- Went out kayak fishing with Brian from Fishing Not Catching. Had a decent day catching trout while trolling with various trout lures. I tipped my lure with Powerbait and added scent to entice the bite. Midway through, my gopro malfunctioned (twice!). Despite that, had a great time.

PK: It's so great to see that you are again out fishing and hooking to cooking, TOO. Is Soya ever too much? It was really enlightening for you to show the quality of todays "fish finders". A fish from your kayak and then your general location on an expandable "road map!". Credits to hummingbird or whatever your "fish finder" was. Tight lines and catches, always, buddy!!

If you are gonna fish that area, I would definitely try Lookout for Walleye. Trolling deep is what is have seen folks bring Walleyes in with. I would try from the dam and stick to the north side….luckily with your yak, you should be able to launch where boats can’t. I don’t see a lot of Wallies come in, but the ones that come in have all been over 24”.
Just as an FYI, government looking to ban DJI from the US. Not sure if just drones or all products, but might want to stock up if you can and wish to continue to use DJI products.
Edit: Squawfish are an endemic species to Oregon but man-made impoundments allow them to overpopulate quickly.

Question. When you go to Depot Bay and have your kayak invitation to fish rockfish just outside of depot Bay can i bring a drift boat? When is the next trip that you’re gonna make to Depot Bay?
I had a friend who went out in a 9' row boat. So I'd imagine it'd be OK on a calm day in a drift boat. not sure when the next trip is, depends on the swells.
