- I hit "buy" the moment I saw this quirky camera, but it's been sitting on my self for the most part ever since. Well, no more! I'm taking this bad boy out for a spin or two and figured I'd give my initial impressions!

Last year I purchased a Coolpix 800.. not easy the easiest camera to use but I’ve had some really nice images out of it (1998 and 2mp if I remember correctly).. might just dust it off and have another go 😊
Yeah I was honestly surprised how sharp the images out of this 3mp sensor can be. It definitely bucked my expectations!
I have a later coolpix - the 4500. Not used it for a long time now, when I did it was almost entirely for macro shots of insects. It gave excellent results and never made me feel that I needed something better than the 4500.
That's awesome! In exploring a lot of these older cameras, I've had the feeling that maybe a lot of the times we feel we need something newer or better, it's because advertising told us we did. Not to discredit tech advances, but I'm learning that a lot of these obsolete cameras are really not obsolete at all. Thanks for watching and sharing your perspective!
Hello Colton, I have to know does this camera have a feature to include date stamp on the photo?
Hi! It will provide date info in the file, but it will not overlay that date on the actual image. Mine does not have an option to add that.
literally am charging mine now it play with it today. It is a clunky thing but fun for close up stuff. Tiff files, not fine or standard as well for post processing.
Yes! I'm excited to play around with the macro shots! Pretty solid camera with the ability to save tiffs and make edits! Is yours a recent pickup or have you had it for a while?

Does the camera have an option to include date stamp on photos?
Just grabbed one in mint condition a few days ago, for approx. USD 30 - pretty happy :)) I'm old enough to remember well the time when this camera was a top dog, looking forward to shooting with it in 2023 :) Thanks!

If you're going to review stuff, i think you need to always include the bear shots because you've kind of set that up as a benchmarking thing and, to my knowledge, You Own It! And i bet a kind of semi-macro will give you your best shots with this too. Looking forward to the results, hombre. Cheers.
Haha yes without realizing it the gummy bears are the benchmark! I can say they are featured biggly in the next video!
