3:05 input and output devices..,the interface dosen't appear there although the laptop has recognized it. Any ideas why catwalk doesn't recognize the interface?
Hi i have this problem that for some reason no one else seems to have. As im working on Midi and maybe recording other midi instruments, one of them, the audio for some reason keeps going super low. Where you can barely hear it, its really weird, if i close up cakewalk and restart it, the volume gets fixed. But after a bit, again, it'll go super low. No one has been able to help me fix this, have you ever experienced this before?
Look at the event list in the track. There is probably a volume message. Controller number for volume that got recorded into the event list. Just delete it.
Great tutorial I’ve recently downloaded cakewalk, I’m using a Yamaha MG mixer, I can hear sound from the laptop through the USB but not getting a signal when I arm the track to record. Can you help me out?
So I'm having a problem with Cakewalk. When I record a new/separate track it records the previous track into my new track in addition to the new recording. When I mute the 1st track, I can record cleanly, but that's no way to record. PLEASE HELP!!!
My initial thought is that you are recording in comping mode. Go to preferences and then to record tab. In there you will see "Comping, Overwrite and Sound on Sound. I use Sound on Sound most of the time. Cakewalk I believe uses comping by default.
@@danielcarlheister680 Thanks for the reply! I've tried recording midi and just audio. It does the same thing (rerecords the original take and the new audio). I've experimented with the different record options as well. I feel like my audio interface is sending what I should just be monitoring back into the mix. It's an Alesis Multimix 4, but it worked fine for a while. I'd understand if you're stumped too lol. Thanks again.
0k i move my comment i was wrong waspai shared that it made me use works real g00d. i f0und 0ut i had t0 set it in "sync and caching", then f0r "file system" play back buffer and record buffer i started at 256. i was trying t0 fight the sample rate thinking it was that, nope wrong place t0 set in driver setting .what i f0und is with cakewalk making me use " waspai shared" its way faster and better then asi04all that i use t0 use bef0re last up date w0w.

what is the make and model of your interface. Is it an older unit or brand new?

I keep getting an “ unable to open audio “ message whenever i try to play an audio i imported from my laptop. I’m not sure why please help!!

Sorry you are having trouble. Are you recording audio or midi when this happens?
