If I may add a little bit of information regarding Gunslinger, there's a new mod (added back in December) called "Gunslinger Nitpickers Patch" that fixes a few things like icons, hud, vanilla upgrade icons, etc. The pictures are worth a thousands words so I won't go into more detail here.
Started my 3-rd playthrough last week by the way.
PS. Great video mate. Loving that you have this Starter Guide for the entire franchise. What a great way to welcome new and veteran Stalkers into the Zone.

I’ve been hunting around Russian STALKER modding forums to find a complete HD models pack or an Anomaly HD models back-port to CoP. If anyone got any info please let me know!

Thank you for this awesome video! The gunslinger mod is absolutely amazing. But there's one thing worth mentioning, that almost made me uninstall. And that would be, for some reason they made Burers invincible

Edit: just found out that the balancing is absolutely shit in gunslinger like I can barely kill the burrer, wtf are they thinking I literally shot it with rpg and it does nothing, its bs

Hi, I'm somewhat new to stalker mods, especially since I bought Pripiat's call on steam at this time. I would like to know if that weapon mod is a mod that the game needs or is it a mod like radiophobia 3. I would like it to be via steam to save my progress.
Gunslinger is a mod that overhauls the game to modernise it a little. Its not required as the Vanilla game is fine on its own. While using gunslinger it saves your progress on your PC the same way all stalker games do. You dont need steam to run any stalker games once they are installed.

No Gunslinger is stand alone. You have to manually merge mods with it and it can be tricky
I have a notebook that kinda struggles with games, someone can tell if this mod is heavy like Gamma or EFP for Anomaly or is more friendly for weak PC’s?
Its not as heavy but is still heavier than vanilla

I think it ruined the game files. On vanilla I can make the laboratory x8 mission. But in the modded I spawn inside the lab and can’t leave the facility 😢
Yeah Gunslinger is buggy. I kind of dont recommend it anymore.

I tried Anomaly it''s waaay overhyped I just want my Call of Pripyat and back at it again.
Yeah it’s a platform for mods. I wouldn’t say it’s overhyped but it’s a popular entry point for most people.
People love it cuz its heavily moddable and free.
Absolute Nature is a must but sometimes he can bug some missions like the bloodsuckers one

Try it out. However gunslinger is a complete overhaul so you don’t need anything else

I dont think so. You wont need it. Gunslinger overhauls the weapons itself.
When I try and open Gunslinger_installer a ‘windows protected ur pc’ screen pops up and won’t let me open it. Any idea how to stop that?
Nm, iv sorted that out but when I go to install the mod it says ‘stopping installation, please wait’ any idea what that’s about?
Not sure. Try starting over. Turn off windows defender while you do.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but the performance is terrible for me can’t get more than 60fps and is average of 40 I have a 4070ti and and Ryzen 9 so it’s not my rig
Try adjusting the grass settings. Put them all the way down and go up from there.
@@spectakil yep grass density set it to just below half and im 160/140 everywhere set it to full I’m 20 frames 😂

I highly doubt it. Gunslinger has been abandoned by its dev. Keep and eye out for StCop and GWR.

what settings do you recommend?
Everything at max apart from grass. Turn that all the way down and increase it up until it tanks your fps then pull it back a touch

websites does not work.
I just checked all the links and they worked fine. What is not working for you? The website as a whole or the downloads? ModDB has upgraded their website recently so there might be issues depending on your location.
@Spectakil it says the page couldn't be found. Every once in a while it'll load but the page doesn't load correctly and I can't download the link for the mod nor does it show up
@@spectakil so i tried downloading the mod but now its telling me that it was unable to download because it detected a virus.. its like the universe doesnt want me to mod this game lol pls help
@@spectakil Update: i finally got the mod installed and working. the mod is great and really gives it a fresh experience but i have one more problem. I have to go to check updates in the mod file and "activate" it every time i want to launch the game for it to keep my saves, if i dont do this then my save gets erased and i have to start over every time
@@silxntghost The mod literally works by injecting dll's into the game, which is how online cheats work and definetly also used by some viruses. The antivirus will definetly pop up when doing that

In your steam library folder. If you right click on the game on steam you should be able to find its location there. Note once you have installed Gunslinger it wont natively launch from steam.

No as this is a singleplayer offline game you can do whatever you want. If you like it as is then do that.

No and its a bit broken. Im working on a video for an alternative mod as we speak.
