Hi, I live in Australia and just wanted to clear up a misconception in your video. There isn't actually much sand in the outback where bearded dragons live in the wild, its actually mostly rocks, clay, and dirt. Since the dirt is red in the outback, some people mistake it for sand, let me tell you, it is not. The only place there's naturally occurring sand in Australia is at the beach. Besides that, I loved your video and found it really helpful! I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, I thought everything else in your video was brilliant and highly informative. Keep doing what you're doing!
been trying my best to educate myself as much as I can, and there seems to be some small spots with reddish sand. I think that's where the red morph originates from. regardless you are completely right, most places are supposed to be completely sand free. I guess that might be why red dragons are rarer? I dunno, I am merely a humble amateur.
@@ColdBloodCreations see this shows your genuine😊. Its not a peeing contest, you just care about providing the best info available for taking care of the little guys. Good man😉
I just want to thank you so much for these videos. I just rescued a bearded dragon. He’s 3. And apparently, he’s only eaten greens for two years. Zero worms/protein. The owner claimed they made him sick. He was also in 24 he light. I am a retired veterinary technician that loves to rescue. So I really wanted to give this guy a better life. I owned an iguana growing up but a bearded dragon is different. I’ve found so much help from tour videos. Our new guy is now on worms again. And so happy. Of course, greens are still about 70%. He’s also on a basking lamp and uvb during day then dark at night. We’ve only had him two weeks and he’s already looking better. Also, he’s so friendly. It’s almost like he wants to be handled. I’m just so thankful we got the opportunity to rescue him and offer him a better life.💚💚💚
I admire the fact that you did take the time to address a common issue on social media. It is wonderful to see you and your daughter and enjoy something like together. Thank you for that and thank you for all the information.
Hi, I usually never comment on videos, but I just wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate your videos. I just bought my daughter her first bearded dragon. She’s nine years old. She wanted a dog, but I thought this would be a good alternative since I’m not home enough to take care of a dog. Lol. She immediately fell in love. so now I’m on here every day trying to learn as much as I can about this animal as this is my first experience as well. so thank you all for your informative videos. I appreciate you very much. 😊🙏
My Son was deployed overseas with the Air Force and I inherited his six year old dragon. I just wanted to tell you that of all the research I have done, (a-lot) I appreciated your channel the most. We also live in Georgia. I have learned so much from ya’ll. It has made this journey a lot less scary. Now onto finding those worms - because I definitely have a cricket graveyard 😬 Thank you!
Omg some people are biotches in group. I got a mouthful for using newspaper as a substrate and for not removing food "approximately 2 hours" after eating.
Not only are there so many varying opinions, but many of the people in those groups are convinced that their way is the ONLY way to take care of them and are rude as hell if someone disagrees with them. 🙃
Right omg like a lot of us are new to this and are just trying to learn, we go for Facebook groups because they are everyday people caring for beardies, but they are so rude to newbies and fight over what methods are right.
😅Well! I’m a parent, and we got my daughter a 20 gallon tank, but because at the pet store told us it was ok meanwhile since is a baby Dragon, then to get a 40 gallon 🫠. We asked for months many times at the pet stores about more info before to get a dragon and every single one of the persons we asked told us the same, so 7 days ago we got the dragon, unfortunately just barely found out all this information after purchasing the tank and the baby dragon 😢well we can work with the situation and later on we’ll get a bigger tank
I hate that we live in a world that you had to give that speech at the end. It's sad. Thanks for the advice guys. But just watched your video about common mistakes. Speaking of which, I ordered 500 crickets for a baby beardie. They are too big, so now I have 500 pet crickets 😂😂
As a Bird Person with a Reptile interested preteen, I'm finding your channel invaluable! He will be allowed his first pet this next year, we've chosen to become Dragon owners. I'm feeling a bit more prepared binging your videos. The mealworm information is especially important and convenient for us.
Do you feed mealworms to your birds too? I am more of a bird person too, excited to know that live insect feeders for the upcoming beardie will be valuable for our neighbors' chickens 🐔
I seriously appreciate you guys so much! I joined a few bearded dragon care groups on Facebook just for tips and I kept getting either conflicting info, or people insisting that their way is the only way to keep a dragon healthy. After watching your videos I feel so much better about how I have my baby set up, and what I’ve been feeding, etc. Never stop educating, you guys are amazing! ❤️
The graphics and demonstrations REALLY CLARIFY your already-thorough explanations for a visual learner and aspiring beardie mom like me so thank you so much for including these details! You guys are wonderful! Rooting for your success through and through !
I have had my 2 bearded dragons for over a year and both living in sand without any issues, however im going to change over to dirt after hearing what you have to say on the subject. Thank you, cold blooded creations
I know this comment is a year old but there is absolutely nothing wrong with using (the correct type of) sand as a substrate, 50/50 play sand and top soil mix is what is generally recommended and is better for your dragon than tile or paper. A bearded dragon that is healthy and properly housed will never get impaction from loose substrate, the reason the impaction thing took off is because people were 1. keeping beardies on calci-sand which is a big nono, and 2. people weren't keeping their dragon properly. The only instances a beardy will eat their substrate is if they're lacking the correct nutrients, so they seek it from other things they can eat, or when they eat some alongside their insects, the latter of these issues are a non-issue, a healthy beardy will pass the substrate with no issues. The only time paper towel or tile is better than loose is if the dragon has a pre-existing health issue such as MBD, or if the dragon is less than 6 months old (still debatable)
My birds get plain paper towels for their substrate. As a blind bird keeper I find that very easy to pick up and also check. I like watching these types of videos.
Free roam house lizard for the last year here. The happiest and healthiest she's ever been now that she gets so much exercise. It improved her appetite and interactivity. Exercise is so overlooked.
We just bought our 11-year old daughter her first bearded dragon for her birthday... My wife is terrified of reptiles, and was strongly against it for years! She's warming up to "Nugget" slowly but surely, and we look forward to the day when she'll actually hold him... We've subscribed to your channel, thank you for all the helpful information, your videos are great! Keep 'em coming, you guys are great!
For my dragon I usually take it outside for a bit during the spring and Summer, then during fall and winter I use the UVB bulbs. (I live in a state that gets a lot of snow
Love the video! Keep up the awesome work. I went through and made some timestamp breakdowns for specific sections for people. @@ColdBloodCreations I believe if you put a similar setup like what I put there into the description of your videos it will provide division bookmarks along the play bar as well. Just need to start with a "0:00" at the beginning and the timestamps and labels after that should get it. :)
Can’t believe I’m only just finding your channel, you and your daughter are the most wholesome, kindest souls, thank you so so much for these really informative and non judgemental videos ❤️😭
I appreciate all of your knowledge I'm currently looking forward to becoming a beardie mom and I want to learn all that I can before the purchase thanks for sharing
I wish I was able to prepare myself. My friends all know how much I love beardies and reptiles in general, but I never did much research. I just received a call from a friend who worked at a pet store that a 6 month old bearded dragon was getting abandoned because the family didn't feel like feeding it as often as they needed too. So my friend brought the bearded dragon over to my place and said merry early christmas.
Looking into getting a baby beardie for the first time and have never had a reptile or anything like that ever. Been watching UA-cam videos all day about how to care for them correctly and appreciate your videos more than any I’ve seen. Thank you🙏🏽
I like y'all's knowledge i love seeing parents teaching their children knowledge about reptiles I wish my adult female beardie would move out of her 40 gallon tank I built her about a 100 gallon enclosure she hated it I put a male in it and he loves but she has an attitude all together
Hi! I just wanted to Thank, You so much for giving me the knowledge & resources I need for when my husband & I are ready to buy a Bearded Dragon!! We aren't quite ready yet, but we love these little guys & are just waiting until we have our forever home. You have a Beautiful Family & we can see how much You care for & love these beautiful animals!! You're doing an Awesome job! So again, Thank, You so much & God Bless!! 🙂
Love everything you’re saying. This is great information. I’ve been a dragon keeper for about 6 years now and the amount of bad information out there is scary. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Absolutely fantastic content guys. Your daughter is a credit to what you love and surely you are a proud father and an ambassador for the reptile community. Keep up the good informative work. I am thoroughly researching bearded dragons with the intention of buying one for my sons and I have found your content to be on point. They seem like amazing pets and I can’t wait to have one. We are going to an open day at a reptile event where we will get to know and meet the dragons along with other various reptiles. Thank you for your support and advice✌🏽❤️🇬🇧
Hey! I'm an 11 year old beardie mum and I wanted to thank you because I didn't know much when I got mine, and had absolutely no idea what to do.. I started watching your videos and they have helped me fix some things in his terrarium and he seems much happier now that I've fixed those things.
I love that you said not to be a hateful person. It’s so common. You and your daughter make a great team. So helpful. I’ve owned and bred a lot of snakes but I’ve only just recently decided to adopt a dragon. I thought I knew what to do but you opened my eyes to things I was not aware of. I got my beardy from a pet shop. I believe it’s a female so now I think I have a whole new list of concerns. I just know I love her.
Thank you for this video. I’m a brand new owner of two baby bearded dragons and I feel lost. It doesn’t help that a lot Information surrounding bearded dragons is so hypocritical and all over the place. I trust you, thank you.
Hi there new dragon mommy! I just want to say I’ve been watching your videos before we made the decision to get Rupert (our dragon). I want to thank y’all for being so helpful and informative! Y’all stay awesome and kick butt!
I live in Washington and am setting mine up I’m building my terrarium from scratch and not using any hides so this video is great because it lets me know I got all the stuff I need and that blocking 1 wall out with my mountain Is good
We recently purchased a dragon for my son (which will inevitably fall under our care) I am so glad I found this channel. Almost all the information we received from the pet store was wrong. You and your daughter have a great and informative dynamic and make the information entertaining.
Sometimes it is easy for people to criticize whether you know a lot or a little. THIS is a truly informational site and I have learned so much from you both. Thank you very much. I buy about 75 adult crickets at a time and he will eat almost all of that in a week. He gets really excited when he knows I am dropping in adult crickets. Baby crickets die off too fast and he prefers adults anyways. Goes wild chasing them all down .
Hiya. I just found your channel tonight have watched a few videos. I had 2 beardies before and loved them but had to rehome them when I moved. But I’m planning on getting another one soon and your channel is very helpful. Watching your videos I’m learning things I thought I knew about and wasn’t exactly right and also new things. Thank you guys appreciate the helpful tip and everything and keep up the amazing work.

Hello I have a question, I just recently got an adult bearded dragon and can’t get his temperature in the enclosure right for the basking spot. It’s always around 80 degrees and I’m using a 100 degree lamp. Is there any way to make his enclosure hotter I don’t want him to get sick. Sorry if u already posted a way I’ve been trying to go through all the videos
Hello, I am planning on getting a baby dragon, I'd rather not start with a baby because I dont want to accidentally mess up and create any problems for it later in life but it's hard to find adults where I am. I have been doing a lot of research and I was wondering if big woodchips would be an okay substrate for it? The woodchips seem way too big for a baby to accidentally ingest any so I was wondering if it would be okay for them. I am willing to switch it out for another, better substrate if it's not
I have SUCH respect for what you last said about social media, comments, etc! As a speaker on responsible use of technology, I want to commend your stance. Thanks for the info!
Your videos have been so helpful for our new lil beardie! I’m in Nevada and we’ve been keeping the water bowl in the enclosure and we’ve been sustaining around 20-30. Gotta love dry desert heat!
You guys are so helpful! I’m pet sitting a bearded dragon for a really close friend of mine and I’ve fallen in love with bearded dragons. I’ve been doing so much research to make sure he’s happy and healthy, you have been the first source of information that seems to work for him! Me and Rocky really appreciate all of you!
I am so happy I found you guys! already learning so much about my dragons. Thank you guys! looking forward to more bearded dragons vedios! keel them coming please 🙂
We just rescued a bearded dragon (approx. 8 years old) The couple who owned it gave it away for FREE because they were tired of the upkeep....I could never do that to any of our babies (we have aquatics, bunnies, cats, leopard gecko, a bird, and now a dragon....thank you so much for helping us know what is best for him...your family is very informative 😊
I do keep on a mix of sand and hard dirt makes daily cleaning Very simple since we only have two feeding is hands on and daily we use cups and they feed away from the sand directly froM the cup that we’re holding.
a week from today i’ll be a first time bearded dragon owner. naturally i watched all your videos from 3am. thank you for the information. setting up the cage today :)
Great video 👍🏻 My favorite part to my surprise was the end when u talked about social media/bullies etc...I couldn’t agree more, I would hate to think of new owners getting discouraged or afraid to ask questions, it only hurts the reptiles we all claim to love...great point👍🏻
Hey I’m just about to get a bearded dragon and I was having a hard time finding information so I somehow came across your UA-cam channel and I just wanted to say thanks so much for the info and I hope you such amazing luck with all your reptiles, bugs & your family and with all this info I will keep my dragon safe, calm and healthy thank you so much!
I am a new beardie owner. I’ve been watching your videos and I have done any research. Mine is a baby (5-6 weeks old) and honestly your videos have helped me on information I see that I question. You made it more clear and I trust your information because you state your opinion, and the world wide opinions. I love everything about your channel! I hope you have a great day and honestly thank you.
My husband and I just got some Chinese cave geckos. We did a lot of research before getting them. Made them a 55 gallon habitat and they are doing really well. I had originally wanted to get a bearded dragon. So now, we are starting our research on those and will hopefully have a habitat up and running by years end. Thank you for all the information that I have been getting from your channel. You both are very knowledgeable on the subject and it is making me more confident that I will be able to get a dragon of my own. Also, I LOVE your message at the end of the video! Kudos to both of you!
I literally just use textured tile in my bearded dragons tank and it’s so clutch! It helps file down their nails over time and super duper easy to clean up. As for sand; my ideology is that if there’s a chance it could harm my baby then I just simply won’t use it.
I just bought a terrarium, 180 liters and I started to think its too small because of your professional and positive mentality. In a month I will be ready to add my new pet- friend called a dumb funny name and I will take all your tips and make sure it'll be happy :) thank you for making this 'first-reptile-experience' a great experience for me and Rietje. Thank you again.
Your videos have been invaluable and you have such a relatable manner and a cute family! Was just given a juvenile beardie last weekend from a friend who's son was not taking care of it. We are animal lovers/rescuers, but this is our first reptile. I fell in love with our beardie from day 1 and have been on the hunt for good, realistic, and proven information/help. I want to do right by him/her and we've made many positive adjustments in this first week already. Huge thank you for putting this info out there. From - Your NC friends!
I start watching your videos about bearded dragons about 6 months ago because I was interested in getting my first bearded dragon. I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge with everyone. I did end up getting one and thanks you and your videos. I have a great healthy and energetic dragon that when I get home from work just wants come out and play. Great job with your videos, they are very informative and sometimes even comical. Awesome channel on here.
Your videos are always very informational and thorough!! Thanks for all the hard work!! My male beardie tries to dig and burrow in the substrate we have during the night when he’s getting ready for bed. It’s probably not a natural behavior , I think my beardie is just a weirdo :)
Thankyou , Sam ate his veggies as a baby , but he's 5 yrs old ans spoiled now . I make him go without food till he gets hungry enough to eat . It's usually one day , now I don't feel the guilt . I travel with him twice a month so he has two homes and is doing well . Thankyou for making sure he lives for as long as possible.🌞
Thank you for sharing your knowledge I find your videos very helpful. I have a 75 gal aquarium could I use it for my Beardie and how do you feel about tile for the flooring of the cage?
Tile is a great substrate, we actually use it ourselves. We didn't mention it in the video, for the sake of time. It is easy to clean, and safe to feed on.
So glad you confirmed newspaper! I like your presentation. It's easy to understand for first time owners and good for experienced owners without sounding patronizing. Everyone doesn't have that. Like you said, substrate is like turf wars amongst some owners 😂
So happy I came across your videos, they are extremely helpful!! I purchased my baby Bearded dragon yesterday and I purchased the Thrive 20 gallon tank. It came with the UVB bulb & a basking bulb, I purchased an additional red light 50w heat bulb. Is it ok to use the basking bulb that came in the kit and return the red light heat bulb? And how long should I keep these lights on during the day? Thank you so much in advance! 🙏🏽
Thank you and your daughter for the wonderful video i hope both of you continue to do well with your shared passion for reptiles. It's wholesome, very informative and that is just fun to watch!
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! We're getting a baby beardie after labor day so we've been setting up the cage. I have been so overwhelmed with the who lighting thing mainly and I cannot thank you enough for this video it was super informative.
Thank you for lresning all you can on these babies so you can teach us how to better care for them because what they give u on a sheet of paper at a pet store is not any good at all really !! I love that the internet has came this far I’ve had dragons for 20 years and my first girl I don’t even know how I keep her alive for 16 years with out this internet because I did so many things wrong back then !! Thank you guys so much
First off I appreciate how your willingness to help us give our animals the best treatment possible! You are always to the point and easy to understand what we should be doing. 2nd the fact that you make it a friendly atmosphere to where we can ask questions without feeling dumb for asking is awesone and especially when it comes to the well being of our animals the saying no question is a dumb question couldn't be any truer I believe! 3rd my fiance and I have been struggling to get our Dragon to eat veggies for weeks since we got him and last night we were trying to slip pieces in as he was eating his crickets and super worms to no avail and today this video notification pops up in my recommendations to save the day lol. But thanks to you two I'm going to try the fasting method and hope it works for us. THANK YOU BOTH for all of your knowledge and keep up the wonderful work! See you next video.
We just found a helpful trick this morning you should try and put in a video. We cut up pieces of squash and other veggies and put in his food bowl and he still wouldn't eat. I grabbed my temp gun with the red laser to check his tank temp but when the light moved across the food he must have thought it was a bug and began eating and chasing the light and eating what the light was on. Couldn't believe it.
I just got a bearded dragon and i was wondering about the night time lighting. How often should I turn off lights and how long do i leave them off and also do i just turnoff the uvb or just the heat bulb or both also I really enjoy all the information you have and the depth of details and explaining you give it has been really helpful
Sorry just to be sure. So at night I can turn both off and it will be ok? I've had mine since January and have been getting conflicting information and have had the heat bulb on at all times.
Your videos are very informative and also fun to watch. It is true that social media platforms can be pretty rough for people asking "newbie" questions. Nice to see you watch for that in the comments. We all have to start somewhere and should be able to have a place to ask the simple questions as well as the advanced ones. You and your daughter do an amazing job at giving out information clearly and still manage to appear to have fun doing it. Keep up the great work...because it is work to make videos with great content.
I just cut back on my baby’s worms and he thought his throat cut... lol 😆 he then started eating his greens and if he doesn’t finish them, then they are waiting for him in the morning. He finishes them and then he gets worms or crickets... he’s a stinker.
I recently bought a baby bearded dragon (about a month old) from a trusted breeder. I’m currently keeping him in a 30x12x12 (temporarily). He seems to be doing really well and has plenty of room to move around! I wouldn’t go any smaller than a 30 gallon for a baby. Eventually, I’ll move him in a 55 gallon once he gets bigger! But a 40 gallon for a baby is the best! Love your videos!
Also, I’m definitely gonna try the fasting method. My baby beardie is only eating little bits of veggies every 3-4 and only goes for protein every day. Thank you for the recommendation!
I just received my first Beardie and love it. This channel has great info and I appreciate it. I live in TN and am glad to know about the water bowl creating humidity issues, of which I will change immediately. My baby beardie loves his veggies of which I am so thankful for. Thanks again
I feel much more confident being a beardie owner after watching just 2 of ur videos...I have worried sometimes if im caring for him right but now i am confident I am doing a great job. The only thing I do use is sand, but I feed in a large bowl and clean up anything he kicks out. I have seen ppl use wood chips, what is ur ideas on that? And also what are your thoughts on live mice for feeding? Mine seems to really enjoy pinkies, and even some small jumpers but everyone views it different....some say no don't do it, some say it should fit between their eyes and some say they can handle up to 3x the width between their eyes? I know its a lot but I'm really excited to have stumbled across ur page.
Great video! My bearded dragon is 5 years old now and still hand feed him his vegetables. He's so stubborn and spoiled. I do agree with everything you said and I have done a lot of research. Watched many of your videos and watched this one a few times. Your daughter is so sweet and knowledgeable too. Keep up the great videos❤
I recently got a bearded dragon. I have been turning his lights off at like 11pm and turn them on at 10am. Most of the time we are still up at 11pm. Is it okay that I am turning his lights off although there is still movement around him?
Yes. It’s perfectly fine. For my beardie, his lights usually go off around 10:45 pm and then turn back on at 8:00 am, and even if he sees something, it doesn’t disturb his sleep at all. I usually go to bed later than the time his lights in his tank go off, and his tank is in my room. My lights are on still sometimes, and he’s fast asleep in his tank, not being disturbed a bit. Hopefully this kind of helps :)
I use calcium sand for substrate currently. I experimented with a few other types, but this seems to be making her happy. She likes to dig when she is going to bed and when she lays her unfertilized eggs. I did try carpet (bad idea), newspaper, and I also took advice from my sister and used tile on her prior tank. I also have a front opening 40 gallon terrarium for her so I can access her easily without starting her. I hand feed her mealworms in her room and have dried bearded dragon food from the pet store that doesn't have bugs in it in her room at all times. Loki is my 3rd reptile. I bought her from a pet store when she was the last in her group and I wanted her to not be left behind. You never know what pet stores do with small animals after they get bigger. She has been with me for a very tumultuous 6 years now. She is a member of my son and I's family, along with out cats. She even enjoys playing with the cats every now and then, and sometimes she sleeps in my room. I have a CAUTION: Free-Range Dragon sign for my door when she is out roaming around the apartment. She has used the bathroom on my carpet, but that is what carpet cleaner is for. I may be a little more relaxed about my zoo than most... I would like to comment on another of your videos that I am currently watching. Sorry, I just let UA-cam go on my television. This is on a Frequently Asked BEARDED DRAGON Questions from a year ago. You were discussing dealing with "aggressive" (aka UTTERLY TERRIFIED) bearded dragons. As I said in the last paragraph, Loki has been with me for 6 tumultuous years. These years included moving multiple times and 6 months of homelessness in which she had to live with my mother. She has been with me through depression and anxiety that make me a terrible pet parent while I am battling with myself. Strangely though, I have only had to get her use to me again once, but it was a long and emotional process. A lot of getting use to being stabbed by her spikes when she flattened herself and started hissing. A lot of patience and knowing that she thought I was going to eat her. You have to commit yourself to it and be willing and able to spend time with your dragon. Currently Loki is on my bed watching UA-cam with me.
You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for all the info! I am new to reptiles and watched a lot of your videos before bringing our baby dragon home 🥰 I feel a lot more confident with all of your wisdom!
Petco hasnt used sand for, like, at least a decade. Maybe petsmart? It's corporate policy to use the dumb carpet... which is no better but it was probably calcium powder on the crickets. 😉
Thank you! I am new at this and really enjoy my beardie. He brings me much joy. I can’t stand for bulling and I appreciate you for addressing that. I believe in your suggestions because I have experienced your answers and don’t need to look further for any beardie advice. I trust and thank you and your family. All of you. Thank you again. I have learned so much.
It should. Your dragon may be frightened by something moving past the glass, and acting in defense because of it. Covering the glass on three sides may help your dragon feel more secure.
You guys are absolutely awesome. I wish more communities consisted of straight up decent people that do still exist in the world. You guys deserve 1mil+ subscribers.

You don't come off rude at all. We really appreciate your insight and constructive argument! Thanks for watching. :)

I’m just so thankful we got the opportunity to rescue him and offer him a better life.💚💚💚
Also the UA-cam name is my 10 yr old daughters handle. 🤣
That's Awesome. Tell her Ronnie and Anna, and Aubrey said "Howdy"!
What kind of worms?
I admire the fact that you did take the time to address a common issue on social media. It is wonderful to see you and your daughter and enjoy something like together. Thank you for that and thank you for all the information.

We also live in Georgia. I have learned so much from ya’ll. It has made this journey a lot less scary. Now onto finding those worms - because I definitely have a cricket graveyard 😬 Thank you!
Happy to be of help!! Best of luck to you :)
I just really appreciate you guys. Thank you. Facebook groups are really rough, and it makes it hard to get good information.
You're so right. I have posted to ask for help and got rude comments and just talked down to
Omg some people are biotches in group.
I am now obsessed with this channel. Thank you for all the information.
Thank you for finally proving to my parents that my bearded dragon needs a bigger tank 😁
Same!
Thanks for putting out such good information. As a veterinarian I usually see animals for illnesses that could have been prevented by good husbandry.
I hate that we live in a world that you had to give that speech at the end. It's sad. Thanks for the advice guys. But just watched your video about common mistakes. Speaking of which, I ordered 500 crickets for a baby beardie. They are too big, so now I have 500 pet crickets 😂😂
We really appreciate that! Thank you, and good luck naming all those crickets...
Yeah, I have trouble keeping 51 crickets alive long enough for the couple weeks of feedings. If you keep 500 alive, let me know your secret. :)
that 500 will be gone in 3 days lol

Nice
Thank you so much for the encouragement. We're very glad to hear that!
Thank you,
cold blooded creations
A deep layer of a soil/sand/clay mix is best. Are your beardies housed together?
I love this channel because they go into detail and they really know their stuff 👍👍👍👍

Can’t believe I’m only just finding your channel, you and your daughter are the most wholesome, kindest souls, thank you so so much for these really informative and non judgemental videos ❤️😭
Thank you so much!!
I appreciate all of your knowledge I'm currently looking forward to becoming a beardie mom and I want to learn all that I can before the purchase thanks for sharing
I love when people do their research before getting a new pet. You are awesome!
I'm doing this too Tanisha
Me too getting ONE soon . Researching now ! My GRANDSON had ONE and we researched EVERYTHING spike lived 9 years . We miss him
I wish I was able to prepare myself.
Thank you🙏🏽
We appreciate that! Good luck with your future dragon. :)
muchas gracias por compartir tan util información, saludos desde Chile.
You are so welcome!
My daughter is ready for the dragon life. Thank you for this vid and she will be watching all of your stuff regarding beardies.
That's awesome! We're so glad to be of help. :)
Hey! I'm an 11 year old beardie mum and I wanted to thank you because I didn't know much when I got mine, and had absolutely no idea what to do.. I started watching your videos and they have helped me fix some things in his terrarium and he seems much happier now that I've fixed those things.
Glad I could help!
Thank u both for the tips on vegies as i have this problem with my beardie. U both are great teachers & easy to follow 💕💕
Thanks for the sharing👍 your video .. you & your Daughter Have Learned me so much for Caring For my Son's Bearded Dragon.. Stay Safe x
What an awesome family I love that they all work together and are passionate about the hobby!
Thank you so much!
I’m just watching all your videos on how to care for a dragon before I actually get one so I know what to look out for and care for correctly
I live in Washington and am setting mine up I’m building my terrarium from scratch and not using any hides so this video is great because it lets me know I got all the stuff I need and that blocking 1 wall out with my mountain Is good
Your channel tought me so many things that I think I'm finally ready to get a bearded dragon. Thank you for that quality content
Thank you.
We recently purchased a dragon for my son (which will inevitably fall under our care) I am so glad I found this channel. Almost all the information we received from the pet store was wrong. You and your daughter have a great and informative dynamic and make the information entertaining.
Thank you for these tips. There are so many people spreading false info. I started on FB groups and you are right. It was brutal and very hateful.
Great video! I'm new to the community and learning about all sorts of lizards.

Hello I have a question,
I just recently got an adult bearded dragon and can’t get his temperature in the enclosure right for the basking spot. It’s always around 80 degrees and I’m using a 100 degree lamp. Is there any way to make his enclosure hotter I don’t want him to get sick. Sorry if u already posted a way I’ve been trying to go through all the videos
We posted a quick video on this subject, I'll link it for you here: ua-cam.com/video/m777lvUGch0/v-deo.html
Hope this helps! :)
Jihad Karajah I’m having the same problem exactly
Thank you.
Thank you for stepping in for the dragon. Glad you were there to take over...
I’m getting a beardy in a few weeks and this was an EXTREMELY helpful video!!

As usual a pleasure to discover your videos. Really sad I’m so far away I can’t be a customer of yours. I’ll stick to the supporter role ;)
365daysofveronica where did you get your textured tile at?
I wanna know too
Yes where did you get it from
Nice! I use sand and my beardie is happy and healthy! I may switch it at some point, but he made it past babyhood fine with sand.
@@Surrenderthebooty00 Home Depot has some that looks like stones on top. It has a sandy feeling top on it. It is what I use in my tank.
Thank you so much, we're happy to hear that!!
Another great video; love your advice for bearded dragons !! Keep up the good work.
I love both your valuable information and your voice for positivity in social media.
What type of tile do you recommend?
You are so kind
Good job! Very informative. Keep it up! 😀😀😀😀😀
Thank you!
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! We're getting a baby beardie after labor day so we've been setting up the cage. I have been so overwhelmed with the who lighting thing mainly and I cannot thank you enough for this video it was super informative.
Thank you SO MUCH for the substrate comments, I greatly appreciate the advice. We’re soaking our dragon and throwing the sand in the trash. 👍🏻
Thank you guys so much
Our pleasure!
Cold blood creations God Bless you all for sharing knowledge to us beginners please keep up the good work..
Thank you sir.
It's great to have some reliable information from someone who knows what they're talking about!
Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to be of help to ya...
Wilson88 thank you!!
@@wilson8867 WOW !!! That is genius! Never thought of doing that, but I so see how that would work great!
I just got a bearded dragon and i was wondering about the night time lighting. How often should I turn off lights and how long do i leave them off and also do i just turnoff the uvb or just the heat bulb or both also I really enjoy all the information you have and the depth of details and explaining you give it has been really helpful
You should get a timer and have 12 hours on and 12 hours off :)
We appreciate that so much. Thanks for watching, more to come! :)
I just cut back on my baby’s worms and he thought his throat cut... lol 😆 he then started eating his greens and if he doesn’t finish them, then they are waiting for him in the morning. He finishes them and then he gets worms or crickets... he’s a stinker.
That's what my beardie did, she did NOT want her veggies, always wanted crickets and worms, so she only got them late in the day
Did you feed veggies to a baby dragon or just when they are older ?
Odalys Vasquez when babies they need more protein than veggies but still need both present
Odalys Vasquez i don’t remember the exact ratio
@@jennienorton7518 I think it is 80% protein 20% veggie... If i remember correctly
Awesoume video Greetings from stockholm 😀🇸🇪
I just received my first Beardie and love it. This channel has great info and I appreciate it. I live in TN and am glad to know about the water bowl creating humidity issues, of which I will change immediately. My baby beardie loves his veggies of which I am so thankful for. Thanks again
We do suggest keeping an eye on the humidity with or without a bowl. The tool that we both use and recommend is this:

Great video it was very informative thank you
thankyou for the info enjoyed the video
Wow! So glad that things are going well for you and your dragon.
Merry Christmas to ya both.
Also could you make a video about how to care for red eared sliders
We'll consider! Thanks for the request, and for checking out our channel! :)
You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for all the info! I am new to reptiles and watched a lot of your videos before bringing our baby dragon home 🥰 I feel a lot more confident with all of your wisdom!
Our pleasure!
I was at Petco yesterday and the bearded dragons' food was COATED in their sand substrate. It was awful!!
Great tips thanks for your dedication and hard work it help me a lot with our baby girl
I have a dragon that is about 2 years old could and he seems to "attack" the glass could covering 1 or 3 sides help this
It should. Your dragon may be frightened by something moving past the glass, and acting in defense because of it. Covering the glass on three sides may help your dragon feel more secure.
@@ColdBloodCreations Thanks
