After listening to multiple help videos I found the answer to my issue within 15 seconds on your video by jumping to the "Adjusting Transition Duration" marker!!!!
This tutorial alone will allow me to nicely assemble many random video clips of a few rocks band/friends I hang out with. Opened a new door, Thank You!
Hi Gary, thx a bunch for all your videos they are great. Can I ask you for some recommendations? I play drums in a few bands, I want to use a program called Ableton Live 11, to play backing tracks and also play video. The problem, that I'm having is I want to play 4 different types of videos while that particular song is playing. 3 videos with music transcription, drums, guitar and keys, plus I want to run a projector for the audience as a media wall. Can you tell me how I could do this in iMovie, I imagine it would be like doing a video wall, with 4 separate TV/ Monitors screens ?
Hahaahah, thanks a lot though its not conected to this video, but I'd love if you could kindly tell me, should I use a USB NVMe enclosure and install macOS Catalina into my late 2013 iMac 27inch? It's fusion drive is always an unknown burden on me. I can open the machine, parts arent available in my country. Or should I stay away from thinking of upgrades and buy a new iMac let's say a 2015 late, I can't afford a pricier one.
Hard for me to tell you what is best. It is a matter of throwing money at an old Mac or investing in a new(er) one. Up to you to decide which direction is best.
Thanks a lot. I have questions if you may. While I use safari or any software and using the full screen mode by clicking the green bottom, the show desktop shortcut( command-f3) is not working any more!! Is there any way to go directly to desktop from full screen mode??
Not sure what you mean. "Show Desktop" is usually F11, but you can set it to whatever you want. But if an app is in Full Screen mode there is no "Desktop" under it to show. You wouldn't use Show Desktop, but could instead use Mission Control shortcuts to switch back to the space with your Desktop. See ua-cam.com/video/uBYP5IdfoCo/v-deo.html
transitions have been working at the start and end of the movie for me, but sometimes skips over the transition in between. For the life of me I can't figure it out, just wondering if you have run into this before? I am using iMovie version 10.3.7
Are you exporting to test? Remember it can't do everything during the real-time preview in iMovie. Only when you export do you see what you really get.
States images? What do you mean by that? You can certainly add many images into iMovie and then have transitions in between them and then also add narration.
I'm using my Hp computer with iMovie and for some reason I'm unable to drag and drop any transitions to that space. I drag it down but it won't stay in place. Is there any way I can correct this, or it's that it doesn't work with other PC's that are not MAC ?
@@gabygaby7542 Sounds like you know how do it. I'm not aware of any change that would have caused it to stop. I assume you've tried restarts. Maybe just get a cheap Wi-Fi router to use at the end of the cable instead? They cost so little nowadays.
Have to disagree with you there. But it is what you are used to. If you use iMovie for iPhone all the time, and rarely on a Mac, it would seem easier, yes. But the Mac version of iMovie has a lot of options still missing from the iPhone version.

Thank you for teaching me how to add transitions all at once by selecting and doing command "T" that is the best!!!! Thanks.
Thank you for both the video and the Turkish language in the translation. Love from Istanbul.
One of the best ever explanation of how to use transitions❤
I always learn something from your videos even, as in this case, where I have used transitions for some time. Thanks

You Da Man
Can these transitions be applied on Trailer?
Do you mean using iMovie's special trailer templates? Try it and see. You can always convert the trailer to a normal iMovie project and then do it.
I would like to see a video about states images. Transitions cannot be applied between images with a voice narration.
States images? What do you mean by that? You can certainly add many images into iMovie and then have transitions in between them and then also add narration.
Thanks bunches

iMovie is for Mac only. So I'm not sure what it is you are using.
Please, how to sharing the internet from M1 to iPhone?
Mac TO iPhone? Doing that depends on a lot of factors like where you are getting your Internet on the Mac in the first place. It can get complex.
@@macmost From Mac 💻 M1 to IPhone 📲… The Mac is connected by cable… Before it worked, but after the last update it doesn’t work…

hey I have a question
It is so much easier using iMovie on iPhone than it is on a MacBook

@@macmost yes it is probably just that I am used to using it on iPhone.
Drag and drop does not work ... icon circle and slash ...
That would suggest that what you are dragging can't be dropped at that location. Think about the object and the destination carefully.
None of these options work for me. I have Version 10.2.1.
None of these work at all? What happens when you try?
it's not working brother
What, specifically, isn't working?
