- My guest this week is guitarist and frontman of Sylosis, and one of my personal oldest friends Josh Middleton. We talked about their latest album A Sign Of Things To Come but mostly about growing up together (including his CRAIG REYNOLDS DOS AND DONTS sign for his room), a killer Anthony Kiedis impression, touring with Metallica, and much more. I know we’re all supposed to be “FVCKING BRVTAL METAL” and stuff but this episode was actually adorable. The fact you spent the whole thing just messing around and being silly like when you were kids was so full of positive energy.

Josh's 4 year old at religious school reciting lord's prayer and him in his cannibal corpse joggers is pretty much a snap with me. Don't even realise I'm in Hellripper and Coffin Mulch merch half the time😂

After seeing this episode dropped I checked out "The Sign of Things To Come" because I never before listened to Sylosis, and it instantly turned into one of my all time favorite albums.
The total bromance going on is so infectious!
I’ll never forget, very first metal show. Sylosis was opening for a tour in like 2011, line up was them, hellyeah , in flames and lamb of god. I was so blown away with their performance I’ve been a fan ever since edge of the earth!

Love the new Sylosis album. Its new, but still Sylosis. One of the few bands that has never disappointed me with a new release.
What a great episode. Really funny. The look on Josh’s face when Craig says what if he died before this comes out and everyone is like oooooh eerie. Haha. Classic.
Sylosis and Viatrophy played an all dayer in our shitey town in Hampshire back in 08/09, incredible to see these two mad lads smashing it still. Excellent pod chaps!

I just remembered... it must have been 8 years ago, I went to a Sylosis concert and Josh was selling merch... I was so starstruck! Josh was soo nice and calm while I was shaking soooo hard, I just could not take a stable picture. So it made me shake even more lol thankfully a helpful stranger took my phone and took the picture for me 😂 I still wear those T-shirts 😊

seeing sylosis in London last month broke me, I have been listening for years and seeing them perform old songs at kentish town was such a special moment. cannot wait to see you again!

Great interview! Really goood questions that weren't generic. Very refreshing compared to the usual spiel that Josh would be asked. 10/10.
Conclusion of an Age is Sylosis' best record they've ever made imo. Riffs for days, lots of melody, amazing solos, great vocals. Josh will probably disagree with me haha. Even though I love Josh's vocals on every release since then, Jamie is a mega talent on the mic too haha.
i got into Sylosis with Dormant Heart. that one has a special place in my heart. But Cycle of Suffering got me in the feels. this was a fun chat! listened to this as a fell asleep last night. :)

One minute I could be listening to Testament and think I wanna do thrash then listen to KoRn and accept that actually I do like nu metal no matter what the elitists say! I love long albums! More songs usually mean more NEW and more COOL songs overall.

@@reynlord666 I was having the same type of shit you’re talking about and took a pharmacogenetic dna test to find an antidepressant that doesn’t fuck me up. That’s how they found it. The methylated b vitamins work better than any med I’ve been on. Good luck
