My daughter goes to bed at 8 pm. She is 7. My son usually at midnight, if it is not school night, he is 15. My son has allowance, also works part time because he wants to. My daughter has no allowance.
They are disciplined but never hurt. They do the best they can at school, which I am proud of. But I do not pay them to do great at school. Emotions are important in my house, we do not hide them. It is okay to be angry, but do not hurt anyone or destroy things, as long as they tell me why they arw angry, then we find solutions after they let it out. Same with being sad.
But, sometimes tough love is the best discipline as well. Moderation is key.
I was raised by a narcissistic mother, I refuse to use rewards or guilt tripping in my home. But we cuddle, show love and only strict when we have to.

Hello,Anyways, here is a brownie recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
2. Melt 1 cup butter, mix with 2 cups sugar.
3. Add 4 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla; mix well.
4. Sift in 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup cocoa, and 1/4 tsp salt; stir.
5. Optional: add 1 cup nuts or chocolate chips.
6. Pour into the pan, bake for 25-30 mins.
7. Cool completely, cut into squares, and enjoy your brownies!

Here's a better one (:
250g Dark Chocolate (70%ish cocoa)
250g Unsalted Butter
300g Caster Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
4 Large Eggs, beaten
60g Chestnut Flour
60g Cocoa Powder
Handful of sour cherries
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water
Beat the butter and sugar until it is pale and soft
Add the beaten egg little by little to the butter and sugar (don’t worry if it curdles) beating well between additions.
When the chocolate is melted remove from the heat and mix into the butter and egg mixture.
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Fold with a metal spoon, and then fold in the cherries
When well combined put into a lined brownie tin or baking dish around 20cm square or similar.
Cook for 30 minutes and then test by poking a skewer into the middle of the brownies. If it comes out covered in liquid mixture give them another two or three minutes, but keep checking. When the skewer has some mixture on it but emerges relatively clean they’re done.
Leave to cool before you attempt to cut them.
Have one, or two, with a big mug of tea.
I go to sleep at 1 am on a school night maybe even stay up longer sometimes 😂

But if they don’t listen they know there electronics are taken away till they behave and get good grades. And the good grades and behaving will count toward their birthday and gifts that they will get in special holidays. That’s how I manage.

18-30> I can help pay for college.

It's the way your parents bring you up to make you a good worker, and also someone who they know can relax and have fun with your friends. But you usually prioritize friends or games over family, you don't want to do the work. If your parents are toxic then ok, but if they're genuinely asking you to clean your plate, one less for them, load your washing, one less thing to do for them, sweep the house mop the floors vacuum just do these things every once in a while. Your parents jobs may be very difficult and by doing these things SOMETIMES, not everyday but maybe two of these things every week, will help your parents out. You should do those yhinge

I think rewarding children for good grades is a good thing, personally, I would've been much more motivated to study back in school if I would get a reward for it, and I don't think you should expect good grades because it will make your children fear getting bad grades because they don't want to disappoint their parents

I saw getting an A as a reward itself. Lower grades lower the chances of getting into the university I want. Yes I’ll get in trouble if my grades drop but I mostly do it for myself

You see not all people have enough money to gift something even the smallest like icecream. We cant reward them like more screen time etc. So what in your opinion is the reward that should be given

If you’re eating by yourself then it’s obviously ok but if you are having a meal with your family it’s best for everyone to be off their phone and interact like a normally functioning family in order to foster greater relationships among family members
