There's a funny ass video somewhere out there where Tobias slips on some confetti in the middle of this song, on the actual line "fall from the heavens to the ground" sits up almost Michael Myers style, hits the next line but with just a slight hitch because he's trying not to laugh.
I'm 61 yrs young and recently found this band by accident...I've been addicted since...😁 I've recently bought a POP bubble head of Papa Emiritus IV.....
I’m so with you on this Ghost journey, they are my FAVORITE band. That being said have you ever checked out Volbeat??? Awesome guitar riffs..I think you’d like them. The Devils Bleeding Crown and Shotgun Blues are two good ones that come to mind. Love your reactions! ✨
That is Papa III man! My fave. And I’m glad you’ve had a good experience with the fan base, which I have as well. More suggestions - I’ve mentioned Griftwood before and also check out Hunter’s Moon for a more “commercial” side of Ghost that still rips. The whole album of Impera is amazing - and I’ve been listening to Meliora a lot lately so anything from that one! 🤘🏻
since you like ghost you may also really enjoy magna carta cartel, MCC for short. tobias forge used to play in the band, then they disbanded and now the other members reformed the band. they describe their music as "magical rock" which is probably the best way to put it imo i highly recommend em, some good tracks are "silence" and "turn", though honestly i fell in love with all their tracks
I was just about to make the same suggestion - I was listening to Ceremony and Devotion on repeat all weekend for some reason, I had a craving for some live Papa III I guess!
YOU have to watch FX Lauren video titled “Ghost lore for beginners” it’s 10 years of lore wrapped up in a easy to digest video that will help tie all of the experience into what Ghost is.
What you had to say about Ghost fans is very sweet, and also pretty true. If you like Ghost, we're going to be cool with you. Sure, we may quibble amongst ourselves about what their best song, album, or band lineup is, but we'll all agree that Ghost rock, and fellow fans are fast friends. Here's the big secret about Ghost fans: apart from new Ghost music, few things make us happier than helping to make new Ghost fans. Welcome to the family. ;)
Some more suggestions: 1. Pro Memoria ( beautiful, but criminally underrated song) 2. Griftwood (amazing harmonies, I'd say it's a better version of Spillways) 3. Hunters Moon (extremely addicting riff, u might like it bc its a bit heavier than the other two) have fun and enjoy ur ride through the clergy 😉✌️
Pro Memoria is SO underrated. The song is beautiful, and the lyrics get into some very dark territory, much in keeping with that album's Plague theme. And I love it.
Nice! Yes, Ghost does draw from many acts. There is some "Them Bones" in this song, and AIC did some "creepy" vocal harmonies that Ghost has drawn from. Ghost also draws from Blue Oyster Cult - spooky vibe, 70's riffs. There is King Diamond, Sabbath and of course ABBA (Swedish pop royalty).
So far you have done the best job of pronouncing Dance Macabre of all the reactions I've seen! 😂 This song always ups my energy when it plays on my Ghost playlist. Since your band is instrumental, you might think about checking out one of Ghost's instrumentals from their Prequelle album. I personally recommend Miasma, but Helvetesfönster is really interesting, too. For Mummy Dust, someone else posted a link to Mummy Dust live from Ghost's Ceremony and Devotion, and it is probably the best quality you're going to find for that song live.
For mummy dust theres no offical video... I'd say this one is pretty good: ua-cam.com/video/ZkDBQwFftxU/v-deo.html Ghost does have mummy dust from their live album but its only a still image: ua-cam.com/video/9r5oZwXFNVk/v-deo.html
I found a live version from a 2017 concert. The audio quality is better on this one compared to the other ones I've found, and I prefer Tobias's voice from the 2017 era. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/YKBaVboGVUc/v-deo.html Also, if you go to Ghost's official UA-cam channel, they have a live version of Mummy Dust from their Ceremony and Devotion concert. There is not a video of this performance; just audio. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/9r5oZwXFNVk/v-deo.html
I just realized the keyboardist's solo from the first link does not sound that great in the video, so I'm not sure if this is the best one to do a reaction video for. Otherwise, the other instruments and vocals are amazing.
Haha yea…I have once more around the suns album cover as a half sleeve tattoo…their in my top 5 bands…Id tried reacting to their music vids but they got blocked
@@keithkinkade4265 I dig it..deff could fit right on a Led Zeppelin album…I just played it in my car omw to work…its almost seems like a live recording and I really dig that sound…guitar tone on the solo was slick too
@@rockdariff thanks brother! It's just a demo. We have 8 demo songs out. They are all pretty different. Check em out when you get the time. We've only been a band for 3 years and we are trying to build or fan base. We call our fans Reigniacs! We are on all digital platforms. Thanks for the listen and feedback!
They are very good live but, for a first hearing, why spoil your experience with a song that was recorded with different people's potatoes?.. I don't get it.. Just enjoy it in its studio form first, then, as you already know how it's supposed to sound, go to live versions...or better, go to one of their concerts. That being said, even if a song doesn't have a video, that doesn't mean you can't react to it. it's a shame that you get to ignore great tunes just because there is no video. Just close your eyes and react, then tell us if you enjoyed it or not. Spare yourself from waiting. Don't just listen to scattered songs that don't relate to each other like they suppose to as a story line. Make a line of videos of the whole album, starting from the first to the last. You'll enjoy it, we'll enjoy it. That is what I want to see more often...

I got the timing of the lyrics wrong but here it is:

Welcome to the Clergy.

59 here. Same, but a year later.
For longer songs, I recommend Kaisarion and Respite on the spitalfields from Impera, their latest album
Respite is a masterpiece
"You will wear your independence like a crown" is one of my favorite lyrics.
Tobias is a song writing Genius. The amount of Quality rock music ghost has is incredible

Yeah it’s hard to find a high quality live video version of Mummy Dust…I wish they would put out a full concert on Blue Ray…
@@djmelotte8220 I heard a rumour that they're doing it this tour cycle. I hope so - they've been looking and sounding fucking amazing!

The video contains clips from the movie Madame Satan. So it's a mix of old and new 🙂
"Mummy Dust" live at Download Festival 2018 It's pretty cool and with a good sound, plus It's the Cardinal era

It’s almost like Layne Staley’s voice in this song..
Macabre like mah-cobb. Mah-(corn-on-the)-cobb.

yup this one is Papa Terzo or Papa III my beloved
They've been compared to Blue oyster cult quite a bit. The song Joan Crawford in particular. Such a great track. I'm sure you'd like it too 👍
I def get an AIC Grind, from the self titled album vibe!

I found you a good live recording of Mummy Dust. Look up: Ghost - Mummy Dust ( Live Argentina 2017). It's as good as you can get.

Inknow this is old but theres a live version of Mummy Dust if you go their "Ceremony & Devotion" playlist, on their channel
The movie is DeMille's Madam Satan
HQ live mummy dust is available only on the Ceremony and Devotion live album, but that one has no visuals
One of my many favorites, it's so hard to have just one favorite from this awesome band!!!!😈💜🤘😊
please do respite on the Spitalfields
