My wife and I both love your videos! And we're so glad you two didn't need your spare tire during your extremely long trip back to Idaho! Your driveway is about the best place to find out about it. Thanks for the great videos. 😊
Nice video, thank you! 30'X40' seems to be a good size for 2 stories. P.S Hornets, wasp like to winter in wood piles and come alive when brought into a warm house! Ron PTL USA
You guys are way ahead of most people just because you are not afraid to try,me and my wife are 67 years old ,she welds and does hand stiched leather and we both garden l weld do custom paint and carpentry. we bought a piece of land in New Mexico and we are starting to build a homestead of our own!
For trailers, I’ve always welded tabs onto the frame at the back corners & mounted small hard wheels or rollers of some kind. That way WHEN not if it’s dragged it’s not damaging the the back of the trailer.
Rollers work good on flat ground but off road, you can hit mounds in the trails. Better off with flat stock or scuff liner that can span from the axles to the back and can slide over stuff.
Fill a spray bottle with dawn dish soap and water mix. Heavy on the soap. Spray wasps etc. While in mid air or in nest. Non toxic for animals but great to put down those pests.
I was going to recommend that you only need about a tablespoon to half a bottle of good hand held spray gun plastic anyway if it green dawn the water will be green or blue or whatever color you use works great on carpenter wasp to mid air or up in there wholes spray up down the fall out of the hole. Great for German and tree roaches to.
I've found using OdoBan disinfectant , it'll knock them down with a small amount of spray and usually kill them if coated real good but, usually when down I just step on them. Also works on flys, whatever in the formula stop their ability to fly.
1) I just realized Courtney is in her "right mind" all the time. No wonder she is so creative! 2) My brain is screaming "Balance the load!" I totaled a truck & travel trailer in 2005. 3) Be true to your backs, now. It is really hard to get spare parts. At 72 y/o, I now have a titanium Coflex(tm) spacer at L3/L4. 4) Air bag lift kit next invention. 5) Security: as the asset values increase and as public as your travels are, you may benefit from developing a plan for "hardening your target." So happy for you. It is so much fun watching your enthusiasm and optimism. Thank you for bringing us all along. Blessings.
I am so sorry to hear about your accident! With how heavy both tool carts are the load was actually quite balanced. Riley was ordered some rest and is on the mend, he promised to ask for help next time...
Thank you again. The ability to work through problems and keep a positive attitude and learn from mistakes and make corrections is a skill. You folks are skilled.
You are absolutely living the dream. I like am like you, Courtney, I am so organized that when I go grocery shopping everything that goes on the checkout moving belt is 100 % sorted by types of groceries. Meat with meat, produce, canned and packaged all sperated and all like canned and packaged are sorted. It all gets bagged the same way so it is easy to put where it belongs in my mobile off grid cabin.
Yep, I do that to. I also put the UPC barcodes in the best spot for the checker. They comment on it every time. I don't mind shopping. Putting stuff away is a different story 😜
Too late now, but when traveling with that style shelving in a trailer get a couple sheets of plywood to face the shelves and keep everything on the shelf. Plus it give you plywood to use as a work table when at your destination with a couple saw horses.
I suggest you bolt flat steel or scuff liner under the rear of your trailer so if it does hit the ground, it can slide on something longitudinally instead of having a hard edge that will catch and tear apart the back of the trailer.
Find the yellow jacket nests and cover the entrance and exit holes with buckets or glass bowls. This will trap them inside and they will all starve. You can also asphyxiate them by filling the entrance and exit with dry ice and cover the holes!
I'm amazed everything was still on the shelves! We also have problems with flies and yellowjackets. The tennis rackets work. But the most fun is the Bug A Salt gun we bought on Amazon. It fires plain old Morton table salt and it's very accurate. Highly recommended.
A possible solution to your problem with wasps or hornets, is to make a mixture of beer and sugar in a plastic bottle whose upper part is cut towards the lower part with the funnel cap removed. When you have done that, make a mixture of beer and sugar and pour into that bottle up to a quarter. Hang on a branch with a thinner rope. When you are, the party can begin. As wasps and hornets love sweets, they will enter the bottle, but they will not be able to go out, simply put, they will drown. The recipe that has been used in Serbia for decades and is very successful. Of course, we usually put more of these bottles. I wish you success with all the projects. Greetings from Serbia
I use to work on a fleet of construction equipment and lawn tractors and keep thinking about the amount of dust and dry dirt blowing around. The radiator use to plug up with dirt all the time and needed to be cleaned or they over heated. Also most rear engine equipment fans blow out from the engine compartment to the back and the fans run opposite way then a car, meaning you have to blow them out from inside the engine bay. We use to use a air compressor because water turned into mud and caked up the fins and stuck there, people will say that air pressure hurts the fins but we did it for years by the drivers who could care less about fixing radiators had had no problems. And thank you for your videos I really am enjoying them
Weld solid wheel swivel casters to the frame on the back corners of the trailer. Keeps the rear sheet metal from getting ripped off. 1/4" plate all the way across works too if you are in alot of gravel or dirt. Just make sure forward edge is beveled.
A pair of plastic folding saw horses and an old SOLID core door makes an excellent temporary/portable work table. We have put saws and tile saws on it and it has never failed. Portable is the key word. Just a idea.
Great idea you two! Utility trailer much more practical than a container. I like it! ( the electric tennis rackets are amazing! We travel with ours in Mexico and soon further south.)
I am about 5 months behind you building my homestead about 65 MI south of Idaho in northern Nevada. I wait for and watch every post. You give me such great new ideas and reinforce old ones. Get your shop built,I have a jeep project or 2 for ya....
I'm enjoying watching this project each week. As you have now told the world where you are storing your tools, consider removing all the tyres before someone removes your trailer.
It`s all coming together nicely. "Stuff" is always a category. lol Most people do not like the sanding part of doing drywall, like me. Heavy things are a 2 person or machine lifting project. You can help your back by getting to work on the abs. A strong core can do most of the work preventing hurting your back so often. I`m 62 and i have to keep working on my abs. Last and the most fun is if you get tennis rackets, they make great pest killers if they are big enough. I used to use them to take down bats that would get in sometimes. They should work on those large wasps. lol Good thing you didn`t need that spare on the side of the road! Take care
Great job guys, We have a similar trailer one difference is ours has a 12” wide strip of plywood on a long piano hinge at the end of the ramp so you can flip it out for smooth loading and unloading. I find it quite useful.
Buy a reasonably priced hand truck from Harbor Freight, weld a small piece of flat stock off of the axle or frame just above the axle so it sticks back from the frame the same distance as the handle of the hand truck, then when you lay the hand truck down it will be off the wheels and won't roll, and will be level. Then simply mount your tile saw to the hand truck. Viola! Easily moved but stable and level tile saw.
Preparation is a big part of the build and what you have done with all this organization is cut down the time spent looking for tools and stuff. An organized shop is the only way to go. Cheers!!!
Finally got to view this Sunday's video and it is great to see you getting more settled in! Love you and hope in the near future we can stop the inspects from being a pain and more of a benefit! Always opportunity in every step toward perfection!
You guys won the Lottery at some point, and smartly kept it on the DL - there's simply no other way to finance your endeavors; and you're now smartly parlaying that into a lucrative UA-cam following. You're both very skilled and teeming with Ambition, and I certainly enjoy watching your videos!
If we had won the lottery that certainly would have made things a lot easier! But I also think it would have made us appreciate everything that we have a lot less. The hard work and constant sacrifices made to get to this point make it feel like a sweet sweet victory.
You guys are AWESOME! Keep up the great work. only tip I have is to raise trailer up just a little and support all 4 corners on jackstands on top of something to spread the load on the ground. Everything will be a little more stable and takes stress of the tires long term.
Now that it’s empty if you bring the empty truck back to your lot you can use it to store stuff again. Then you can use the trailer to pickup construction materials or take when ever you need to move anything. That way you can leave the camper on the back of the truck if it even comes off. Lol
Yellow jackets love to build nests in wood piles and in stumps (in the ground). If you find the nest, wait until dark and hose it with a good quality wasp killer (they can't see to fly in the dark and as soon as you turn off your flashlight, drop to the ground and land). Also after dark they are all in the nest.
Enclosed trailer and utility trailer have a different wheel bolt pattern. 4.5x5 vs 5x5 for the 3,500# axle. Your spare tire/wheel is for a utility trailer. They may have gotten mixed up over time if you did not have them secured to the trailer.
Look for a wasp and hornet pheromone trap. Most hardware stores have them. Just hang two or three of them around where you are working and you’ll be surprised at how many you will catch
Milwaukee makes a tire inflator that will pump up tires to 125 PSI or more it works off their standard battery pack it is handy you can set the PSI you want press the button and wammo job done! I bet it will do a good number of tires before requiring a recharge?

Put it around the interior and exterior of buildings, works so well.

Yes as long as there's enough soap to smoother the pest it's enough.
I've found using OdoBan disinfectant , it'll knock them down with a small amount of spray and usually kill them if coated real good but, usually when down I just step on them. Also works on flys, whatever in the formula stop their ability to fly.

The trailer really looks organized! You know that efficiency is the key to all successful ventures. Great job guys! 🤗
I love that quote in your trailer, it will be hanging in my wood shop classroom on Monday.
Yes!!! If you’re ever doing a fundraiser or need items for the classroom let’s talk. ☺️ courtney@trailtestedmfg.com
Thank you again. The ability to work through problems and keep a positive attitude and learn from mistakes and make corrections is a skill. You folks are skilled.
OMG, you have a Stoney LaRue shirt!!!! I knew him and his brother back in the 90's..... LOVE THIS!!!
You are absolutely living the dream.

We added some little 2x4 skid blocks but have plans to make a much more substantial skid. The damage was from the previous owner.
Find the yellow jacket nests and cover the entrance and exit holes with buckets or glass bowls. This will trap them inside and they will all starve. You can also asphyxiate them by filling the entrance and exit with dry ice and cover the holes!
The quote is awesome! We totally relate. We chose a path that not many can or do and no regrets.

We have a bug a salt and absolutely love it! But the hornets around here must be jacked because they barely even flinch with it.
Thanks for the effort you guys, I hope you realize how much you add to my week. I just wanted to say.
Thank YOU so much for supporting the channel and making this all possible! ☺️
That whiteboard quote is awesome... and so true!
👊🏻

That is a great idea!!
That's awesome you guys are working your buns off been binge-watching all your videos for the last 24 hours thumbs up on all of them by the way👍👏
Thanks for watching! 😊
Another awesome job Done. Togetherness really can overcome anything if you set your mind to it.
If that’s your tractor back in Cali you’ve GOT to get it to Idaho - it will be a tremendous help
You need a lower hitch ball mount so you can lower the truck end to raise the trailer tail from dragging
We are using a 6” drop hitch, which got the trailer very close to level. The trailer is just incredibly low. It is spring under and has a drop axle.
Congrats, 99k subcribers so far! I bing watched all ur videos and im up to date now. Waiting for the next. U guys Rock!
We're hoping we hit 100k just in time to drop our newest episode tomorrow! 🤞

That sounds awesome, we love Northern Nevada!
I have exactly the same tile saw, I found if I take off the the sliding table, pump and tray it's a lot easier and quite a bit lighter to carry!
You know you're getting old when your back goes out more than you do. (ask me how I know) 🤣🤣. Trailer is looking awesome..great job
Welcome back! Super "elegant" trailer, love it! ...So that was the secret mission? LOL
Tres Bien!
Yap, you should make a connecting door to the driver cabin 😍🙏🏻👍🏻
I'm enjoying watching this project each week. As you have now told the world where you are storing your tools, consider removing all the tyres before someone removes your trailer.
There are certainly bad people in the world but luckily material items can be replaced.
Good idea to turn off geo tags on your cameras. No reason to make things easy for the bad guys.
That's an awesome portable shop. Riley hang that yellow jacket up to warn the others. 😂😂
GOOD MONDAY MORNING .. Thank you for sharing your journey eith us . Have a wonderful day
Thank you the short time of Peace and tranquility. Keep doing you.
One reason I love your channel is the humor you have on your channel

Dawn dish soap water 50/50 spray bottle. Will take care of yellow jacket's
Dawn dishwashing liquid & water ..make sure water is blue spray ALOT on yellow jacket...

I’m in the “remember where you put everything in the pile” camp with Riley. It works well for me...
Preparation is a big part of the build and what you have done with all this organization is cut down the time spent looking for tools and stuff. An organized shop is the only way to go. Cheers!!!
We use a drum lifter. It's essentially a clamp that hooks on the top of the drum.. Much easier to use than the strap method!
That sounds like a great alternative!
Finally got to view this Sunday's video and it is great to see you getting more settled in! Love you and hope in the near future we can stop the inspects from being a pain and more of a benefit! Always opportunity in every step toward perfection!
Really nice to see how you've made to here, best of luck 🍀
A table to put a saw on, or just to work from is all the world of difference.
The tractor would be handy up north. I have 4 Kubota's and love them.

Stay healthy and we'll see you soon.
One yellowjacket down, 200,000 more to go!
Glad everything stayed in place! Sucks you dragged, but that can be fixed...
Yes they do they work on yellow jackets
You guys are AWESOME! Keep up the great work. only tip I have is to raise trailer up just a little and support all 4 corners on jackstands on top of something to spread the load on the ground. Everything will be a little more stable and takes stress of the tires long term.
That is a excellent idea!
Go to Harbor fright and get a couple of large castors and bolt to the bottom back of the trailer so that you don't drag the back end. Look at big RVs
This is awesome!!! Can’t wait to see the building come together!!
Now that it’s empty if you bring the empty truck back to your lot you can use it to store stuff again. Then you can use the trailer to pickup construction materials or take when ever you need to move anything. That way you can leave the camper on the back of the truck if it even comes off. Lol
Get a back support brace and use it whenever lifting something heavy!!
Great video 👍Packing and unpacking has got to be one of the worst jobs ever. 😫😫
Awesome trailer and great tool box
So many skills between you but the attribute you both have is the ‘can do mentality’ 👌
Dream Team for sure. You TWO really make it happen.. Wonderful...!!!
Awesome job guys. Great to see that you have a trailer to house the tools.
A little squrt of Carb and Choke cleaner does a number on wasp, yellow jackets and it doesnt stain! I used the as an auto tech. Back in the day.
goto Tractor supply and pick up some yellow jacket traps and place them around
Yellow jackets love to build nests in wood piles and in stumps (in the ground). If you find the nest, wait until dark and hose it with a good quality wasp killer (they can't see to fly in the dark and as soon as you turn off your flashlight, drop to the ground and land). I almost bought one of those trailers. Now I think I should've done it.
This is how much excited to waiting for your upcoming videos !
Enclosed trailer and utility trailer have a different wheel bolt pattern. 4.5x5 vs 5x5 for the 3,500# axle. Your spare tire/wheel is for a utility trailer. They may have gotten mixed up over time if you did not have them secured to the trailer.
Riley's "butt crack" hahaha..... that's the best name ever for plumbing supplies! glad you got there safe!
😉
You have a lot of tools, thats realy great and cool. Your such a good match for each other. Love & Light from Belgium
Look for a wasp and hornet pheromone trap. Most hardware stores have them. Just hang two or three of them around where you are working and you’ll be surprised at how many you will catch
I've use the electric swatter on wasps, worked fine
Yea!! More progress!
Love the videos, Keep them coming!
You were lucky to find the trailer I am moving to NC from CA couldn’t find a trailer anywhere used or new had to rent a UHaul
You all are gifted
Wow goodjob.. I’m always waiting for your new videos😅👍👏
Flip the axels to the under side and then bigger tires will fit. This will effect how the trailer pulls but we did it in west Texas all the time
The thought crossed our mind but we really like how low the trailer is for working out of!
Those van bodies make good, cheap storage. We have an old Penske truck van body. The yellow jackets are insane there.
11:14 An old badminton racket is much more fun, and surprisingly satisfying when you belt the crap out of flying insects.
Then you piss them off and it's game on..
@@SegoMan trust me they dont survive a slap with a racket
Hope u put a lock on your trailer hitch as well as other stuff.
Todo va quedar hermoso, Muy bien todo bien organizado , adoro sus videos. ☺🌹🇪🇨
Spanish: Everything is going to be beautiful. Very nice and so well organized. I love your videos.
Your ambition & drive is amazing & your videos are addictive 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Dealer sold the wrong spare, it's more common than you'd think, and most don't find it until you need it...
Top shit. When you two will have some time you can come to organize my shoop. Cheers 🍷&🍺
Always nice having all the tools in one place!
Hi I’m downsizing my tools from having a basement to a one bed apartment. You guys gave me some good ideas for organizing thanks. 🇨🇦
Wonderful job on that trailer. Looks magnificent.
Thanks John!
On the topic of trailer height.
Flip the axle to the bottom of the springs. You gain about 2-3 inches lift.
That is certainly an option! However, for working out of it we really like how low it is.
Milwaukee makes a tire inflator that will pump up tires to 125 PSI or more it works off their standard battery pack it is handy you can set the PSI you want press the button and wammo job done! I bet it will do a good number of tires before requiring a recharge?
That's gonna make a huge difference...
Need to put a few solar panel on the trailer roof for its own power source.
Yes!!
That trailer looks really nice!!!😊🎉❤
Shop Vac for Yellow Jackets!............. looks good
Awesome. Looks good.
Nice job like always 👍 thanks for sharing your video
Hornet trap time. Hope you have them by now. God Bless and Be With You Both
