When I was a teenager, I had a friend who’s dad who was a bricklayer. I worked with them for a couple of weeks for some extra weed money. This is every bit of how those 2 weeks went for me.
The Postman is already a movie though. 1997, Kevin Costner, post apocalyptic movie about a nomad who lies about being from a restarted US government and ends up kinda becoming a postman.
While it looks good I'd say watch Cliffhanger and Die Hard 2 THEN this trailer and see if there aren't similarities. Don't get me wrong, I love action flicks and Aaron Eckhart is awesome, but just because he uses a trowel doesn't mean this is the dawn of a new age of action films. I have high hopes, but not for originality.
I feel bad for renny harlin that the only movies he can put in promotions is die hard 2 and cliffhanger. I would actually defend other films he’s made. But I do miss when he was a full Hollywood big budget director instead of vod
He once attended a support group for people who lost their children to help him prepare for a role. He pretended to have lose a child of his own (at the time, he is childless. Not sure now). I mean, it's method acting, sure. But that's just dickish to me. Anyways, I lost interest in following his movies after I read this article.
The Bricklayer, the Beekeeper, the Accountant, soon there will be 'The Plumber' and 'The Electrician' and they'll finally get their Avengers team up...."The Tradesmen"

Yes exactly. They are inferring a Die Hard sort of premise here, it's tiptoe into established danger almost...the same director too 😅🙄 they seem like a good match but no way can Eckhart replace Bruce Willis IF they are aiming for similar audience...
I think it's cool that action stars are getting older...Aaron Eckhart is 55...a bit past typical retirement age for an operator...but not completely unbelievable I suppose. Liam Neeson was the real catalyst for a wave of silverback tough guys of course...Taken (#1) came out when he was 56 and he is still in those roles now in his early 70s...impressive really.
Don't think there is a ceiling for retirement for CIA operator, they are ex-Tier 1, so usually around mid-40 when they come out of say SOFD-D or Devgru and they went into "Private" work for the CIA, otherwise in theatre op, the CIA usually just use existing Tier 1 asset
Every time an actor reaches his "Taken" era, I feel sad and excited at the same time. These types of movies are my generation's equivalent of B-movie blockbuster classics like Commando and Rambo, which my father enjoyed very much.
I'd rather watch something like this for pure entertainment rather than the woke nonsense Disney Marvel and Star Wars gives you. At least these movies aren't afraid of a straight White man being the lead role.
