Today is truly an exciting day! Not only are we back on this channel after a loom hiatus, we're also on our BRAND NEW SET!!!!! Hope you guys stick with its while we take a few episodes to dial in the lighting and get situated and after three months we plan on being back here once a week with bottle tastings, reviews and hopefully once our crazy restrictions lift, some cool expanded content. So I don't drink any alcohol at all but I do a lot of stage acting, and often times we do scenes that involve things like cocktail parties or bar scenes. We substitute real liquor with nonalcoholic beverages but we need to make it look legit, and this video helped me pick out some excellent glasses that look the part on camera.
I love the martini glass. So simple and perfect, just as i like it. No weird designs or anything

Just a suggestion....take glass out and let sit on table instead of pulling them out moving them around then immediately putting back in box.

My problem with the Ikea glassware is that almost every single one of them is just *gargantual*. Like most cocktails would be 90, 105 or 120 ml and Ikea sells these enormous 250, 270, 300, 350 ml glasses. lol I have the Frasera you've shown on the video which is a great rocks glass, cocktails look pretty in it. They also sell something like the Framträda but with cubes carved onto the outside, which is great of like a Jungle Bird or some smaller crushed ice cocktails.

Btw it's WeiZen not Weisen, you have to press the tip of your tongue against your front teeth, it has to sound hard.

I was wondering what glasses you were using for coupe cocktails (by that, I mean the same glasses from the "My 4 favorite gin cocktails" video for example) ?
If I check the specs, most of the cocktails you make in those glasses are around 3 oz (90 ml).
But the ones I find on the internet and that looks like yours, labelled as "champagne coupe" are "200 ml" or around 7 oz, and I feel like this would look half empty if I were buying those for my cocktails.
Is it the same or do you have a different capacity ?

Sorry for the late comment, but I just found this video.
I'm having trouble finding the OMTÄNKSAM glasses. They're not showing up on the Ikea website.
However, there are a lot of other, apparently unrelated, products with the same name. Some further research revealed that the OMTÄNKSAM line was designed for people with disabilities and includes the glassware, various pieces of furniture and even jar grippers. Thus, the translation of the name as "thoughtful" makes a lot of sense.
All well and good, but I still have to track down some of those glasses!

The thing i look for in a glass more than anything is that they are very clear. Some cheap glasses just don't seem clean or clear.

Ikea is one of my fav place to shop. Not necessarily quality. But trendy enough
Good video. I have been using the tall glass for Collins and Tiki and a short rocks glass for a while. I will have to go back and look at some of the other glasses. My only complaint about buying glassware is that most glasses are too big for cocktails. To get the "right" size, you have to get them from a restaurant supply store.

Mix the lime juice and simple syrup and freeze into cubes. Use that in the recipe. Then as it melts it won't water down the drink.

Nah it has enough alcohol to keep it relatively stable unrefrigerated. The flavor will fade over time but your nose and taste can tell you when that happens :)
The real question is when did you get that Buzz Light-year.

LoL 😂 it’ not transparent although I can see that it looks that way because the color of the sign and the lighting is almost the same. It’s an old Cole’s drink menu from like 2015 with seasonal specials on it
I bought some ikea glasses a month ago and one of my coupes cracked while I was scrubbing it ;_;
Some of them are thin so be careful when washing. That goes for all glassware though.
