I did whaat did and the end I couldn’t get the sending unit on my 1980 corvette put back together and I have to have it tow to be repair, fuel line leaking under pressure was told that they w have to drop the gas tank to replace the unit Any idea’s
Great video and job! Any chance of replacing those old rubber gas lines with autozone rubber gas lines while doing this? Or does the tank have to be lowered?
Hi there. Do you have any idea of where those 2 rubber hoses on the right go? I know they meet the metal lines on the frame but can you point me to where on the frame
@DoctorOhm thanks. Yea I know, I was asking where the rubber hose from tank meets the metal lines from the frame. I had to remove the bumper to see and replace, but the rubber pieces are only a few inches long so the metal lines come up on top of the tank. On to replacing the fuel pump now
Really enjoyed this. Your video and explanations were excellent! Thank you.
Awesome. So glad this is here.
Best video I've seen on this project yet 👍
Came out easy put my new pump and sending unit in and popped it back in

I've heard you can do that fairly easily but I didn't have time to try it.
That is my question also. It's not easy. There's no space without dropping the tank

One hose goes to the fuel pump on the motor, the other goes to the charcoal canister under the brake master cyl. It's pollution control.

Perfect. Thank you.
I’ll be doing mine soon.
