Azerbaijan is only crazy when safety cars get involved, and my worst track used to be Monaco, now it's Abu Dhabi. Monaco has an excuse, Abu Dhabi doesn't. Also what happened there in 2021 makes me want to see this track fall into a giant sinkhole.)
I grew up less than an hour from COTA. My dad took me and my mom on a trip to see it being constructed when I was very little because he had bought seats in advance. I saw Kimi Raikkonen win before my own eyes when I was 11 as a young Ferrari fan. Last year I was on the edge of my seat seeing Lando battle Max in person. Unfortunately, we had to stop going because F1 tickets for American races are too damn expensive nowadays. But anyway I’m glad to see a track that’s given me so many memories in my less than 20 years be given a damn good rating
I think Shanghai is the most underrated circuit of the calendar, probably because of Covid. We had some incredible races there (2004, 2007, 2010, 2016 - just to mention a few), but nobody remembers most of them. The layout is fun, the weather is unpredictable, and Turn 1 eats the tyres so fast it always causes strategic chaos. Easily an 8.5 in my opinion.
I believe Circuit de Catalunya is overhated, I mean it doesn't help it suffered that awful last corner for too many years, and it doesn't always give great racing but it's criminally underrated and deserves to stay in the calendar much more than glorified parking lots such as Miami or dogshit tracks for F1 such as Qatar's.
Suzuka down to like an 8. It doesn't really fit too well with these current cars (or the previous gen either) because they are too big. Silverstone and COTA, I'd give them both 9. Also, Zandvordt I'd probably drop it down to like 7.5 or 8. Last year was a wild one sure, but that was more weather related that led to it, more than the track itself (has the same problem as Suzuka). Other than that, mostly the same. Edit: also, I'd probably drop the Austrian one by 0.5 or 1 until they figure out this track limits issue, it ruined the race last season, and seems to be a running theme. The on track action gets spoiled.
Hello, my maths group project on statistical forecasting is on F1 and I have been given the task to do research on tracks, and how your performance correlates with other tracks blah blah, thus I am watching your video for research :)
I actually think Miami is a super underrated track. It just seems like people (understandably) can't get over the nauseating, over-the-top, cringey antics to see the quality that is there. Like if Lewis Hamilton was an F1 track
to be fair Taron (hope I spelled that right) the racing is because of Verstappen not the track, although I will agree with you on the little chicane before the back straight, what were they thinking, it's Azerbaijans castle section but worse
@@On_Track_91 I dont understand why so much people hate it. Its fun, good track, obviously that chicken was kinda bad, but other than that its really good
@@On_Track_91 it is my favourite track along with Monza. Flows so well and has exceptional racing almost yearly, should be given a lifetime contract if I speak
This may sound americentric of me but it kinda feels like yas marina should get replaced with some other track somewhere, and vegas should be the final grand prix with its glitz and glamour. Also, shockingly fun race there.
So far Zandvoort has surprised me positively I must say. I expected a mickey mouse track with little overtake possibilities but it flows great and thanks to outrageous weather conditions it holds the record now of most overtakes in a single race. And you've got to love that banked Hugenholtz corner/ turn 3 and the tricks that legends like Alonso pull off there. The atmosphere is also wild.
@@On_Track_91 granted I may have some slight bias as its my favourite to drive and 2023 was just eye watering as an alonso fan but no I still believe its the best there is. Unique, well made corners, fair overtaking opportunities and seems to have an air of unpredictability
As an azerbijani, i thing 90% you don't like baku because of a turn 8 from maiden tower, that road goofy asf, im not a big fan of f1 but i think some of pilots crashed there even max
I’m late to the party, and I know it’s cool to hate on Vegas, but it was the best race of the year for me last year. People are hating it because of all the crud around it (and that crud does suck) but the race itself was great. I agree with you on your rank. Spa deserves better, but that may be my nostalgia feels, and it isn’t like you ranked it poorly.
I would get rid of Miami, Imola, Barcelona, Zandvoort, COTA, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. And then I would add Sepang, Mugello, Buddh, Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Indianapolis, Istanbul and Kyalami, resulting in the same 24 races calendar, but MUCH better. Ofc, Kyalami, Istanbul and Mugello are circuits that only fit well the cars from 2021 and before, since they were more narrow than today. So they wouldn´t fit well nowadays. But apparently the 2026 cars will be way smaller, so maybe those 3 circuits could get a good chance with them.
The only good racing at Monaco is the historic race where you can watch great cars from earlier eras fight it out in machines that aren't too large for the track.
1000% agree with Monaco Love the tradition and its such a brilliant occasion. But its a bit like ....Xmas turkey. The hype and prep is an enjoyable event in itself but as far as what its like to actually eat .....

I might wanna stick Qatar there in the future, and maybe I should feature algarve, but all those circuits (apart from potentially Monaco) I’m pretty happy with
There are some that need to go. Spain would be one (little overtaking, other than the straight), Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Miami and Mexico City. In their places should be Nurburgring, Istanbul, Portimao, Malaysia and maybe Magny Cours. Monaco should stay, but be held in a different month, so that rain is more likely.
I'm not convinced that Suzuka produces great racing. Try to name five memorable Suzuka racing moments that made you happy you got out of bed at 5am to watch the race.
Surprisingly I don't have much to complain about these rankings.... well, maybe except for Monaco, Baku, Las Vegas and Jeddah which all have received a (way) too high score in my humble opinion.

Also what happened there in 2021 makes me want to see this track fall into a giant sinkhole.)
Great comment ❤ You deserve more likes for work!

No. They just have good legendary circuits. Add Mugello you have 3 brilliant circuits@@On_Track_91
@@On_Track_91 nah they just make good tracks
Congrats on your text! Funny jokes and lots of information. Greetings from São Paulo!
What's wrong with the timing for Las Vegas, it needs to be later on in the year and the evening so it's not super hot
So the time of year means super cold, and time isn't great for anyone worldwide
@@On_Track_91 it's in the evening here in North America which to me is preferable then all the races at 9 am
@@OBJ3_13 10pm vegas time right? So that works for west coast, but kinda late for the rest?
@@On_Track_91 I'm fine with it being late watching itespecially since the race is at night, maybe that's just my preference
Or early for the Brits...@@On_Track_91
congratulations, the "worst" of the thumbnail got me into the video
finally someone mentioning that jeddah isnt truly a street circuit
Neither is Miami really
I mostly rate the circuits in terms of how beautiful and classic they are. F1 is so much about the aesthetics.
Long time no see buddy. How’s the never ending winter break
Not too bad, back at it properly this year tho
Interlagos rules. Greetings from Brazil.
Hello hello, glad to have you around
Hello, my maths group project on statistical forecasting is on F1 and I have been given the task to do research on tracks, and how your performance correlates with other tracks blah blah, thus I am watching your video for research :)
I actually think Miami is a super underrated track. It just seems like people (understandably) can't get over the nauseating, over-the-top, cringey antics to see the quality that is there. Like if Lewis Hamilton was an F1 track
Tbh i don't mind the antics just so far, year 1 the surface was awful and year 2 it was an ok race. Can see how there's potential there tho
to be fair Taron (hope I spelled that right) the racing is because of Verstappen not the track, although I will agree with you on the little chicane before the back straight, what were they thinking, it's Azerbaijans castle section but worse
With the Lewis comparison you even make it worse than it already is.
Haha.

That Valtteri Bottas moment cracked me up 😂
So far Zandvoort has surprised me positively I must say.
It's so cool a track in itself really

@@On_Track_91 granted I may have some slight bias as its my favourite to drive and 2023 was just eye watering as an alonso fan but no I still believe its the best there is. Unique, well made corners, fair overtaking opportunities and seems to have an air of unpredictability
As an azerbijani, i thing 90% you don't like baku because of a turn 8 from maiden tower, that road goofy asf, im not a big fan of f1 but i think some of pilots crashed there even max

Nahh, Monza is much higher, I'd give it a 9.0. 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 were all exciting, pretty much every year there's a good race
Exactly
Bro gave Zandvoort more points that spa i’m not going to watch the rest of the video 😡
Too bad
He is right😂
I would get rid of Miami, Imola, Barcelona, Zandvoort, COTA, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi and Qatar.
That's a fair number of changes
Plss don’t bring Buddh back
Both Jackie and Brundle are big highlights of the Sunday show.
The only good racing at Monaco is the historic race where you can watch great cars from earlier eras fight it out in machines that aren't too large for the track.
love the video quality nice video
Thanks, tryna get back to tge type of way I started
There’s not a chance in hell you are ranking Vegas that high while sober
1000% agree with Monaco
Love the tradition and its such a brilliant occasion. But its a bit like ....Xmas turkey.
The hype and prep is an enjoyable event in itself but as far as what its like to actually eat .....

Each of the circuits that occur every other year or every third year is on a rotation - so there would be only 19 circuits. I might wanna stick Qatar there in the future, and maybe I should feature algarve, but all those circuits (apart from potentially Monaco) I’m pretty happy with
FOM needs to drop Miami, Monaco, las Vegas, Dubai, Hungría so we shrink the calendar and live the tracks that provide good racing and spectacle
On the day they announce a Madrid street track
Just curious, do you reply to every comment?
Most of them, normally if they're kind of 'replyable'
I personally like most of the tracks but that can be because I am Australian and heavily sleep deprived watching the races
Man I'm not jealous of Australian F1 fans
I'm the other way... sleep deprived makes me grumpy! So I dislike a lot of tracks! 😆
Las Vegas was all but Great. It was a shame Ferrari got penalized for a track/Fia issue

I love jeddah, played It in f1 games and its entertaining fast and difficult at the same time
There are some that need to go.
Spain is one of the best of the season imo
I'm not convinced that Suzuka produces great racing. Try to name five memorable Suzuka racing moments that made you happy you got out of bed at 5am to watch the race.
At the risk of being put on an island...I never really got the love for Silverstone. Its...fine.
Surprisingly I don't have much to complain about these rankings.... well, maybe except for Monaco, Baku, Las Vegas and Jeddah which all have received a (way) too high score in my humble opinion.

I had a good laugh, when he was ditching 3 out of the 7 NHL clubs in Canada. Would do the same thing with soccer in England, no point in 22 guys chasing a ball for 90 (and more) minutes.😂
Bro why are you rating sum tracks just by how they are designed but sum just by it's boring to watch? Like Monaco , I know it's BORING to watch but GOD it's fun to drive around if you mastered the track , and definitely it is a good track , if you consider both it will get a solid 6 or 7
Cos it's not just if the racing is bad full stop, like there are levels and Monaco is way lower than anything
Yeah monaco is one of the best imo
It's a fun 'hot lap' circuit... Works great with 1 car! Add traffic and you see the problems with Monaco and the current HUGE cars...
9:10 hey literally all our good ones die/get seriously injured (Hinchcliff, G. Villeneuve, Moore, Wickens)
Quick question: what rating would you give Mugello if it was on the calendar?
Ooh, maybe like a 6, 6.5

I would agree, 2023 was different, all monaco's point are for the challenge and quali importance
Vegas, if it were better managed would be very awesome to watch. And yeah, drop Miami. Good on paper, bad on execution.
Zandvoort 8,5 ?! What a load of .... 3 at best. We all know why it even exist as a race. Even DTM, at it`s peak, ditched it . Rankinf Miami and Singapore equal? Absolute boll....
Nah just my opinion
Zandvoort is one of the worst tracks I definitely agree. You just can't pass anywhere except T1 and maybe at the end of the final DRS zone before the tight chicane, but that's it
I believe Britain should be at least 9 i have loved every single race I've seen there and it has always had amazing battles and in 2023 had a non red bull driver lead for a while
Yeah it is a top track for sure, think I gave it a 9 last time
Its literally the best track for battles, you can overtake everywhere, I dont understand how its only 8.5
