Zandvoort marshal here👋🏻 Thanks for ranking our circuit so high! Indeed we do have an amazing circuit to race, those elevation changes make this circuit even more special👌🏻
Feel like tv coverage probs doesn't do it justice either
as an Australian I agree wholeheartedly that Albert Park is fine, but missing that little something. maybe widening the left right swish to make it a wicked overtake or something, or maybe it should have 4 DRS zones.
Think its proabbly other than up to turn 9,the straights aren't overly long, so even with drs there's no real chance to get alongside, and then up to 9 is so long people get by easy
Its missing being the opening race. Even though im not that old, i remember waking up early in the morning to sit with my dad and watch the mercs and ferraris battle it out to kick off the season. Good times.
Glad you like the Red Bull Ring. Yeah, I know we can't offer the drivers a long track, but at least we can offer them a challenging one.
Yeah, one i'd define as solid
I love the Red Bull Ring, the layout seems very good, and if this even counts, i like to race in it in every single videogame that contains it. From the literally arcade-inspired Horizon Chase to the infamous simcade GRID Autosport
You should have made the track part of the austrian mountains, so it could be longer and more epic looking F1 track, when for me for its simple track shape and how shorth track is. I think its one of the worst tracks in F1 calender.
@@LotsOfToubleUsuallySerious
For me it was the most boring F1 track you could race in Gran Turismo sport, because its just so shorth and simple track driven through under the sun.

If FOM could drop the Miami GP, Mexico City GP, Qatar GP, and Abu Dhabi GP, we’d greatly appreciate it. It would shrink the calendar to a reasonable 20 races, but I don’t have enough clout to force FOM to drop these 4 Grands Prix
Sad times
I just don’t understand why people don’t like the Mexico Grand Prix. It’s a great track by itself and the atmosphere is amazing.
@@S__a_m_u_r_a_i the track has too many awkward turns. It used to be better until Senna and others complained about a lack of safety in the early 90s, so it was changed and became a slower track. Personally I don’t care about the atmosphere around the tracks since I don’t physically go to the races; I watch from home.
I think Saudi is a really cool track and the racing there is decent. High risk but they could use some more non concrete barriers
Remove Miami, Imola, Spa and Lusail instead.

Agree with most of this, but was interested by the objection to Monaco. This seems to be one many make but I always feel misses the point. We want each track to bring a new challenge, and you mentioned about how tracks are to drive. For me, Monaco is more like watching an F1 rally. It's genuinely exciting to watch the racing as they push for times and to not break their nerve.
Pretty much all your scores though, totally agree. I was still stuck after the 1996 Spanish GP hoping for a good race out of that track for years until suddenly it occured to me..... this track sucks lol
So I previously liked Monaco and gave it a 7.5 for it's uniqueness etc. However over the last two years, have realised that an interesting race (as in remotely interesting) is completely dependent on if it rains
@@On_Track_91 I do see your point, but I think that depends again on what you would see as interesting. If the perfect balance is overtaking / driving skill, in the same way I would agree with you on Las Vegas for epic battles, I would feel the same about Monaco for epic jeopardy. If that makes sense :) . I'm excited even when they're not overtaking, because anything could happen!
@@On_Track_91 Part of the race weekend is quali though and that’s always super exciting, how much do you see drivers push etc. then in the race you see strategy and limits come into play, because of quali/strategy there is always someone pushing through the field. I also find it interesting that for a lot of other circuits you mention throwing changing weather in there as a plus point but totally disregard for Monaco, I think having Monaco lower than Miami etc is unjust and I’d say anywhere from a 6.0 to a 7.5 is a fair judgement of the race weekend. Monaco isn’t about the excitement of overtakes but it is about suspense, anyone can hit a barrier at any point, just like horror movies aren’t all about jump scares, some are more drawn out psychological thrillers, I’d put Monaco in that category personally. Loved the list and video idea! Earned a new subscriber
@@On_Track_91there are way two improve this one.
1. Have it one on simulators with no damage.
Or
2. Make the cars have manual gear sticks for this race you would definitely have more mechanical failures.
By the way great video did not agree with all scores but could see where your coming from.
@@On_Track_91The race itself can be a bit boring (or is boring) but qualifying is really nice to watch at the track. Especially outside of swimmingpool (grandstand O). The speed in the first chicane is really insane. The atmosphere during the weekend is also really nice, the track opens up every night and parties are being held at the track.
Unfortunately ticket prices have increased a lot in Monaco compared to 2022 when I was there for the last time. And when free practice was still on Thursday (back in 2019), Friday morning was free of charge, you could sit on any grandstand you liked for free practice of Porsche Supercup and F2 sprint race. Those were the days. 😉
For me it is a bit been there done that but I think I will go there again in a couple of years.
Thanks for this excellent resume and looking to meet somes of at Vegas this year !
Great take down. Thank you. Here's hoping this year's racing includes a few more winners. At least to provide a break between the playing of the Netherlands National Anthem.

Monaco and Abu Dhabi 👀
@@On_Track_91 Yeah, i'm not lying. Monaco because I think no one can remove it (at least so far) , and Abu Dhabi because the current layout is more better than the old one, but indeed, these two (Monaco and Abu Dhabi) it's not fit at all for 2022-2025 cars.
For me, the main reason why race in Catalunya and Abu Dhabi is the cars. 2022-2025 cars is too big, not great. If F1® cars dimention can back to at least 2009-2016 cars, it will be more better racing.
For México, yeah the track design is not great. It's need to be changed.
For Monaco, it's combined between two reasons that I mention at earlier.
I agree with you that Monaco and Australia deserve higher rankings than in the video.

This is a rating, not a ranking
I know I know, it just sounded better
@@On_Track_91 agree with almost all of it except Monaco. Having the best qualifying of the year should count for more. Netherlands is usually underrated and Silverstone is usually overrated.
I actually think Miami is a super underrated track. It just seems like people (understandably) can't get over the nauseating, over-the-top, cringey antics to see the quality that is there. Like if Lewis Hamilton was an F1 track
Tbh i don't mind the antics just so far, year 1 the surface was awful and year 2 it was an ok race. Can see how there's potential there tho
to be fair Taron (hope I spelled that right) the racing is because of Verstappen not the track, although I will agree with you on the little chicane before the back straight, what were they thinking, it's Azerbaijans castle section but worse
top tier for racing, strategy and weather: Interlagos, Silverstone , Spielberg .
las vegas vas surprisingly good, and i thinke they should keept on calendar. Circuits that i want to come back : Sepang , Hockenheim, Indianapolis GP . Tracks that i know is imposible becouse of size of f1 cars and other factors, but i really love : Laguna seca, Bathurst

Suzuka down to like an 8. It doesn't really fit too well with these current cars (or the previous gen either) because they are too big. Silverstone and COTA, I'd give them both 9. Also, Zandvordt I'd probably drop it down to like 7.5 or 8. Last year was a wild one sure, but that was more weather related that led to it, more than the track itself (has the same problem as Suzuka). Other than that, mostly the same.
Edit: also, I'd probably drop the Austrian one by 0.5 or 1 until they figure out this track limits issue, it ruined the race last season, and seems to be a running theme. The on track action gets spoiled.
i don't like Imola because of the ayrton senna accident lol
What's wrong with the timing for Las Vegas, it needs to be later on in the year and the evening so it's not super hot
So the time of year means super cold, and time isn't great for anyone worldwide
@@On_Track_91 it's in the evening here in North America which to me is preferable then all the races at 9 am
@@OBJ3_13 10pm vegas time right? So that works for west coast, but kinda late for the rest?

Congrats on your text! Funny jokes and lots of information. Greetings from São Paulo!
I think Shanghai is the most underrated circuit of the calendar, probably because of Covid. We had some incredible races there (2004, 2007, 2010, 2016 - just to mention a few), but nobody remembers most of them. The layout is fun, the weather is unpredictable, and Turn 1 eats the tyres so fast it always causes strategic chaos. Easily an 8.5 in my opinion.
As a Canadian you wanna go with that throw at hockey cause i am ready to drop the gloves
😅
5:46 As An Islander Fan.... Thank You For Including The Leafs
You're very welcome
I've been to Interlagos last year, what was that? My childhood dream was achieved! I absolutely loved that! If God allows me to be there again, I'll be very happy for sure! Thanks for showing love for this circuit!
Nahh, Monza is much higher, I'd give it a 9.0. 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 were all exciting, pretty much every year there's a good race
Best part about Japan getting moved to the front of the calendar is they no longer risk running the race during the rainy season, thus reducing the amount of Lake Suzuka races.
Yeah, feel like the last few years have been so wet
Honestly F1 tends to be at it's best when raid hits IMO.
Quick question: what rating would you give Mugello if it was on the calendar?
Ooh, maybe like a 6, 6.5
@@On_Track_91 better than Monza or is it on level with Monza?
Just curious, do you reply to every comment?

@@Farigeri To me there's like at least 8 to 10 tracks better than it but ok
@@astrovisionbroadcastingunion Interesting, but ok
monaco is the most flashy, wealthy race, are you a casual?
So far Zandvoort has surprised me positively I must say. I expected a mickey mouse track with little overtake possibilities but it flows great and thanks to outrageous weather conditions it holds the record now of most overtakes in a single race. And you've got to love that banked Hugenholtz corner/ turn 3 and the tricks that legends like Alonso pull off there. The atmosphere is also wild.
It's so cool a track in itself really
This may sound americentric of me but it kinda feels like yas marina should get replaced with some other track somewhere, and vegas should be the final grand prix with its glitz and glamour. Also, shockingly fun race there.
The only good racing at Monaco is the historic race where you can watch great cars from earlier eras fight it out in machines that aren't too large for the track.

Suzuka the same rating as Spain is CRIMINAL.
There are some that need to go. Spain would be one (little overtaking, other than the straight), Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Miami and Mexico City.
In their places should be Nurburgring, Istanbul, Portimao, Malaysia and maybe Magny Cours. Monaco should stay, but be held in a different month, so that rain is more likely.
Spain is one of the best of the season imo
I’m late to the party, and I know it’s cool to hate on Vegas, but it was the best race of the year for me last year. People are hating it because of all the crud around it (and that crud does suck) but the race itself was great. I agree with you on your rank. Spa deserves better, but that may be my nostalgia feels, and it isn’t like you ranked it poorly.
Exactly
I personally like most of the tracks but that can be because I am Australian and heavily sleep deprived watching the races
Man I'm not jealous of Australian F1 fans
Having attended lots of GP and visited more than half of the tracks. Silverstone is over rated…. The top 3 tracks are Interlagos, Suzuka and Spa…. Followed by Montréal, Monza, Red Bull Ring, Imola and Zandvoort.
I had a good laugh, when he was ditching 3 out of the 7 NHL clubs in Canada. Would do the same thing with soccer in England, no point in 22 guys chasing a ball for 90 (and more) minutes.😂
Is it wrong that I really enjoy Miami? Maybe not the racing, but I love driving it on the F1 games. And a note about the specific corner he pointed out, yes in the real world racing it’s awful, but in the F1 games I like it a lot… that’s ok right?
How could you give imola and monza 6,5? Less than Canada,or US or Vegas?
Cos while i love imola as a track, without weather idk if we get good races
Bro why are you rating sum tracks just by how they are designed but sum just by it's boring to watch? Like Monaco , I know it's BORING to watch but GOD it's fun to drive around if you mastered the track , and definitely it is a good track , if you consider both it will get a solid 6 or 7
Cos it's not just if the racing is bad full stop, like there are levels and Monaco is way lower than anything
Yeah monaco is one of the best imo
finally someone mentioning that jeddah isnt truly a street circuit
Neither is Miami really
I'm not convinced that Suzuka produces great racing. Try to name five memorable Suzuka racing moments that made you happy you got out of bed at 5am to watch the race.
Vegas, if it were better managed would be very awesome to watch. And yeah, drop Miami. Good on paper, bad on execution.
Is Baku really considered Europe? I thought it would be in asia
Interlagos rules. Greetings from Brazil.
Hello hello, glad to have you around
Spa and Monaco must both absolutely remain. Monaco is one of the super three and spa is the second most awesome circuit for me. THE score for spa is too low and should be a 9.5. Saudi Arabia also deserves a higher grade, a 9 for me for sure. then I think Hungary, the Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, Las Vegas, Silverstone and Japan and Bahrain are all worth 8.5 to 9.
Qatar, Spain, Miami and Mexico can be deleted, instead Portugal, Hockenheim and the Nürburgring or Malaysia should come back on the calendar. But only One circuit is my absolute favorite and I would give a 10. It's the circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
It's just perfection
Agree with your observations. Having spectated at most of the European circuits, Spa is for me "hands down" the most exciting track on the schedule. And Eau Rouge is not only the most intense corner on the circuit but likely the entire F-1 calendar. However, the Ardennes Forest weather there, is always a crapshoot. Grade: a solid 9.5... Monaco, while it is very tight with virtually no passing opportunities, does have character and is an (obvious) annual staple, for the rich & famous and will also will likely endure indefinitely , because of its reputation and racing history. Grade: 7.0
FOM needs to drop Miami, Monaco, las Vegas, Dubai, Hungría so we shrink the calendar and live the tracks that provide good racing and spectacle
On the day they announce a Madrid street track
I would get rid of Miami, Imola, Barcelona, Zandvoort, COTA, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. And then I would add Sepang, Mugello, Buddh, Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Indianapolis, Istanbul and Kyalami, resulting in the same 24 races calendar, but MUCH better. Ofc, Kyalami, Istanbul and Mugello are circuits that only fit well the cars from 2021 and before, since they were more narrow than today. So they wouldn´t fit well nowadays. But apparently the 2026 cars will be way smaller, so maybe those 3 circuits could get a good chance with them.
That's a fair number of changes
Plss don’t bring Buddh back
9:10 hey literally all our good ones die/get seriously injured (Hinchcliff, G. Villeneuve, Moore, Wickens)

@@On_Track_91 granted I may have some slight bias as its my favourite to drive and 2023 was just eye watering as an alonso fan but no I still believe its the best there is. Unique, well made corners, fair overtaking opportunities and seems to have an air of unpredictability
Ahhhgh, I wish you'd shown a graphic at the end with your tracks ranked best to worst.
"So there you have it [graphic], the 2024 F1 tracks, ranked..."
I have to grab a pencil and write down your numbers? Graphiccccccc
Makes you re watch ;)
Tbf i do for my ratings series
@@On_Track_91 This was a ratings vid though, yeah? Just feels like you left off a bit at the end. Good luck to you though, thanks for making it
@@uxeverything4789 I get what you mean, but tbh it's about retention, even in vids with outros and end screen summaries etc. The viewership drops like a stone at the end. So in the videos beat interest to end quick, just an annoying quirk of youtubes algorithm
Definitely some bias but Silverstone will always be the best track on the calendar

@@On_Track_91 it is my favourite track along with Monza. Flows so well and has exceptional racing almost yearly, should be given a lifetime contract if I speak
Monaco should not be on the calendar. there is nothing exciting about that track. the only exciting thing about monaco last season was Max's sector 3 of his pole lap. just a few seconds of excitement from the whole weekend
