are loose for you, you can snap the ends away so that they don't dangle and get in the way. Oh, and I also said KY instead of YKK when referencing the zippers. Oops.
This bags is 340 g of 100% recycled polyester made from several PET bottles. It uses the SpinDye process for dying, which means water is saved! It's fluorocarbon-free, can hold 7 litres, and measures 20 cm X 29 cm X 13 cm.

I’ve seen a lot of reviews on the Kanken mini but yours tops it. So enjoyable to watch. Love how you show the Kanken in action. And the angle shot of looking down as you show what is in your Kanken is perfect!

Cheers, but the all-black choice is great! Actually, I forego this gorgeous little green number for all all-black one that can carry my laptop. It's great. I just haven't reviewed it yet. Both are great if you have room for both!

I love this color of green! I went to the website and I believe it may be “spring green” since it’s a ReKanken. “Leaf green” is for the classics. I spend way too much time looking at these backpacks...I need to go buy one instead. LOL 😂
You could very well be right re. the color. I recall looking it up, but maybe I deferred to the original line. Either way, I like it. Yes, I'd been looking at the brand for ages, too. Now I want a bigger one. ;)

I have the same complaint with my mini kanken: the straps are not long enough. Not very plus-size friendly, and no option to wear it lower on my back.

I haven't washed mine yet, but yeah, I believe they are!
I washed mine three times and it still looks brand new.
You cannot put this in the washing machine it will ruin the waterproof layer on it

What year did you buy your bag? I was told the newer re kanken has the flag. There are older versions without the flag.
I bought it in new condition a little while (a month or so?) before I made the video, BUT I did buy it second hand, so who knows how long that person was hanging onto it? Do you mean a Swedish flag on the inside pocket?

Why thank you! Admittedly I have only used it three times (limited to wee walks and such; my lifestyle is generally more handbag-oriented), but I am thinking of buying a bigger one for travel. The only thing is, I'd prefer a backpack with a slider to fit over my suitcase handle...
Bit late to the party, but I've had mine (exactly the same one, even the colour) for almost a year now and I use it almost every day. It could use a bit of cleaning but otherwise you can hardly tell I regularly put heavy dictionaries in them to go to class, except for the fabric being a bit more supple. I had the tiniest issue of one of my straps sort of starting to fray but as it's plastic I just held that part over a candle for a few seconds and the "loose" bit (it was like, 3 mm of thread sitting out of place but it frustrated me) melted into the rest of the strap again.

I wish I could, but I no longer have this item - I upgraded to a larger one which I'll share on my channel sometime soon. Sorry about this! FYI, the lighter colours do tend to get tatty in the regular line, but I'm not sure about this more eco-friendly version.

Sorry that happened to you! Again, it's heartbreaking to know there are so many copycats on the market these days. It's an increasing risk I take with purchasing resale, but I won't stop my focus on the circular economy. Just have to be extra careful, I guess.
I don't want to be rude but I think yours is a fake it doesn't have the Swedish flag on the inside and the original fjallraven kanken don't have the contacts section on the tag in the back

I don’t actually own this bag any more so I can’t follow through; I do have another though, which I’ll review soon (this new one I bought new, so I certainly hope there are no warning signs!) I was not aware that this brand is copied. Disturbing what goes on these days...
a little bit late but i know that they started putting the Swedish flag on the newer models of the bags so it could of still been a real bag, just one of the older models before the re-designing :)
