What do you do if your audio device isn't in that list? if this is a new audio device you just added (like a USB Microphone). How do I refresh that list and force sonar to re-scan for devices?
That's latency, it means that you need to edit the buffer settings for your audio device, get them as low as you can if you want to do live monitoring.
Set the track to a mono track input - your issue is that your mic is a mono source; the audio track should be taking input from just one input channel (such as input 1), rather than from a combined stereo source.
If you're sending a mic in, the mic will only be on one side of the audio spectrum. Set the input of the channel strip to be only the one mic in, rather than a stereo mic in, and you should be ok.
hey how do you make an audio track a stereo?i am only hearing my vocals on my left side,i hit the button on the master fader section, that sits under the mute button,i got the sound on both sides now but im not sure if its really stereo.
Can you use your laptop as a way of recording? I have no external items yet. I did see a few devices under the list the first time I tried but now they are gone. . .
i have a question ..when i record my vocal and play it back..Its not matching up with the music..It's off..when i record i'm on beat ,but when i play it back its off.Do know what going on when it do that?????
I have a ua-25EX soundcard. I have all the settings correct. I can play back anything on my Sonar X1, but i cannot record with a microphone or transfer my midi tracks to a single audio track. i have done this amny times before with Sonar 4 and Audify 2 soundcard. can anyone please help? Peter
I have all my divice's installed properly.I uninstalled Sonar because it was not working how i want. Now i use a simple program named REAPER V.4 for x64.Is easy and this program can see my microphone.

@yoaverez Check that all the proper drivers are installed for your new audio device.
Sure that your audio device's drivers are installed correctly?
