Kevin, NO ONE's hoyas look like yours! You have the hoya magic touch. And I like the nova ghost. Although I secretly suspect it's just silver spray paint !!
It's 4:55 in the afternoon here in the Philippines and it's my second time watching your video I am reminiscing my son while watching you because I feel happy and it ease my loneliness and sadness deep in my heart . I miss my son Seigi very much . His in heaven now in God's hands . Watching you talking feel my heart happiness . Your collection are very beautiful and amazing . The one who shared me your videos and links was also a collector of Hoja . I'm thanking him for sharing me your videos because he was also shock upon watching you who really looks like my son whom I derly love , I will continue watching your videos and share this to all my former colleagues and Seigis friends . My Seigi is a half Japanese and Filipino as well. Wish you good health always and more happiness ahead . God bless you always ...
Your plants are insane. So beautiful. I believe they are a reflection of your passion and the amount of care they receive from you. I have a small collection of 7 varieties, Hoyas are not so readily available in my country (Kenya). I have seen a few sellers with Pubicalyx but it looks like the craze has not really caught on. I’m totally in love with Hoya and I hope to one day have a big collection like yours. You inspire me.
My country makes it very difficult to import plants. The seller I got the Hoyas from imports from Holland, but he says he can no longer do it because of punitive tax laws and corruption.
I love seeing all of your Hoyas! I always feel like mine grow fast for me until I see how fast yours grow!! ha ha ha! You are the master at plant growing sir! I love it so much! 🤍 My favs were..... Poly variegated, New Guinea Ghost, Nova Ghost, & Tequila Sunrise! I am in love with my Tequila Sunrise right now too so when you showed your new leaves, I was like yes! I was taking new pics of mine last night! lol! I can't wait for part 2!!! Is it Friday yet? 💯
When I first got into plants, I thought I didn't like hoya. But I saw one in person and then it was all over lol. I'm obsessed with them now! I love your college too, they all look so beautiful and happy
Just beautiful! I have all my Hoya plants hanging, I have them in macrame hangers, so I let some of the plant clime and most of the plant hang down, I must tell you that I have really gotten into Hoya’s because of your videos, I’m not really into many of the others, but I still love them💚😊
Ohmygosh Kevin! STUNNING collection! My outer varigated bella has blooms and I'm thrilled! I've also just ordered hoya spartioides from CSN and will pick it up at the SOOS 👏👏👏👏💚🌿 That could be a fun/expensive sunday 😉
Yaay! Perfect video for me today, cause I just bought some new Hoyas literally 1 hour ago and im so excited! 😁 The ones I bought are: Hoya crassipetiolata 'Splash' Hoya incrassata 'Albo Variegata' Hoya sp. 'Khao Yai SQR 3126' Hoya vitellinoides Hoya sp. 'Ko Chang Island' Hoya sp. (Borneo, Gunung Gading) Hoya sp. 'Aceh' Hoya sp. 'Golden Eye' And ill be getting them at the end of February, can't wait 😁 Thank you for your videos and everything you share
I caught the hoya bug this last year.Your hoyas are beautiful. Hopefully in a couple of years mine will be bigger. How close to getting the Argentea princess are you?Etsy has some and I am tempted to get a small 2 leaf plant. Thats all I can afford. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR HOYAS AND SPENDING TIME WITH US.
To be honest, every Hoya of yours is my favourite!! They just look absolutely amazing!!! ❤ Mine just take forever to grow 😢 Btw, the allergy around your eyes seems coming back… Take care Kevin 🫶🏻
The cover photo is soooo me lol! also your NGG is goals, mine isn't doing anything for me 😭 so might need to switch it to leca from Pon and start experimenting
NGG is at the top of my list. I'm not a big fan of pink. Like couldn't care less about the philo pink princess, but the sunstressed pink on the NGG is sooooo subtle and elegant in my opinion.
I don't know if this will help you, but I have found Hoyas to be more like succulents than other tropical plants; compared to aroids or Marantaceae plants, for example... and while I don't try to grow them in straight LECA, I do grow Hoyas & succulents (even cacti) in my own DIY mixture (which is basically like pon, but sort of a creation I've toyed with). But the bottom line is..if the roots start dipping into the reservoir, you kinda don't need to have as much of a reservoir at that point, if you even have one at all! Part of my mixture is using Osmocote or Osmocote Plus as granular food as well as flaked fluorite (by SeaChem) and zeolite; the basic ingredients of pon anyway, and Lechuza also put fertilizer in the mix. So the liquid food is not as of much importance for those succulent types of plants. At least the ones that really like to dry out. You can totally grow succulents and Hoyas semi hydroponically, but it's sort of a different definition of "semi hydro". Like there's no real need for a rsservoir, because they like to dry out, and if you have granulated fertilizer then you really don't need to waste your precious liquids on them. Of course, some plants do better with it than others. Whatever works! Some are differently behaved. You can regenerate dried out, spent succu cuttings in water, such as aloes, Crassula, Kalanchoe and other things. _Portulacaria afra_ actually roots faster in water than in substrate! But anyway. Yeah. I lost a couple plants because the roots started touching the reservoir for too long and I didn't realize it. But then that made me understand that these plants don't really feed that much as it is; plus they need to dry out. Hoyas especially are very minimal feeders. So you could try doing a third or half of the reservoir that you're currently doing or even none at all. Give it water after a week or two. Just see how it goes.
I love seeing the insane growth on your Hoyas! I got the Matilde because of an earlier video you posted, but I'm not sure how well it's going to grow cause I only have eastern windows and some small grow lights. Time to find out!
Small grow lights should be fine! A lot of plant people swear my east facing sun for plants because it’s not as harsh. So your mathilde should be fine. I would just keep an eye on the watering
so i love your hanhie pink so much that i bought one too!!!!!!!! I love love love your videos!!! thank you so much for continuing to put out content :)
Your plants are amazing, I want a polyneura variegated, I acquired a one leaf cutting and stared a new grow but it died of, how can I keep it alive? 24:39 , it’s in lechuza pon but I need to learn the balance with watering Thank you for sharing your collection, it’s beautiful
Do you know anything about Hoya Bella’s? Mine was doing fantastic in the front window last summer. Before that it was losing all its leaves. I had to take out of the window and started losing leaves again. Now with a grow light for several weeks ago. Recently up potted into a chunky soil. Still losing leaves but less so. I had found a peduncle before I potted it. I can’t find it now and I’m sure it blasted after the potting. Any ideas. I’m really willing to try anything.
I’m not a Hoya lover but, slowly, over time I’m noticing them a little more and kinda……wanting some ?? 🫣🥴😂 especially after watching videos like this lmao
Oh yes, that is DEFINITELY how it starts. The next thing you know, you’ll find yourself at Lowe’s picking up a Hoya Krimson Princess for your “starter” Hoya. 😅
I’m new to your channel. I’m a beginner with growing hoyas. I live in Sydney Australia. I was blown away with the size of your first Hoya. How long did it take for this Hoya to get to this size💿? 🫶🫶🇦🇺🇦🇺

I would be so happy if even ONE of my hoyas becomes as robust as yours 🙌 Such beautiful plants!! Can’t wait to see the rest 🤩
I do like hoya's, I only have about 5, and what stopping me from having more is because they are so invasive, except the Indian rope.
