- A lightly comedic look at my rankings for the 2022 F1 tracks
With the 2022 F1 season set to have 23 races (The most ever) I thought I'd look through and see which are my favourites and which ones, well......aren't

This is such a high quality video for someone with 400 subscribers. You’ll be in the thousand in no time. Great video
Thanks, that's really appreciated
Sheesh you weren't kidding, took just 3 days
Wow zo happy for u man
Well, I did call it
BRUH WHATT?? HE WAS 400 A WEEKS AGO? That's like freaking 500% increase in week, and 70%/day to 2,4k
Well done to you jack and On Track
As a Brazilian, also think that Interlagos should be the last race on the calendar, who knows, maybe one day!
I'm not Brazilian and i agree! Abu Dhabi is only the last because they paid for it...
@@KayoMichiels Brazil should be the last race again, it's a great track and there's always emotion in the title dispute, 2008 for example
@@zenky9644 Not to mention they spray actual champagne.. not some rose water...
@@KayoMichiels lol
agreed
Drivers usually rank spa quite high as well 😉
Yeah, have only been on the F1 games but tbh I can see why
@@On_Track_91 It even feels good to drive a remake of it on Trackmania, a game who's only common point with F1 is the look of cars.
Ahh, Monaco, the track with the undisputed best qualifying, at the expense of having exciting races (most of the time). Although, I think the problem with Monaco is not the track itself, but the thicc cars. Formula E had insane racing at that circuit, so maybe if F1 had narrower, shorter cars again, we could be looking forward to sunday in Monaco.
Yeah, i reckon this year might be a little better but still not great. Also F1 cars are so fragile which i reckon stops a few dives. The FE cars can take a bit more contact
@@On_Track_91 make a monaco only car that's more like a formula-e bumper car?
@@karelvanassche4116 that would be nearly impossible to develop a whole new car just for ONE race out of twenty three with the cost cap on the teams
Good to see a mutual agreement on Imola and Baku! For me they're my favourites as Imola is quick, has good gradient changes, is satisfying to drive in game and has a looot of history. Baku, I'd say, is almost the same, presenting a lot of challenge (and so great satisfaction when you NAIL the castle section), fast straights and a good bit of battling and action as we saw in. 2021. Good video, very high quality!
From a driver's aspect, India, hands down, was the best Tilke track ever made.
Yeah it's a shame it's no longer in F1
I've never understood all the love India gets. Always find it dead boring.
@@johnmorris1009 from an f1 standpoint, it’s a simple answer, sebastian vettel
@@johnmorris1009 It's where Vettel won his 4th championship that's why
Um... *points at Sepang
Great video man. Surely underrated you are. Keep upping your videos!
New to this channel and I already love your videos. Keep making high quality videos man❤
Thanks, glad to hear it
Jeddah's only problem is that it's literally too good, perfect track to show your skills, narrowly avoiding walls and overtaking in high speeds, frequent yellow flags give spotlight to team strategists, and it's an eye-pleasing experience, I just hope those barriers and halos are as safe as we think they are
Yeah, for me it's just the speed plus walls combo, the layout itself is fun, flowing intense, just makes me wince each race
Jeddah could genuinely be my favorite track, we've only raced there twice but man have they been exciting, the qualy last year oof marone.
If the concrete walls were just placed with more nascar SAFER barriers I’d feel better about it
really good video speaks very nicely and informative. Will be looking forward for your next video 👌
Honestly, my rating for Brazil would be 10 because I don't recall any bad racing in Brazil.
Spa 9,5 but it's been a while since I saw a excellent race in SPA
Suzuka 9,5 for the same reasons
Awesome video from someone with so few subscribers, good luck man.
Thank you for keeping the music so low and relaxing and as well speaking calmly but precisely! This is definately what other big F1 Channels get wrong! I love F1 content but too fast and too loud is just uncomfortable. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, the race ratings series is probs more along those lines than my honest review one, if that's the style you're after
@@On_Track_91 I just checked out your Honest Review Series and they are amazing as well. Thank you so much for the great content.
Looking forward to Australia this year. Watching live (support categories) at the moment, and they are already about 10 seconds a lap quicker with the new changes.
Honestly, this video is great and your other videos are high quality as well. It seems you put a hell of a lot of effort in these videos and you deserve all the recognizion you can get! Love the videos, you earned yourself a new sub :)
The redbull ring also was the backdrop of Brad Binder’s mad mad win last year
Really underrated youtuber keep at it and you'll be at the top one day!
Great channel man, well done. I hope you can hit that real $$$ threshold soon, you deserve it.
Thanks, 50k i think is the sort of 'making a living number' but for now it's still a nice thing to have ticking along
underrated channel, nice video bro

Rare that i search for a video and find exactly what im looking for done well. Thanks :)

Aaaaand Sochi is out, here we go
Just popped up in my recomms, good stuff
I would have thought some of the new tracks would have indoor sections with track sprinklers!
This just popped up in my recommendations! Hope you’re ready for A LOT of views.
this video made me chuckle a lot/ keep it up :)
Thanks, would reccomend the honest reviews if you're a fan of the jokes
great vid mate :)

Putin being a madman: Let me introduce ourselves
idk how your videos ended up in my recommended but i ain’t complaining at all, solid
Thanks :)
i have been hot lapping miami on assetto with the rss evo and once you get the flow that track is addicting. even the slow part
This is my new favourite F1 related channel. Also loved your Mazespin video. Great work. Although, as an Aussie, I'm a bit offended by the 4.5 for Melbourne 🤪
Hopefully this years a good one at Melbourne
@@On_Track_91 Yep fingers crossed.
Bring back Adelaide 😬
I believe Melbourne can get around 7 with this new track layout, we will see in 2 days :D
@@daviddanser8011 yeah
Good stuff!!
What is your score for Turkey?
Btw good channel. there are so many new F1 channels but they lack good content. Yours is good, like to listen to your ramblings :))
I quite like turkey, lacks a little bit event wise, but a solid 7.5 probably, maybe 8, somewhere in that region
@@On_Track_91 thank you!
Great video!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed
I agree that Baku is the best street circuit ever
Bro, I have the same feelings for Baku, it’s my fav track after spa
really good video, i would pup cota a bid higher but otherwise ur list in great
Very happy about our track here in Belgium, would love to see a race irl
Good video but I would have liked to hear more analysis on why you think certain tracks do/don't produce good races
I try to hit one F1 race a year. I mostly agree with your breakdown here. Though I'm surprised about Mexico. So far I have been to Mexico, COTA, and Monza. I absolutely had the best time in Mexico in 2021 i think it was a great race. The atmosphere is unforgettable. I think it deserves a higher rating than 4.0....i mean really??? no way. Maybe a 6.5-7. I was at Cota last year for the 2022 F1 race there and i absolutely loved it. I think it is a great track, and yes it does work. Monza, yea your right on there. Still a bucket list experience if your a Die hard F1 fan like me. Miami...you were far too kind. That's a 2.0 score for me. France a 2.5. Russia a 1. Im going to the Spanish Grand Prix this year, though its not the most exciting race of the calendar, im still happy to go! Baku and Silverstone and Monaco are still my favorites.
Spa, Suzuka and Interlagos are the most complete tracks, they have high speed section, low speed section, terrain elevation etc. Interlagos is too short, Spa is too big and Suzuka is balanced, but to me all 3 are 9,5.
But Interlagos had the better races and Suzuka the opposite.
Its so funny seeing Sochi and St. Petersburg mentioned on a list after viewing post certain event.
Top 3 for me: Baku, Spa, Montreal
Worst 3 for me: France, Abu Dhabi, Barcelona
(Most might dissagree with me, but I actually liked Sochi. Please don’t kill me)
Feel like Spain will be a real test for the new regs
I agree great part of your grades, but i can't agree with Monza... It is one of my favorite track and yes is one of the easiest track to learn, but to be quick there it is really really hard, if you brake some meters earlier you're slow, if you brake some meters later you will lock up, cut the chiacane and then we have Ascari chicane, it's a chicane but it is also one of the most trickier turn in all calender, one little error there can cost you the entire race...
But anyway this are personal opinion and i respect your! Good video and see you in the next one.
That's very fair, i definitely get why it's liked by a lot of people
ive watched 5 minutes and this guy is just highlighting sad charles, great vids tho, keep up the good work
Baku, Monza, and Austria are 3 of my favorites because they pretty much as close to an oval you can get without being an oval, and F1 doesn't do ovals... I would like to see F1 try to incorporate some ovals to add to the diversity of tracks/circuits. While ovals aren't very interesting in terms of layout, they do allow for very high speeds throughout with little to no braking. And I like speed. While it may be somewhat boring(go straight, slight turn, repeat), ovals being just slipstream(excellent for overtaking), the races are certain to be more interesting than tracks that have little to no overtaking, like Monaco. Imo Monaco is the worst race on the calendar(excluding tracks that have not held races yet, of course), rivaled for that spot only by Spain and France(Zandvoort gets a pass because I like the banking and it looks like a roller coaster).
Ovals are boring. Go watch nascar.
It’s a great video and ur great but why u hat monza?
Maybe not hate, but just not in love with it
@@On_Track_91 ight respect for u
Amaizing video!
Do i think hungaroring deserved better
In 2021 one of the best battles of the year was made by alonso which you didnt mention, amd the incredible comeback of Hamilton.
Its a circuit which is getting hosted by f1 for more then 40 years which also has a purpose
It also has many gravel and grass which makes the drivers not do mistakes.
Compared to canada which you gave 7.5 is i think if not better on the same level
Yeah that's a fair point on the Hungaroring. I guess 2021 was a lot to with Hamilton being very out of place (through their own fault)
Monza is easily my favourite, just due to the fact that it's such a simple but high-speed and prestigious track. You can't goo wrong with Monza.
starting watching and playing the games in 2020, I started off loving Baku and now my favourite is France
The thumbnail with best on Abu Dhabi and worst on Silverstone is brilliant for engagement.
after watching the race at australia this weekend with the new updates, did your rank change about it?
Yeah, gone up a bit, might just be recency bias but maybe now a 5.5 - 6 roughly
Just gained a subscriber. F1 has far too many robot voice videos that just regurgitate tabloid B.S.
Well done. Looking forward to more from you.
Thanks, if that's the case, the honest review vids are probs a good series for you to follow
I agree with most but abu dhabi becaus it actually does show interesting faces and overall is a great track for racers to challenge each other on . I would give it a 7.5
Also to drive Abu Dhabi is boring AF.....
I am appalled by the number of subs u have given the quality of the video...i thought you would be in the tens of thousdands if not the hundreds but then realized it was way less...if it means anything the video was great.
Thanks, I guess the channel is pretty young though, still, progress is progress
I am a Ferrari fan an I cannot describe how I feel right now😭😭 good video by the way😀
i hope you feel better now

Brazil: 10/10
United Arab Emirates: 6/10
“Paul Runoff”-hahahahha!
You can pass coming into the stadium section of Mexico if you dive bomb just right into turn 12, but you have to complete the pass before turn 13, or you're stuck on the outside and the move counts for nothing.🤷
M25 at rush hour, I know the struggles
I didn’t realize you had 6,2k subs. Based on the content I would say you have around 100-200k
This channel ispeak F1 humour
to be fair, interlagos has not had THAT... many changes since its inception
You are basically the same as me I think you had fair ratings overall except from Hungary I think that should be a six but despite I LOVE your view keep it up
Thanks, real glad you're enjoying it
They should add rainbow road as a race
11:58 the only problem with Interlagos, is that there is not enough Interlagos :V
The section about sochi aged very well
My ratings are:
Sakhir - 8
Jeddah - 9
Albert Park - 9.5
Imola - 7.5
Miami - 3.1
Catalunya - 2
Monaco - 9
Baku - 10
Montreal - 10
Silverstone - 10
Speilberg - 8
Paul Ricard - 3
Hungaroring - 8
Spa - 10
Zandvoort - 5
Monza - 10
Sochi - 4
Marina Bay - 8
Suzuka - 8
C.O.T.A - 9
Mexico City - 5
Interlagos - 9
Yas Marina - 6
yo sochi did take his thoughts seriously.... hehe 🙊🙊
We went to Jeddah 2 times and it delivered 2 mega races, plus the venue looks gorgeous, I’d rate it 8 or 8.5.
But it is dangerous so is a 7 or 6.5 for me
@@amkgskjsi3840 What do u mean it is dangerous? All tracks are dangerous.
@@Name-yb7hn i mean more dangerous than normal
good to see spa on top, but arn't they thinking of scrapping spa for las vegas? (i hope not i'm Belgian)
Yeah I'd heard, think it's because its one without a contract in place, really hope its not the case though
Personally knowing your genius comedy I think you should take the best bits of all tracks and make a custom (theoretical) best track or maybe the opposite
I did a similar ish vid looking at Tilke tracks, but that might still be a shout
So I understand that F1 is gaining a huge popularity in America. The 2021 COTA race was the first F1 race I've watched from start to finish while paying attention to individual drivers themselves. Really all I know is Hamilton, Verstappen, and Grosjean (only cause I saw him race Indycar). I'm considering watching this season. I kind of wanted to know what tracks were consistently good. Is it worth paying to watch?
Hey, glad to hear you're finding about F1.
I think the way you watch is a bit different in the UK vs USA because of the Sky Sports paywall here, but if i understand right you can get F1 tv pro which is something like $80 (might be wrong) but if so i'd say for sure that's worth it
In terms of tracks I'd say there are ones that usually give better races, Silverstone and Spa come to mind, along with but there's no garuntees.
And likewise there are a couple which tend to not be great but sometimes aren't terrible
@@On_Track_91 Thanks! I figured it was around that price range. I've always known about F1, but Nascar is my bread and butter. Even recently I've become a fan of Indycar. I just haven't been real open minded to open wheel racing til past couple of years. I even started watching World of Outlaws. I'm just gonna look into paying to watch it and find a driver I like. Also it'll be nice to watch some racing commercial free and the production crew treats the race like the Spectacle that it is. FOX treats Nascar like doodoo. Like it's just a fun chill afternoon at the track. They also frequently do full screen green flag commercial breaks. Screw that.
I've only watched a little nascar, used to watch more when johnson and gordon were about
@@On_Track_91 You have no idea how much I miss Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. Nascar and Hendrick Motorsports is planning on running a modified Gen 7 Nascar car in the 2023 24 Hours of Lemans
Sounds pretty cool, how have the next gen cars been working out?
zandvoort hard to overtake. perez would say otherwise
Zandvoort being higher than Monza is a crime but I respect every other rating. Good vid tho
How is Interlagos not higher than Silverstone
As a Belgian, it really bums me put we don’t have a belgian driver to race the home track Spa
The thing at yas marina also looks like a mans sausage from a birds eye view
Jeddah is at least a 8
What's your rating on Australia now that we've raced there with the new changes?
Improved but still not amazing (on the racing) but the crowd seemed really great as well. I Believe it was Australia's biggest ever sporting event, something like that.
So it probs goes up to a 6, 6.5, trying not to have too much recency bias
I know it's not completely scientific but ya could break down your scoring a bit more objectively for each track according to some of criteria you mention yourself when describing the tracks. E.g. score for overtaking opportunities, setting, thrill whatever etc etc. Otherwise it's a nice vid but feels a bit random.
Thanks for the feedback, yeah i did want to a little more but had to make the trade off with video length and keeping the content moving
Great video. But, Monaco is a 1 at best. At this stage (2023) Vegas is a 10 plus.
A 7 for Monza pains and tortures my soul
but also sounds about right........
The Australian race is one of the best race days maybe not track but the atmosphere is elite.
Think this year really showed it
@@On_Track_91 100%
Melbourne's changes made Albert Park a lot better to race on.
Best track for me has always been Spa in Belgium, worst track the the dull and turgid Hungaroring (a race which is like watching paint dry)
Personally i'd rate austria higher. It hasnt got that much history as some of the other tracks, but the racing there is often great. Id say its close to an 8.5
I always liked the idea of Abu Dhabi but the circuit is just not even close to being good enough for the last race of the season
Well, at least you got your wish with Sochi! I agree with your number one but am afraid that Eau Rouge into Eau Fuck.
M,ONZA DESERVES A 10000000
Sir, the real F1 fans salute you (considering the real racing fans agree to disagree if need be, as long as constructive race talk is present)
Damn that Monaco comment continues
Sergio Perez turning into a Wall
I love how the thumbnail showed Silverstone as the worst, but he gave it a 9
That be youtube sometimes
France and Abu Dhabi are my favourite
"F1's most hated corner"... couldn't agree more especially now with the yellow sausage... of course if you remove the whole Monaco track that is.
And Sochi was a good track, 3 is way too low compared to other tracks, I sense a bit of bias there...
My personal favorite is Jeddah for everything but the location
On the track itself, If it was built as a 'proper track' it would be perceived quite differently
@@On_Track_91 What is a “proper track”? It’s a different and challenging track and provides good races. I don’t see why it’s not a “proper track”.
I honestly really like Yas Marinas
You're way too generous to the shitty tracks like Monaco while being to harsh to Singapore and Azerbijan...
