It's always so simple! I spent far too long searching for something that actually read 'VoiceOver' on my Mac, because that is how it's displayed on my phone - I wish they would make the app the same for all devices!!

I know this video is 4 years old but still great info. I wanted to do a voice over of a couple of still pictures. I just did the trick he mentions about making a recording in voice memo and airdropping to my laptop. It went straight into i music and a named it, drug it to the desktop and then drug into the movie I was making. Perfect audio and done in about 5 minutes.

Thank you for making this video. I've been getting the "hissing" sound on all my voiceover videos. I thought my microphone wasn't good enough and had to get a new one but after changing the input settings on my Mac like you suggested everything seemed to be perfect
Really appreciate these step by step tutorials that you, personally, do. If I am using an external mic for streaming (not recording) Skype and Zoom video meetings on iPad Pro, would I need to look for multiple volume settings and set them similarly to what you did for iMovie?
When you are talking, you mic moving showing it talking. but in my mac input setting. the input volume is not moving the input level .what is wrong with my setting?
Another great Video! I've been using imovie for about a month and have been recording from my phone to do voice overs. This Vid has come out just in time! Awesome tip! I’ve been editing my videos on my iPad Pro iMovie with the built in 🎤 and have noticed a little muffled in my recording. I will start using my iPhone to record voice over 👍🏼
Excellent video!! Could you please also explain how to connect the mic to the monitor? Or does it have to be connected to the MacBook? Is the mic you are using a usb-c ?
