Had a blast gigging with you guys and the likes of Exit Ten, Viatrophy etc back in the day. Was a pleasure opening for you back then and always knew Sylosis would blow up and leave us all in the dust! Learned a hell of a lot from you boys and it's so awesome to see how far things have come since the old shows at The Croft (Bristol) and the like. Keep on killing it 🙌
It was funny to hear Josh say that early on it was pretty much him harping on everyone to practice more and play faster cause alot of the greats were like that from a young age. Hetfield and Mustaine come to mind as guys who were like that when they were young as well.
Man this was so rad to watch - I love how Josh hasn't changed a bit!! 😂😂 Having that work ethic and drive to write the best music from a young age - inspiring mate!
Awesome doc. Thank you for sharing your memories of the band's formative years. I was hoping itd go a little further into the Supreme Oppressor and CCOA years. I've always wondered how Jamie and Rob ended up in the band. Jamie was the first version of Sylosis when I found the band and as a drummer, Rob's work was a huge influence on me at the time.
Man I hope this becomes a series!! Josh has written some of my all time favourite riffs, and like Jay said, he’s one of the best guitarists of this generation now.. I love seeing that work ethic so young, and this has Vulgar Video feels to it! Now please come across the pond and visit Canada!!
This was the best birthday present. Been looking forward to this since it was announced. Long crappy day at work, get home, saw this was posted and all of it melted away. Hell yeah!
As someone in my mid 20's now I basically grew up my early years and all of my teens listening to and following Sylosis, I go to your shows everytime you tour now, have no idea how much of an impact you've had on me, thanks for always staying authentic and real, love you guys ❤
Fascinating to see the really early days and whets the appetite for part 2 onwards to see more as to how the band evolved further. Interesting that the band had two singers and now Josh just sings himself!
It's mad, I spent my youth going to the Purple Turtle, growing up in Reading as a metalhead, feeling like a bit of an outcast. Only now I realise you guys are from Reading?! I must've been living under a rock!
it's such a strange feeling seeing the events that ultimately led to the release of songs that my younger self would later cover on this very platform (youtube) for loving and resonating with it so much so fucking wholesome, and so cool, it's impossible not to admire Josh for this 🖤
Being from reading i saw sylosis a bunch of times but one hilarious gig from the early days which im sure josh remembers was at the fez club reading in 05 when they supported none other than Vanilla Ice!! Yes that actually happened. I remember everyone in the audience really impressed with Josh's solos
Loved it. Sylosis needs to be way bigger! Time for a new touring drummer so you don't have to work around Ali's busy schedule (don't replace him tho!!). But hit the road HARD this band has to take off
First came across you when Conclusion of an age had recently released I stumbled across the video for Tera and been following ever since. Been great to see you guys back at it. Also mad to see Chris Steele from Exit Ten make an apperence aswell.. Fun Fact, I bought an Edwards Guitar from him and picked it up from Josh in manchester whilst he was on tour.. Josh thought id short changed them by 20 quid untill he recounted 🤣
Yes, Pissing Razors!!! Still love those guys even nowadays (if only they could get their recent album on Deezer, I would be smashing that on repeat, haha).
I need part 2 asap. I want to see how Conclusion of an age was born. Still one if my favorite albums
an absolute face melter of an album!!

Oh my god, I thought you didn't know the band Sylosis. i would like one collaboration mors principium est and sylosis 😮
Holy shit, you just unlocked so many core-teenage memories for me. fuck
Wow thought I was the only one who know exit ten, love them! Saw them live with 36 crazyfists in Leeds
It's awesome to see the history of the most underrated band in metal.
Personally I've always seen it as Floodgate or Textures
Haha yes this is sick. Do more
Of course the man is here. Ahah It is a great video. Hope there's more.
Do more is right. Id like to hear more into them getting signed by their first label, The Supreme Oppressor, and how Rob and Jamie came into the band.
Jamie i am proud that i know sylosis earlier than you lol
@@yogawismawan8580 how long have you known of them? I’ve been a fan since 2007
Funny to see that Josh has been an absolute menace on the guitar since he was so young. I had my suspicions, most generational talents are like that.

@@incrediblewizard4676from what other people say he's still like that lmao. An absolute machine

Josh, you are one of the most creative and intersting metal guitarists today. Your music, riffs and solos are amazing!
hope we get more material like this... too damn cool to watch the old stuff that build the band.
This is content I've been wanting. Feels like I just bought a Sylosis DVD 😂
This was the best birthday present. Been looking forward to this since it was announced. Long crappy day at work, get home, saw this was posted and all of it melted away. Hell yeah!

Reminds me so much of playing back in my youth. Thanks for taking me back guys.
I love these old demos haha. Sounds so sick. Chimaira and Slipknot vibes!

Been a massive fan since 2012. You guys are seriously one of the best modern metal bands out there. 🤘
"Conclusion of an age" el mejor disco de esta banda.

This is ace. I’m routing for these lads.
Brilliant, fantastic to hear the stories from all the past members 🤘
So cool. Thank you.
You guys definitely need more than 100k subs. Gold plaques as well seriously, yall are too good to not be HUGE I'm serious
Always cool to learn more about the band. See that it didn't all just begin perfectly and move like clockwork 🙃

Had the original demo off Glen, wish I knew where it was now.
Come to Argentina Josh 🇦🇷🇦🇷
This was awesome!! Btw why isnt the first EP Casting Shadows on spotify??
The demo heard in this isnt casting shadows.
This is so sick!
Spat my coffee today when I googled what sylosis means.
Bien Josh, y donde está el doblaje o los subtítulos en español? Jajaja bien ahí, saludos a Rob
How can we hear the early demo?
josh saying that their early songs were hot garbage..but i actually thought that those were hidden gems
cheers from Russia!
this band should be bigger but I'm glad they're not because it's our little secret
‘He could sing’….😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Huh, they were AngelMaker before AngelMaker
