    Hi, I just bake this cake. Full with fragrance of pandan flavour. I find it a slightly salty. Added 1/4 tsp salt. Maybe I'll reduce it if I bake it again. Butter I reduce to 230g. Sugar I increased (75% vs flour). My cake top had a slight crack. The cake tin slightly smaller than yours, rectangular. Baked at 160°C for 1.5 hrs. Should bake it 5-10 mins more. Bottom part 0.5cm of gluey streaks. Not sure if it's slightly underbaked. Overall I love your recipe. Great Baker! Thank you for sharing your recipe..

      Hi, thank you for watching and trying this recipe. My family members love this cake too. I used Kenwood Chef Mixer. But, I just changed to Kitchenaid recently. Kenwood is more durable but a bit loud. I love Kitchenaid too.

    30 gram pandan juice is how many Pandan leave. ml water how many. Why use brown sugar. Please reply me ok

      This pandan juice is very concentrated. I used only after the 4th day.
      I used about 20 leaves to yield 50g/ml of very concentrated pandan juice,
      I just tried to avoid using white sugar. Please use white sugar if you prefer white sugar.

    Egg white can I put lemon juice if dont have tar tar cream. But baking time is shorted . Preheat oven celcius And minute how many . Please reply me

      Hi, thanks for watching. You can use lemon juice. I tried with white vinegar before and the egg white not so stable. However, some people omit cream of tartar.
      Bake at preheated at 180C oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

      Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, you can use this recipe to bake cupcake. Bake at 180C (top and bottom heat) for around 20 minutes. You can refer to my another Pandan Butter Cupcake recipe here:

    Hi. Looks delicious. But I only hv a 6 inch round tin. Can I reduce all yr ingredients in half ?

      Hi, thanks for watching. May be, try to reduce the recipe to 3 eggs instead, which is about 0.6 quantity of the amount of this recipe. I have not tried baked on 6 inches round pan. I hope it will work.

    Even though I bake at 150 degree 50 minutes but still crack at the top, any advice, anyone?

      Hi, thanks for trying. Please place your cake at bottom rack. Did you use themometer to check? Try not to over beat the meringue too. When just reach firm peak will do. Soft peak is fine too.

    Can i use the bottled pandan paste? How many teaspoon should I add? I tried using pandan leaves to make pandan paste but my cake was either dense or wet. Please advise. Thank you

      Hi, thanks for watching. To be honest, I never used bottled pandan paste in my bakings. So, I am not sure how much to use. You may want to refer to the instruction on the label? Or add a little at a time until you get the colour and aroma you like? Your cake dense could the way you beat your butter. The butter must be in room temperature and whisk at low medium speed at longer time instead of high speed at short time.

    Tried last week. Cake rose nicely but sagged 5 minutes after removed from oven. Can advise why is that?

      Hi, thanks for trying. It could be your oven is too hot and the cake rose fast but inside is not fully set yet? Maybe try not to remove from the oven immediately. Let it cool inside the oven after swift off with the door slightly open.

    Can i reduce butter to 230gm n flour to 200gm which is same as mrs ng receipe. But she use self rising flour while yours is plain/cake flour. If possible to reduce, should which flour? Thanks

      Hi, Thank you for watching. Why don't you follow Mrs Ng Butter Cake recipe and just replace half of the milk with pandan juice. I do not know how it will turn out if you modify this recipe. By the way, self rising flour is the mixture of plain/cake flour with baking powder. If you would like to use self raising flour then please omit baking powder. Thanks:)
