Definitely a different way of doing this. Good to know. I usually place a volume to allow interact and just enable when overlapped. I can see advantages to both ways though.
Hi Gorka, Am new in this game Dev and i want to create a short horror game but i don't know from where to start what tutorial should i watch ? and any tips ?
Would you be able to make an advanced tutorial on this lever system? - Example, if Lever is flipped up, open door, or for even more advanced if the correct levers in sequence are flipped, open door, like a simple puzzle type system?
I'm guessing if I want to take this further, like, when near the switch and pulling it, have the character move to the correct world location, have the character's palm attach to the lever and let only the hand animated with the pulling motion, would it be easy to do, or is there another workaround to this method shown here that is faster and more catered to what I want to achieve? Basically, I would want to add more detailed interactions and animations as much as possible, may even want to add a little cutscene that when the character approaches and pull the lever, the camera cuts to a moving close up of the hand griping the lever, then pulling it, then cut back to the default third person camera... would it be easier if i just activate a cinematic sequence instead and animate the lever rotation and the hand animation manually instead of using Blueprints and messing with timelines and transforms and stuff?
Your teaching is very good, but I would like you to enlarge the screen and the text a bit. When typing, please be a bit slower. Thank you very much for making such a good clip.
@@GorkaGames hahaha no mean not the speed you are speaking, I mean the number and frequency of the videos… just kidding by the way, keep doing what you are doing👍🏼
Hi Gorka. Cool and simple idea for implementing lever shifting. I really like the video. I have the problem that I would like to show that the character grips the knob of the lever with his hand and then there is an animation that shows lever switching by moving hand and arm down. Can you help me with this, or is there someone at your community who can help me?
Looks like no one’s having the same problem as me and that’s frustrating, I watched your video a bunch of times now and followed everything, it still doesn’t move

Yeah there are many ways, normally I take the other approach of a trigger, but I wanted to test something different
The Goat send me New Lesson, thank you so much Master 🙏

Could you make a tutorial on rail grinding? Similar to sonic or Fortnite where you can jump out at any time

Would be nice to change the rotation point of this lever to not be in the middle but other than that great tutorial! TY.
So nice I think speaking with a script is a lot better
