I have successfully raised 2 males together, and their ages apart, but yes I agree that it takes up a lot of personal attention. The oldest was around 8 to 10 years old when we rescued him, wife really wanted a friend for him... so I researched the subject and everyone said don't cause 1 would kill the other... there's more to this awesome journey with my boys, but 4 years later ... they get along pretty much most of the time and don't have any enclosure, in the house and the yard, but a lot of attention to successfully achieve

I made the mistake of trying to put my two beardies together when i got my second one. He was much smaller than my first (Mirabar). Things were going well, she was being nice, and didnt seem to mind him. But then i moved him to her net-bed...she tried to eat him--or at least defend her territory.
I kept them is neighboring tanks--with a divider between them to hide each other--until he was big enough to not be seen as a snack. As he got bigger i started to give them some playtime together out in the open. He tried mating her and she didnt fight him. Succeful playdates together.
After enough time i put them in the same tank, and they were happy. They've had three clutches of eggs now--but they weren't fertile. Or they just raisined up overnight, and didnt see the embroy when i 'candled' the eggs.

I, a 12 year old atm, got a bearded dragon for christmas. My Sister who was 18 years old at the time decided to impulse buy one because i had gotten one for some reason. She kept it in this small glass aquarium and its living condition was just an absolute mess. I was practically forced to co-habitate my beardies cus she just couldnt take care of her lizard.

I am trying to convince my friend to get another cage for his male dragon. He has two together one male one female and they do seem to be bonded, however I am concerned that female might be stressed. Not my pets but I come over often and play with them together. Can they bond at all or is it usually just mating?

I have a question about my fancy bearded dragon. On my dragon's front left hand, two of his fingers are always sticking together. I always wet it and take off whatever is keeping them stuck together. It looks like gel like substance on the fingers. Any idea on what it may be. Thank you

I do have a queation. Whats the best way to clean their food dishes? Iveseen that i can and that i can't use dawn dush soap. Thank y'all so much

We used dawn dish soap for years. The only problem I see is if you don't rinse them of all the soap. But if you want a cheap ready maid disinfectant, we mix 2 ounces Listerine mouth wash to 8 ounces of water in a spray bottle and disinfect food dishes with it. We also let them dry in natural sunlight.

@ColdBloodCreations oh!! All right. That's good I try to rinse everything really well i(washing for abiut a minute or two), plain water) in 125 degree water because I wasn't sure if I should dawn or not. Thank you so so much

Unless you are going to watch them the entire time, don't do it. I had a bearded dragon bob his head at every bearded dragon he saw. He was a mean thing. As with all animals they have differing personalities . Some are worse than others is the bottom line.

Nah I'd more say, You should know both dragons by personality, Have them socialize outside the enclosure. If they dont show aggression towards each other its fine, Ofcourse there will be some dominating involved by one of the beardies but that comes natural with housing any animal togheter.
