As a guitar shop owner, I find selling a guitar to someone when you've paired them with just the instrument they want, one that brings out something new from them, or allows them to say something they've been struggling to say with another instrument, when they fall in love with a guitar, that's a huge high for me. Then witnessing them make music with that instrument keeps that feeling going.
@ Oh, just some guy from Liverpool, England. George, along with some other guys named John, Paul, and Ringo had a few good songs back in the 60’s. I believe they called themselves “The Beatles!”
Mark has always been such a great guy. I went to Norms when I was 15, *during the hayday of Guitar of the day*. I really wanted to see all the cool vintage instruments. When I got to the store all the employees including the owner Norm were In horrible moods. The only one that was cool was Mark; He was the only one that gave me the time of day. He was very nice and answered every question I had to ask him. I never went back to Norms because honestly, if you don't have at-least Two Grand In your pocket ready to shove it In Norms face, or unless you're famous to some extent, 9/10 they do not care at all if you visit; but I never forgot Mark or His genuine Kindness. I'm so glad Mark chose to leave that toxic work environment, In exchange for a waaayyy better Gig with Gibson.
I wish Norm would list ALL of his nice archtops he has for sale on his website. I see really nice ones on the floor there that aren't listed on his site.

Come on Gibson. Why doesn't Mark do a guitar of the Month for Gibson? It's not like you don't have enough models. I mean check out Trogly. He's been reviewing the Les Paul for the last ten years......
Hey, Mark, no one needs to tell you what a treasure Norm is. We're all lucky he's gotten healthy again and is still doing his thing. Norm's isn't a guitar store so much as a good man's life's work. (and where I met you...). If I could, I'd have just about every guitar in blonde. Because they're gorgeous and as a tip of the cap to Norm.
How many of those 300,000 missing kids do you have in that vault ? You were rewarded handsomely for your recent switch right ? Is that why your voice shakes and you walk funny since you left Norman's ?
Nah, American guitars are also one of the best investments. My friend doesn't know a stroke of how to play, but he buys 10k Gibsons and sells them years later for twice as much.
If you'vee benn to the store lately, you know that they won't treat you any good, that is, if they let you in. So unless you're famous, don't bother giving these elitists your money.

True but sometimes the guitar player gets a divorce from his guitar and finds a different one
FOR THOSE WONDERING Norm's Rare Guitars has been safe from the LA fires. :)
They should relocate to the mid west
Oh man could you imagine?? 😬😬😬
This is really cool. Guitars I will never be able to afford, but I really enjoy looking at them! National treasures for sure. Thanks for sharing.
Loved Mark doing guitar of the Day
I've known about Norm since Spinäl Tap, and have subscribed to his channel since forever! Norm and his store is a music legend
When did you see the movie?
We love you Norm and your incredible store! Mark, great seeing you there!
Norm and Mark. Legends
Norm’s George Harrison story reminds me that every collector has a “one that got away” story!
Great interview, thanks for sharing!

@ George’s friends and family band! I would’ve loved to have seen Keef and Ronnie included in the TW sessions, just because!
Fantastic interview...Norman Harris is a true legend !
Oh baby that 1960 Gibson Country & Western Acoustic is a beauty ! Thanks Norm & Mark !

That single pickup ES-330T is incredible! Gibson should reissue single pickup ES-225s and ES-330Ts! Best guitars!

Archtops front and center when they do the sit down...right where they should be.
When Mark left I lost interest. He was the whole show.
Lemmo can play great but I miss Marks knowledge and grumpiness!

Homecoming week
It’s crazy that Harrison would have to trade anything for a new guitar. Seems like most guitars would be in his price range.
You can trust Norm Harris.
Kudos to Norn trolling Mark by showing him a Fender first.
If there were only 6 of them made, Norm has 9 of them, lol 😂
First thing Norm takes out: A Fender Bass 🤣🤣🤣
Mark was my daily guitar guru at norms!! But you know Lemmo is a great person to take his place!! Cmon lotto!! And I’d have a norm’s guitar 🎸 😂
Am I the only one nervous when they open the guitars on top of other cases? 😅
Norm is the best!
The first thing Norman showed Mark is a Fender, but Mark wasn’t offended by the Fender. That shows you character.
