      I have learned a lot since recording this video & put up far more on the Mazda’s.
      SCBS doesn’t ever give any issue, only engine based problems 😉👍👍

    Hello Peter, I appreciate your videos about Mazdas - very educational for me :-) I have a 2013 M6 2.2D AT and had recently blown head gasket, so after diy repair I am still watching the engine if everything is ok. So far so good (5000 km), but I have a feeling the fuel economy is since the repair slightly higher (10%). All the sensors (MAF, injector correction, pressures) are in common range. Could it be not propperly seated injector? I can observe a blow-by from oil opening on valve cover, it is regular - not paf-paf. It smells like exhaust but i can not see any smoke. Do have those diesel engines some PCV valve? Thank you very much.

      A head gasket repair on these is quite a large undertaking. I have spent 2 to 3 days doing them so well done 👏👏
      I haven’t ever had any issues with PCV valves but the injector sealing washers very commonly fail. Did you replace the when doing the head gasket??

      @@kennedysgarage3281 thank you, it was very challenging for me, as an amateur spent many days on it. I put new washers, of course, but i didnt have the resurfacing tool kit, so i cleaned as much as i could without it. :-)

      @@kennedysgarage3281 I am sorry for the confusion Peter. The head was proffesionaly resurfaced. I mean the injector holes are not 100% clean like a mirror. :-) So that is why i think, there is a potential for leaking.

    Great info. Feb 2022 I had full decarbon done (20000km ago)2 weeks ago had to get gauze in sump replaced and all injector seals and washers aswell as sealing kit after oil pressure light came on. I was getting that horrible noise for a week and p0101(maf malfunction) that cleared itself up after couple days. Forward scbs light is staying on though. Took sensor off, cleaned it, cleaned the glass, cleaned around front bumper etc but still insists on staying on. Any help greatly appreciated. 2016 mazda 3 2.2 skyactive rubbish 🙈

      There is nothing wrong with your SCBS system, it is going to be coming up as a fault due to an engine management issue. So fix the engine faults and the SCBS fault will go away.
      It could possibly be an exhaust camshaft worn, but it is hard to say without seeing it 🤔🤔

    • @jimmydeewex
      @jimmydeewex Рік тому +1

      @@kennedysgarage3281 thanks for the reply. Watched the video and was hoping it wasn't camshaft 🙈 all engine faults have been cleared and fixed, so now your suggestion looks likely 😭💰💰

    Can visually being checked if exhaust camshaft worn & hydraulic tappets gone soft ?

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  9 місяців тому

      Camshaft being worn can only be proven by removing the injectors & rocker cover. But it is worn on 90% of them after 80 to 100,000 mls. A really common failure item

    Will the SCBS error message automatically come up if the engine light is on. I've an engine light, traction control light and SCBS message on. Only code I have is p0047. Turbo boost control A circuit low. I've just rebuilt the engine after it ceased. All is going good apart from these lights and error message. I don't have much boost on low revs either. But I think I've either mixed up vacuum lines or the plugs on the 2 turbo solenoid on top of gearbox. I hope lol

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 роки тому

      The boost pressure sensor gets extremely blocked up with carbon & on a full rebuild it can be very easily overlooked 🤔
      I will do a UA-cam short tomorrow on the pipes and boost connectors, this could be handy 🤞

    • @kennedysgarage3281

      It could quite possibly be an injector issue or the exhaust camshaft can give the same symptoms when worn due to the exhaust gases not being able to exit the cylinders. It is hard to pinpoint any more than that without seeing the car 😔😔

The automatic gearbox just goes in one gear and stick's with it and when I want to go in manual it only appears M no number of gear. You need to focus on the ‘engine management’ issue. All of the other faults you are having are only due to an engine malfunction. Fix the engine faults and every thing else will be ok 👍

      I cannot remember the exact mileage on this one but they all seem to hitting problems around 150,000 kms or 110,000 mls.
      Mazda recommend intake manifold decarb at 100,000 kms & it is well worth doing in order to avoid any Dpf related faults 😉

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  10 місяців тому +2

      3 items can cause these problems.
      1. intake manifold blocked
      2. Exhaust pressure sensor A ( it has only 1 pipe) & check the pipe to it isn’t blocked
      3. Exhaust camshaft & hydraulic tappets worn
      Very simple but a bit of time in repairing these issues 😉👍👍👍

In the begining i receive scbs, tpms and check engine errors all together ( while i was on highway on high speed while i was in speed decrease or breaking). Now i get this errors together every next day even in city driving, but only when my speed is decreasing or right after the breaking. Car goes into safe mode and when i restart the car errors are gone.
