I posted on Facebook a few days ago about how your comments advising me on the possibility of a loose battery cover prompted me to check it out. It wasn't very loose, but tightening it up fully seems to have taken care of the problem. I've tested it twice now, and it seems to be fine. The problem was the battery cover. Just as a courtesy, I emailed Aimpoint and let them know I made their red dot look bad when it was actually MY fault. Kind of a "Sorry about that," but in unedited videos, whatever happens, happens, whether it's MY brainlessness or a mechanical failure. Anyway, I've noticed that a lot of people usually see our videos, so I hate to make something look bad that is not "bad" at all; in fact, it's incredible and is my favorite red dot optic. :-)Paper Target on Ebay: www.ebay.com/it... ------------------------ Remember to check out our video clips on the Hickok45Clips channel: / @hickok45clips

I like them factory modified black widow mags you have there sir. I own a few as well.
hickok45 i would really like to see a demo of an ar chambered in 22 nosler if you get the chance
hickok45 great point Sir and on point, allllll the video's you guys make are very important, awesome, well done!

The only "evil" thing about that rifle is the price tag
Carolina Tater And yet, when H&K sells their piston AR for $1000 more, nobody bats an eye...
Sam Moon oh I do and that is why I will most likely never own anything made by hk
+Carolina Tater Agreed, and to be honest, nothing they've ever developed was something I found worth the extra price.
HK91? Nah, my M1A is a better gun. No doubt in my mind.
HK93? Nope. I'll take an AR-15, please.
MR556? Not a chance, I'll buy an LWRC at half the price, and get an American design that was...made in the U.S.
If this didn't matter, nobody would think Russian AKs are the best, but they do.
As for their pistols; same thing. If they were competitively priced, maybe. But, seeing as how they're several hundred more, for the same pistol, simply because it has "H&K" stamped on the side, no thanks.
Plus, "Mister 556" is a dumb name.....
@Carolina Tater- LWRC Rifles are comparable to AK’s in reliability. I have never had a single problem or issue with my rifle. The Quality of LWRC RIFLES ARE “second to none” With that said, how much is your life and the lives of your family members worth?
Gotta pay to play
I met this great man at the Nashville gun show a while back he is really a great guy much respect to him

Happy Father's Day, Sir. John is a very lucky son. I wish my dad was still with us. He wasn't much of a shooter, but I'm sure you two would be great friends. Keep going and again, have a fine day!
6.8 is awesome. Last year we were able to drop Antelope (x2), Deer (x2), and Cow Elk (x1) - using the 6.8 SPC II in the AR platform.
You mean pronghorn? There are no antelopes in the US.
LWRC is the cream of the crop when it comes to the AR platform
please do more on LWRC, they're a great company
🤔
Good job as usual. Love your humor.
I have a LWRC in 5.56 with an ACOG mounted on it.
If I ever move back to America leaving the dust of California in my wake, that 6.8 would be worth looking into.
Lmao this comment is amazing.
great looking rifle
The center areas and magazine look a lot like Sr3m.

30.06. A great combat round.
What's the caliber again
Right now the ammunition would be real hard to get we don't have a special realtionship
I have two LWRC's, A 7.62REP and M6A1 DMR. Both are excellent.
my girlfriend heard you say about the stock that it can give you an extra inch or so and shes asking me where to get it.. im not sure she understands
😂
Nice!!!! 👏👏👍👍😆😆
Poor girl ;)
Tell her if she’s worried about figment issues you can always try the other “place”
Based mainly on Hickok 45’s review and user experience, I bought one. The primary use is for hunting. It is a very easy firearm to maintain and operate.
I’ve got an AR in 6.8 SPC & it works real well on Wild Hogs destroying our crops in SE GA/SC.
Never shot a LWRC but, that is a beautiful rifle!
l was thinking the same!
I have two now and love them! The ambidextrous controls are great! Ended up getting rid of all my other AR's.......
Don't you have shielding to pick up, lol? See ya tonight. ;-)
I have only shot LWRC, and I love them.
I have many ARs, my LWRC is my go to, runs like a dream rifle
The LWRCI Six8 is probably the most evolved option for the AR15 plateform : specific caliber, specific magazine, and specific rifle geometry.
This would be the best M4 replacement option.
I don't know about all that, but I certainly like it a lot.
A select few SF units in Afghanistan and Syria have used the six8 and loved it.
Hickok45 is the bob ross of guns!
2Shane4ya why do people say this on every thread?? is it just a hickock craze or is everyone just trying to get credit for the same joke??
juan peguero i've never seen a comment like this on any hickok video. Its just a joke
r k stfu
I get its a joke. I was just asking why it's so over saturated is all. Of the last 4 vidoes I've watched I've seen the comment in the top 5, 3 times. I'm not saying you're overusing it. Just saying in general
juan peguero I've never read this kind of comment... hmm maybe somebody wants to get many likes for jokes like that? I don't care if my comment became many likes... im just joking thats it...
That's a fine rifle you got there Mr. Hickok! I've been following the
development of this cartridge for a while. I don't know if it will ever
succeed in its intended purpose as a battle round. Imo it has already
failed. I've seen it run in full auto and it seems to have too much
recoil, maybe even more than a 7.62x39 AK. So I don't know if it will
ever replace the 5.56x45 round. On the other hand, in a semi automatic
rifle, like you got right here, it makes much more sense and it's
actually superior to those two cartridges. I think this might be the
best all around caliber to have in a semi automatic AR15 and I don't
understand why it's not even more popular than it already is...
This channel is a such a treasure for the firearm community.
I wish more companies would make rifles chambered in 6.5 Grendel. With steel-cased ammo and Wolf Gold it's a far more economical alternative to 6.8 SPC. Supposedly the "niche" of the 6.8 SPC is in SBRs, but until they can get it to below 30 cents a round like steel cased 6.5 Grendel Wolf Ammo it's hard to justify the extra expense.
One thing LWRC got right with their design is including an ambi bolt release. It's great, and I hope to see it on more future rifles. It seems to be catching on in more designs as well: the Polish MSBS has one, the new B&T APC 556 has one, the latest HK 416 has one and the 417 has a variant with one. Other high end AR companies like ADM, Cobalt Kinetics, and Primary Weapon Systems also have ambi bolt releases as well. Even if you're not left handed, being able to release the bolt with your index finger does make reloading a bit faster.
I was interested in purchasing an AR 10 but the steep price drove me to settle on a Springfield M1A and I’m very pleased . I still want the LWRC though. I own an LWRC DI 556 and it’s a beautiful rifle . LWRC makes some high quality stuff .
Hickok45 telling the story of how Chuck Norris invented the twist barrel.
The twisted barrel joke cracked me up, I love Hickok's humor!
Yes, about time we got a good review on a LWRC rifle. 👍
I built my 6.8 SPC II with a 20 inch barrel from AR Performance. I load my cases with 28.5 gr of AA2200 going 2,784 fps with a 110 gr Hyd HPBT and I'm getting .5 moa. In the reloading manuals that only show the data for SPC you will see the max load for that bullet to be 2,400 fps that is the difference between SPC and SPC II chambers and 16 inches and 20 inches barrels. I hope you enjoy your six 8. If you try a Tubb flat wire buffer spring you can soften up your recoil a good bit.
AA2200, phenomenal powder for 6.8, probably the best! I live in CA so nonlead is required for hunting, for my 18" barrel i load a 110 gr barnes TSX with 29 grains of AA2200, boy can you tell it's a hot load when you shoot it.........it's definitely pressing the envelope. I haven't chronograph it, but I'm guessing it's around 2700.... it does roughly 3 shot groups of 0.9 moa with that bullet. LOVES the hornady match rounds though, .4 MOA is easily achieved.
the .68 fury round is .51 , so not sure it will really save that much weight over .308 , .68 SPC is the better choice for intermediate action with the same action and lowers. But Sig has fingers in the right places to win the contract and now will also supply ammo
And now I have another want on my list lol , I definitely love that 6,8 LWRC rifle it's about as perfect of an AR platform as you can get for almost any purpose from home protection to hog and deer hunting and the reliability is awesome, another great informative and fun video thank you Hickock
Thos screws that hold in the top rail cover must get loose af after just 1 mag thats whats making me hesitant on buying one
6.8 cartridge for a 6'8'' man
FernTheUA-camr you rang?
RebSike 6.8 cartridge for my 6.8"....lol
6.8 SPC looks like a perfect round. If ammo prices prices and availability are good that would be perfect. I guess the plus to 5.56 and 7.62 would be I can find it anywhere.
My experience with red dots blinking out has usually been shaky battery contacts. if it the bendy metal finger type of contact just give it a tweak to make the battery a bit more contact pressure.
Hopefully something simple like that. Otherwise very disappointing from a 600 dollar sight.
Daniel Peer was likely built on a Friday.
Jamie Bowman It should have a warranty. Definitely defective.
One reason I like Vortex - lifetime warranty. Though I've never had issues with mine.
Served as a nice impromptu demo for the usefulness of cowitness backup irons.
I would suggest trying to send it in to see if warranty covers fixing it B4 you tweak it yourself so you don't void the warranty.
Hickok, I'll take all that brass if your willing to part with it! This is the cartridge that got me started reloading.
My 6.8 is one of my favorites, soft shooting and hard hitting. Great for the wife and kids, and great for me too! I built mine on a standard AR-15 lower. I can't remember(old age) which company made the mags I use, they're Stainless steel and they have all run flawlessly.
Love the rifle, love the review!
Really love the Aimpoint T2. May want to flip those lens covers the other way so they open downwards. Opens up your field of view when they're open.
I got a little "corn-fused" on the small red target we added to the range. It's actually from Free State Armament (Not "armory"). Also, don't forget to check out our website and the Hickok45 Store if you "need" a cap or T-shirt: shop.missingink.com/hickok45store
hickok45 what brand red dot is that on it or part #?thank you, and great video and insight like always with your channel; )
There will always be an armed dangerous person in public. No one said we want them there, or that we're "content" with that fact. We know they are there and everyone has the right, that shall not be infringed, to purchase the tools to defend themselves against these people.
That Uzi Bike shirt is hilarious. In for one
hickok45 Aimpoints sometimes have issues with the battery contacts. The little tabs may need to be bent in a little.
love those evil rifles lol
I'm actually a fan of the 5.56 but when it came to a different caliber on the same frame, I chose the 6.5 Grendel. It's a fun round to shoot and it's down range at distance accuracy is impressive.
The 6.8 is seriously catching on for deer hunting as well. Especially since 556 is illegal to hunt with in many states. 6.8's energy is basically a fairly comparable replacement for 30-30, but it is a much better cartridge for longer range than the 30-30, and allows hunters to use their AR-15 rifles for both superior home defense and hunting. For size and weight, the 6.8spc is just about perfect for hunting deer.
Condor1970 300 blackout is more of a equivalent to the 30/30 the 6.8 well outperforms both the 30/30 and the blackout.
I don't wana be a negative nanny, but 2600 with 120gr isn't realistic. What load is tossing a 120gr pill at 2600? That sounds extremely hot and a little out of the realm of possibility. I've blown through 9lbs of powder and 9 bullet types over the last 3 years and I've found in hand load testing for 6.8 out of an 18" and 120 grain pills are only capable of maybe 2400-2450 if you really press the envelope to dangerous levels.
On a second note, the 30-30 really catches fire when you start loading the spitzer style high BC bullets in it, shoots like a whole different gun! (And literally does when you only have two shots lined up because of the spitzer style bullets lol)
In my handloading, I have achieved a reliable 2550-2600fps with 115gr Nosler CC's using around 28.2gr of AA2200 and CCI-41's in an ARP 18" 5R barrel. If one was to achieve 2600 with a 120gr pill, then I think you would need to go to a 20" heavy marksman/hunting barrel, and push the powder up to about 28.6-28.8gr of AA2200. I have seen guys with load data do this reliably, but not without flattening the primers pretty good. You're pushing the envelope there (for hunting only), and it certainly would not be a standard loading for a military type of round in a Six8 rifle like the 16" LWRC.
I have an old Savage Model 340 30-30, and I should try that with spitzers, since it is a bolt action. The 21" barrel would give it some gusto too.
Richard Thomason
Negatory in many states, Florida is one where .224 bullet is not allowed for large to med. game.
Richard Thomason its not legal for deer in my state but for coyote a 556 is fine here in Washington you need a 270 or better so the 6.8 is the minimum on a ar to hunt with here
Own a LWRC -IC SPR and 6.8 for about two years. Love these gas guns. Not as dirty as DI. Really nice rifle on the higher end for cost.
You think piston driven gas systems will eventually become the standard?
Is it m16 bolt?
@@marcscott6142 lwrc uses their bolt carrier but standard ar bolts work
Late to the show here, but hogs are recently tearing the dookey out of my hay fields. I haven't hunted in 30+ years but I have to do something about these blasted hogs. I'm not crazy about the 5.56 "hit one and spray the rest technique". I'm kinda liking what I'm seeing here and elsewhere about the 6.5 SPC. Are there any farmer/ranchers out there with less-than-.308 suggestions? Thanks in advance!
tighten the battery cap on the Aimpoint. If that doesn´t help send it back and get a new one.
Here it is 5 years later and it looks like the U.S. Army is going to convert to the 6.8. This is a huge deal and I like the idea after watching many videos on this now. I am Army Vet and I definitely would love to have this rifle and the 6.8.
I'm over 5k rounds into my LWRC 556. The best rifle I've owned. Maybe I should get a 6.8....
The barrel joke was hilarious! Thank you for the laughs. Some people were tricked probably.
Finally. I was looking forward to what Mr. Hickok would have to say about LWRC.
I'm still hoping for the Benelli M4 video.
You like big guns for big boys!!! What about the 458 Socom. Put the upper on any AR lower!! Wilson combat makes uppers or complete rifles! Much better than the little 6.8 spec.. Like your new toy LWRC makes nice stuff?? If you want a piston rifle get an old M1 Garand or AK!!
Erik Ressdorf nobody is hunting elephants, sir

So glad you made this video; I've watched it a few times since it was first posted. LWRC is on my short list now, for sure.
We just filmed a Chapter 2 with it this week. I'm reminded how much I like this rifle every time I get it out.
best AR platforms hands down. LWRC FTW!

Love watching Hickok videos, I average an hour a day watching and learning. I too am A GLOCK guy, Love shooting! Thank you guys for all your do!
For anyone wanting an Lwrc, but not wanting to pay $2k+ I know they had their direct impingement models(DI) on sale for around $1100 a few weeks ago. I'm not sure the sale is still going on,but at that price range it's puts bcm and Daniel defence to shame in quality and features
Hello from Australia mr Hickok45, love your videos
Are you allowed to have guns down under yet, or are they still on the no-no list?
G'day mate.
Yeah sadly all the fun weapons are still heavily restricted . In my state we currently can no longer possess any semi automatic weapons or military styled guns which really really sucks.
Pump action shotguns are out too and there's idiots out there that are trying to get lever action shotguns banned too due to the fact they believe it makes it easier for nutcases to murder people.
That's a shame. You'll just have to make your way to the states where we have a 2nd amendment that's alive and well.
From the revised Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear *_fun weapons_* shall not be infringed."
You guys have the best guns laws and rights.
we are petitioning to get airsoft legalized over here but same bullshit from the government.
Looks like an assault rifle, can be misleading to police to be a real firearm so a big stupid hell no from them.
It's hard enough to get a license for a hunting rifle, u need to pass a license and be a member of a gun club before they consider you worthy of a air rifle (toy) which is also illegal without a gun license.
big time for us in WA, we can't deer hunt with .223 here and .270 looks good. Thanks for another killer video and have a happy fathers day
I held this weapon at a gun store a year ago and fell in love. thank you for making this video hickok!!
The potentiometer retaining nut would come loose regularly on the old Aimpoint Comp Ms, to the extent that when we were qualifying with them, the dot would die out enough to cause headache for many. If you tightened up the nut securely, it temporarily solved the problem. Maybe it needed thread locking compound to stay in place, but I thought they fixed the problem with the newer Aimpoint M4.
The solution will almost certainly be 7.62 based on what the Chief of Staff of the Army or Joint Chief has stated...we have plenty of those and they are very effective...
I've got this one queued up for later - looking forward to it. Happy Father's Day to you, sir.
My LWRC shoots 1/2" MOA all day long. Love it
Maybe if I win the lottery, I'll pick up one of these along with 1000 rds of 6.8
Well it look like you have purchased a excellent new AR. Have fun with it you can never
have to many weapons!
Awesome rifle, I thought the same thing "i have to have that rail" when I seen my first lwrc in person at my local shop. Love that profile.
hey hickok, where did you get your ear plugs ?
When I want to buy ear plugs, I only get rubbish ones from the dealer.

I think mr. Hickok45 just got his coolest AR yet.. Very business-like piece of kit I think.. Looks quality and that two-tone set up pleases my eye at least. And I like the idea of the 6,8 SPC though I've never shot it.. But I guess something that kills swines good puts down also two-legged porks quite nicely.. Not to offend any pigs of any sort because they are beautiful and tasty.
Happy Father's day Hickok45 And John. Great video, God bless!
This is the second time I watched the video, the first has to be 6 months ago. I watched it to see if he has good info on the 6.8. Interesting that he thinks he has to explain himself because corporations have internet trolls that get around to put down competitors. Yes, they wanted something that hit harder, more like the AK round. It is specifically to replace the 5.56 x 45 which is the general purpose round. The 6.8 does what it is designed to do. 0-550 meters, it out performs the green tip. It was a ground up project, by SF, because their short barrelled M4's lost its effectiveness at long range in the mountains of Afghanistan.
Not sure but I think this is the 6.8 spc ii. Love LWRC, best AR period.
I chose the 6.8 SPC-II because I wanted a light weight rifle with low recoil for my children to hunt with. I also like guns to be usable for defense when possible. The AR-15 naturally fits that category.
I like my 5.56 rounds (actually 223 Wylde), and have hunted with 100% success with them, but wanted more power. Wildcats or rare rounds were off the table for me. I do reload a bit, but also want to be able to buy ammo in a need be situation...so this left me to choose from 300BO, 6.5 Grendel, or the 6.8.
The 300BO drops too fast for my liking as a rifle round, although if one wants a pistol it is a great choice.
The 6.5 seems to be a good choice for long range (because of ballistic coefficency and sectional density) of the bullets used, but at hunting distances the 6.8 out performs it, especially when using a barrel length I would want to carry hunting. I don't want hike around with a barrel over 16," much less 20-24." I like light weight platforms...and I don't shoot deer or hogs over 300 yards, much less over 400 yards...and if I did, even the Grendel would be insufficient at those distances since bullet expansion/performance would be unreliable at those distances in either the 6.5 Grendel or the 6.8 SPC/SPC-II. Not trying to bust the 6.5 Grendel, but I also considered it also has a weaker bolt and seems to have more issues with reliability and durability of components as a result of chamber/case dimensions and bolt strengths. The case taper of the 6.5 Grendel is half of that of the 6.8 and the 5.56, and seems to make the 6.8 and 5.56 more reliable for feeding/extraction. Once I get a set up complete, I want it to run. I am sure some Grendels are 100%, but it seems reliability reports favor the 6.8.
The 6.8 allows us to choose good bullets designed for hunting (Cavity Back Bullets, TSX, TTSX, Accubond, and others), brass isn't hard to find, and we can find loaded hunting ammo for it if we want/need to (Federal Fusion, Hog Hammer, and others).
When loaded in their safe "max loads" (I put quotes because I am not a wildcat guy that tests for peak pressures or pushes the envelope), with similar bullet weights the 6.8 has a muzzle velocity of around 125-250 fps faster (depending on load) from barrels I am willing to carry while hunting (12.5-16")...and the 6.8 stays ahead in performance even with a lower BC until you get around 250 yards, and from 250-300 they are about tied. Most of my hunting is less than 200 yards, and 300 yards would be max for me. For those pushing the 6.8 to its max, I understand the 6.8 stays ahead of the 6.5 Grendel much longer, but to be honest, I didn't really consider that since it doesn't apply to me.
I don't hunt over 300 yards. Some hunters may go out further, but I don't. I am sure very few shots should be taken between 300-400 yards on deer or hogs with any AR-15 platform. This isn't the AR-10 type of power. It is a light weight platform, and should be used as such...but it certainly offers the power I need to reach out the ranges I hunt (300 yards and less...mostly under 200 yards). Neither ammo carries enough power for bullets to reliably expand at distances over 400 yards...even if you could hit the target humanly. Without bullet expansion, your target shrinks. You have to be very precise and very accurate. Body shots now must be nearly dead center of the vitals. Brain shots doesn't leave enough margin for error at that distance for shooter, wind, or error in range estimation that far out.
Finally, the 6.8 fits nicely into how I like to sight my rifles in for hunting. I do not sight in at 100 yards, nor do I use the Maximum Point Blank Range will put the far zero around 210-215 yards. While both methods can work, I find the 100 yard zero method requires me to remember too much as it pertains to bullet drop from 150-300 yards, and I don't want to error on my memory. Meanwhile, I find the MPBR method to build in too much error in one's shot, for at max distance around 250 you have no room for error in your shooting with that method since that method adds about 4" of error BUILT IN to your aiming (if you cut the kill zone in half...8" / 2 = 4"). This method, it is less precise, and therefore I don't recommend it...so I cut my margin of error to 1.25" and recalculate the "PBR" using what I call Precision Point Blank Range...as long range and shooting long range are two different things. When hunting, you need your hits to be effective and ethical, and you need your bullet to not just "hit" but to perform (causing damage the vitals).
Therefore, for ME seeking precision when I hunt, I seek to reduce the built in error...not increase it. Knowing where my bullet will hit in relationship to the center of the kill zone is important when hunting. When using the MPBR, my bullets would be the bottom of the kill zone at far distances, and as a result, if I happen to shoot low (or even left or right since the kill zone is generally oblique in shape) I would not have an ethical shot. Add lack of expansion and energy to the equation and you don't have an ethical kill. By using the PRECISION Point Blank Range and setting my far zero to 150 yards instead of the MPBR of 210, I will cut the built in error of precision three to four fold, making for much more ethical kills...and know you just need to know the approximate bullet drop at 200, 250, and 300 yards. What is cool for ME is these numbers are easy to remember with the 6.8...being ~3", ~6," and ~12" respectively. By knowing the drop at these three distances I can estimate 225 and 275 and adjust. And when less shooting 175 my built in error will remain within 1 - 1.25" (1 & 1/4" max error) of center instead of having having 4" of error built in. I am not a perfect shooter, and want room for error, allowance for wind, or error in minor range estimation. AND, I still don't want to have my bullets perform, and don't hunt beyond a bullet's performance range or MY ABILITIES.
The 6.8 fits my goals well.
American Sentinel K9, LLC I chose the 300 blk, because I wanted yo hunt and home defend with the same firearm. I live in Maine, most of the super Sonic ammo is 0 at 200 yrd. The 7.62 is a great caliber in the woods and brush.... Where a 5.56 could be knocked off track by a twig, the 300blk will plow through and hit it's mark..... If I were in the mid west I would definitely want something with better range.... 300 yrd is about max in my neck of the woods.... Really happy with my 300blk, I am considering a 5.56 upper for plinking..... .223 is so cheap.
I guess you didn't know faster projectiles are more likely to cut through obstacles than slower ones...even when they weigh less.
American Sentinel K9, LLC p=mv where p= momentum m=mass v=velocity ..... Neither mass nor velocity make more difference than the other. So it comes down to efficiency of the projectile..... 30cal is a good efficient projectile.
Why did you choose overlook why the 6.8 is faster that the 300 BO?
It is because the max load of the 300BO...is only around 20 grains of powder while the 6.8 is 10+ grains more. This makes the lighter bullets gain enough velocity to eclipse offset of bullet weight as it is a different round with a more powerful load (faster but lighter bullet).
You are the only one I have ever heard of trying to suggest the 300BO to be even close to the power abilities of the 6.8...and no offense, but it isn't a valid comparison. The 6.8 is able to obtain considerably more velocity with the same weight bullets, and even more when a lighter bullet is used.
The 30 cal is very efficient when it has the powder behind it.
Everything about this channel is entertaining
Buh Rooh this is like the second time he twisted a barrel. Starting to wonder about the machining on those flash hiders.
Dam this guy is a good marksmen ! ! ! ! Gotta be the best I've seen ever for rapid bullseyes ! ! His shooting is more like artwork !! Hours of practice in the thousands likely along with duty fire under fire. I bet he is good with a .223 bench rest. He had to have been sniper trained early on in order to feel long targets like he does. I can shoot strings with a .22 round at 50 yards without direct sights 8 out of 10 by looking down the barrel at a 10 oclock position because I feel the target but this guy tops my best. Hats off ... .. ..
LWRC is my favorite carbine. I love mine.
Have you heard of F&D Defense ... guess who lwrc ripped off
me2ontube cool story bro
Dont know if you're being sarcastic or not but don't take my word for it ... there was a lawsuit n lwrc lost - chk it out for yourself it's public record
me2ontube previous owner has nothing to do with the current LWRCI.
Aimpoints are great but for the price difference I'd go with the Trijicon brand red dots, MRO or the RMR. The gentleman who mentioned the battery contact points is probably right. Should be an easy fix but for the price you shouldn't have to worry about that stuff. I've heard the same thing about the RMR. So I suppose it is what it is.
greetings from germany 🇩🇪👍🏻
dertrixxxa Texan with German Blood here, notice my last name 🇩🇪 greetings brother !!!
dertrixxxa greetings from America!
I love my lwrc 6.8 spc One of the best guns ever made unbelievable👍
Did he just say "Got em'!" this is amazing.
I'm an ak guy. but if they changed the caliber u think 6.5 grendel would be a great choice especially for longer range accuracy
I shouldn't have had my sound all the way up when I clicked the video 😂
I built my AR around an LWRC SPR upper. 100% quality manufacturer. 5,000+ rds and zero malfunctions. I went 1,500 rds without cleaning. BCG and chamber looked like a DI gun after one mag. If you have the cash, I would highly recommend LWRC.
A good morning toast with my coffee and welcome to all the Hickok fans :).
Lwrc. land warfare recourse corporation. Is a very fine rifle company. Love mine runs like a well oiled machine. But they are expensive not in everyone's budget. If you can afford one it'll be the last rifle you'll ever need to buy.
Does it have same durability as a hk 416? Because it's one of the only M16 platform rifles, that are as reliable as an ak.
@@DirtyDan1 im not 100% sure about it being as reliable. I dont have a hk 416 to compare it with. I know a guy that had gotten a parts kit with a brownels receiver loves his. But i can tell you this if i had to go into battle tonight i would have my lwrc with me. And i have many rifles to choose from
mister hichok can you adoped me
I do like the LWRC, but I already took the plunge and bought a Barrett REC7 in 6.8 and I'm very happy with it.
He mentioned 6.5 Grendel so I liked it
I have the Barrett Rec7 chambered in 6.8SPC. I like it. Like you mentioned it does have a little more kick than a 5.56/.223 but not as heavy a rifle as compared to a 7.62x51/.308.
Have you done a video on 458 SOCOM ?
Beautiful rifle, nice choice for purchase. There's nothing wrong with the 6.8 but there's also nothing wrong with the 5.56 either with modern ammo and a skilled user. Now I'm just a Lowly trigger puller and not a ballistics expert, but from what I've seen most of the criticism of the 5.56 cartridge comes from A) use of standard ball ammo and B) a few of the same issue being repeated over and over again. There was once a time when the .45 ACP reigned over all, but now we have seen guys take 6-7-8-12+ rounds of the big 230gr slugs and still be a threat. Does this mean the .45 is no longer viable? Absolutely not. All this means is that every single real life firefight is different and will produce different end results. The same goes for the 5.56, 9mm, or any other cartridge. There are no magic bullets or weapons, and there will never be one "best" cartridge or caliber. The best thing you can do is pick a caliber and platform that YOU shoot well and are confident with, load with PROVEN ammo not ammo based on hype, and practice practice practice. A 9mm in the hands of someone who knows how to properly use it is better then a .50 BMG in the hands of someone who never trains.
903 view in five minutes....not bad
Mankelberrie Pretty sure the count isn't exactly real time.
Jocko Jonson yea, probably over 1000 in five minutes hehe
Hickok45 I just wanted to say that you are truly someone I aspire to be someday, just havin fun on a range and not being pressured into certain gun bias by negative people. Keep making these awesome videos!!
That finish looks fantastic
6.8 looks pretty nice. Really would like to get a 6.5 Grendel together. Great long range potential.
Happy father's day Hickcock45
Two words... "LaRue Grendel". Please, please, please, PLEASE get your hands on one - I would kill (PCoops) to watch you putting it through it's paces! You're unconscious deadly and have forgotten more than I'll ever know! $2,000 for an assembled/tested 1/2 MOA 18" FDE with a 30mm scope mount and 40 rds, OR $800 for a complete upper KIT (+ FCG & stock/tube) that will drop right into that Tactical Edge lower of yours. I guarantee you will be VERY impressed!
how expensive is the cartridge?
Henry Woods over $1/rd.
1 billion dollars!
You can find it all day for .60-.70 cents a round. Match grade = Over $1/per
I pay .70 for S&B. It is my stock pile.
gunbot.net
6.5 Grendel is king.
Do you have the 460 Rowland drop in kit for 1911s yet? I would love to see your take on it
Beautiful rifle...and hope to pick one up soon.
Haven't had piston since an old SKS.
And...I understand why folks like to hunt with AR's. Semi's with many-round mags are convenient and fun.
But...in my thinking...they are defense weapons, not hunting rifles.
If I want distance and punch, bolt and a scope are the tools, seems to me.
Inside 300 yards...an AR in its role...is the name of the game, IMHO.
Hickok...given the quality of the barrel on your 6.8, how many rounds do you think it's good for.
For big bucks, I'd want it to last...
That gun has a really cool looking fluted barrel.. I noticed it has 3 modes on the selector is it one of those binary trigger systems or something? Also how much did you pay for it?
If I had to wager a guess it'd have to be converted into a full auto. Some ARs have a faux giggle switch just for that very reason. The conversion is not that hard but you have to have a license to manufacture full auto rifles before you can.
you can't manufacture full auto rifle for the civilian market, it's illegal
No, you can. You just need a class 2 type 7 or 10 FFL to manufacture and sell NFA firearms.
Celtic...as for manufacturing you're correct. However, a FFL dealer who's permitted to sell NFA items...can NOT sell Brand New Full or Select Auto's to civilians. A civilian can purchase as Used select/full auto only since circa 1986. Hence, why full auto's are so expensive. The FFL dealer is allowed to have full auto's for sale to govt. entities. Prior to 1986 a civilian could easily purchase a brand new full auto...which I did for 4 different times. You still had to form 1 the item with the ATF.
You're right. I wasn't paying attention to the "civilian" part. Thanks for the catch.
I have what I call my "Frankenstein," it's an LWRC SIX8 receiver set with a Bison Armory 6.8 Recon barrel and a Black Rifle Arms low profile piston system, and a Samson Evo keymod rail. It's absolutely my favorite AR to shoot (though the most expensive one).
Great video you should do a review on the tec 9. Like if you agree
The Gun Patriots I get a kick out of that gun for some reason. I think its hilarious
Should Hickok45 wear a hoodie too?
Why not make this the new SI for the infantry. They're all used to AR 15s and while undoubtedly different and a step forward they are remarkably similar. just gotta beat the gas piston learnings into the grunts
