I totally agree with you about monochromatic stitching! I find it so relaxing! I like changing colors like in Red Deer Sampler...blocks of color and a terrific chart. But recently I put a Leisure Arts Santa in time out 😅 . So fidely it wasn't enjoyable anymore. To each her own. That's what makes this community so great...diversity!

Loving Santa and his reindeers, Jennifer from the two tall stitchers is stitching gorgeous reindeers individually, they are so cute, I love the way are so confident in change floss colours, love the full coverage pieces, Chubby fox is just so cute, I think I seen Amanda from Alba stitcher stitch Chubby bird and finish in a round.

I'm doing the USA flag. I love that fox. Foxes are my favorite animals. I already have my pumpkin project picked out for October. It'll be a gift for my daughters birthday which is on Halloween. I too am already planning for August. 😅 I'm going to start my Link project and the scrabble board from Vivsters in August. This year is a year of starts. Next year might be a year of wips. Maybe... I've officially decided that the reason I love your channel so much is because of your beautiful smile. I know from experience how much back and hip pain can affect you and, for me, it is sometimes difficult to find the joy through the pain. Seeing your smile helps me to smile. Even if only for a short time. 😃

@stitchy Sally has stitched Yellow submarine and long and winding road and possibly the other two in the series, YS look awesome I must say, I love the penguin fabric, ( I think I say that every time you show it) and I love the Quaker flag but way too much stitching in them for me, we are lucky enough to see the odd fox in the field behind us, I think they are magnificent creatures.
I used to think we were so much alike…but heat???? Nope, I need cool. I can always add layers for warmth, NOBODY wants me to remove but so many layers!!😂😂😂

I’m stitching a fox right now on an ornament. We had a hurricane this week and lost our power for a few days. I had to stitch by the window when the sun wasn’t beating in.
Lighthouse is on my wishlist too! Hope to start in august. The only other house series I have is Santa’s house. Love the fox.

I love the Cottage Garden Samplings lighthouse too! It is the first one in the series I am getting. the barn and castle were ok but the rest I will pass on. I’m still working on a year in the woods series. I fell in love with the series as soon as I saw the fox. It has an attitude LOL. Eight done and the beaver is already in the q snap.
I agree with you about finding chairs that fit is difficult when you are shorter. I’m 5’3” and am sitting in a desk chair that is way too big for me. My feet dangle in the air when I sit on most couches. I’m sure it looks funny but that is the life when you are short 😉
I am a big time knitter and have been for many years. I went back to cross stitch because I fell last summer and broke and damaged fingers and joints in my left hand which made knitting painful and/or impossible. I chose to participate in 3 knitting events in July instead of stitching. 2 are sock knitting “contests” to knit a pair of socks in 2 weeks and one is a shawl - knit a mystery shawl with a new clue every week or so. I am not quite sure what I will do for the Olympics. Probably just watch and enjoy them! 😊
I have all of the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour patterns but none of the fabric or floss. We shall see what I can come up with in the next few weeks ….

Spring Quaker is beautiful. Love your fabric selection. DMC 816 is a pretty substitute in your Quaker Flag. That Cheshire cat is delightful on the Alice tree. The Opal Blue Ice fabric is another pretty pick. Love your thread pick for Arabesque, also! I'll be interested to see what fabric you'll pick for Yellow Submarine! Happiness is a chubby fox!

Love the fox! Hope you feel better soon. Chronic pain is no fun. Many surgeries on my neck and many years of pain. I just put “notify me” for the lighthouse on 123 stitch too. Would love to start it in August!
So sorry to hear that you're hurting...hopefully this new week will bring a bit of relief. If you are like me, the heat is ok, but the humidity and air quality are the problem. Love my monochromatic stitches and am currently working on Gathering Honey in a semi-subtle variegated gold brown. Your Dragon is awesome, I'm fond of designs that have movement in them, and he has a dramatic elegance about him. The fox is a real cutie.

I always enjoy your flosstubes, you seem so genuine and I love seeing what you’re working on. I suffer from chronic pain and fatigue (fibromyalgia) and have creaky, sore hips and back, so I have complete empathy withy you and those bad pain days. I don’t think the places I sit help (one sofa has killed my coccyx!) but we don’t have space for a new chair so I think we need to rethink our furniture. Will be interested in hearing if your new chair helps you. Have a good week!

Hi Laura, Sorry you are struggling a bit, I hear you I’m 5” and I used to do home shopping in a supermarket, trying to reach things on the shelves was a nightmare, glad the rain has came and hopefully that’s means cooler temperatures for you, Chubby fox is adorable.

Earlier this week Barefoot Needlearts in Myrtle Beach was taking pre-orders for the Lighthouse - yes, my name is on the list as I LOVE lighthouses!!! Might consider that option. Thank you for mentioning Stitches Sew Beautiful's Beatles "tribute" (or whatever she calls it). I was in Liverpool on June 18th doing a Beatle's themed excursion and wandering around and missed that information. Will be checking it out shortly!
I am sorry you haven’t been well Laura I hope it improves soon. I also have trouble with my back and I hate when it flares up. Love the Chubby Fox and your Flag. I have my UK flag ready to start but I also had to buy Ireland and Scotland since I used to live there and miss it. Btw I have been rewatching your Scrapbooking videos and will be getting myself some albums to put all of my stitches in, that are currently sitting in a drawer.

Sorry to hear you were in pain. It's so draining. I have the Irish flag to start sometime. At the moment I'm using 324 by Works by ABC as distraction therapy, one colour at a time with minimal counting is perfect at the moment. I love watching the progress on all your projects. I also love monochromatic stitching. I have the Jan Hicks piece is my queue of pieces waiting to start. I'm planning on using a Roxy Floss colour, I have to make sure I have enough thread before I start.

You are one of the few flosstubes that I get to watch every week. Just love watching you. Thank you, and sorry you have been suffering this week. I had back surgery when I was 54. I am now 59, and I have shrunk an inch. I’m now 4’11” so I know what you mean about trying to find chairs. I have small stepstools. I take everywhere for my feet to rest. Truly helps. I need to email you the links to all of mine. One is small enough that it fits in my purse. I will be at the Midsummer stitch this weekend too. Hope I get to see you. I’m also working on spring Quaker. I started in the center. That’s finished and now I’m doing the outside. Love yours and the green! And the chubby fox is so cute! 🥰

That fox is hopefully not the one who murdered 14 of our chickens this past week....We sell our eggs and that will seriously diminish our stock....need to get some more babies and then they won't start producing for 18 to 20 weeks. We are so hot and humid here in southwest Missouri, too. Ah, summer in the Ozarks!

I'm so sorry that you have had pain this past week 😢 glad to see you back and I always love seeing what you are stitching! That wall space (correct me if I'm wrong) is the perfect size for Black Vintage Sampler! I didn't realize how little that Christmas Eve piece is, even though it's alot of full coverage bits. Spring Quaker looks AMAZING! The greens are definitely popping off that pink. For Delphinium words, did you try DMC 52 variegated? I too am a "strong stitcher," I'm always pulling my tension so tight. Good Tidings is so cute, I've never seen that pattern before. I've seen people hand sew small pillows similar to biscornus, so that may be something to look into. Those blues in The Uniqueness of Others are stunning, especially on that fabric! A blue fabric you may want to try for Yellow Submarine is Tangled Up In Blue from StitchManDarcy on Etsy. It's what I'm using for Deadly Aquarium and I love it! I have to look into Sweet Violet, some of those full coverage pieces you bought are lovely. I love the chubby fox, but all the chubby animals from Jeannette Douglas are adorable 😊 Thanks for another great video this week!

Spring Quaker and Quaker Flag is so beautiful and my question is on your The Uniqueness of Others you are using Hello Beautiful by Mystic Fabrics. Have been watching your old videos, from the beginning (I am to #142) but decided I have to watch current AND old at the same time! Have to ask, what is the white storage system on your right? Obviously enjoying your videos, and love the chubby fox!
Those are Iris drawers that hold all my dmc skeins. I got a deal and bought enough so that each dmc number has its own drawer.

Laura could I ask before I potentially buy the By the sea pattern(violet stitch co) is it quite blocky or very heavy confetti or something in between? I'm like you and don't like heavy confetti. Thank you 🤗
I gave it a thorough look through and I would say it is a combo of block stitching Ana confetti. The sky and larger buildings are blockier with a little stray confetti. The areas where the houses are closer together, there is definitely more confetti.
