What do you know, I was talking to a friend about your content and was saying I wanted to see you address ambushes, and here you are doing just that! Thanks for the advice.
It's nice to hear a veteran player confirm my opinion about the crouch walking being a death sentence. It's just so much easier to hit a crouched target than an agile one moving rapidly and shooting back.
I would say a big part of this is having a predatory attitude as well. Try and think of it as you haven't been ambushed, the enemy just revealed their position 🤷♂️
"just shoot them in the head" yup that's the whole point of the game thanks for the tip tho seriously tho, people don't seem to know how truly effective a knife can be i usually play solo and i can't even count how many times i pulled of a 1v2 with just a flash and a knife especially inside compoundds
Excellent video. Though I've become already a great Hunt player (took me no less than 200h), I always love to check this videos. One of the best content creators around. Keep up the good work! 💚
Thanks for the video, really helpful tips. My biggest flaw is getting ambushed or getting shot at first. When I have the ambush, I tend to do a lot more killing and just be a lot more effective, so tips on how to regain the upper hand is very useful for me. Could I request a full video talking about spacing, both in travel and in compound? I've found myself wishing my public teammates would space out a bit more, or sometimes not bailing out so far. I can't tell you how many times I've had my teams get wasted because of spacing.
Turn the ambush against them (ie urban fighting). When I'm in a compound and they run after thinking I'm fleeing I'll immediately turn a corner and hide. Wait for them to turn that corner and then pounce back. Pretend to be weak, scared, or newbish and then do the opposite of what they expect.
Reminds me of going balls deep any time I happen to encounter an Avtomat, because the user is usually very cocky and reckless, and they expect their target to run and hide. If I run, that's usually game over very soon anyway.
@@frajecz if you know that somebody has an avtomat then they're playing the avtomat wrong lol. The strength in that gun is keeping it in your back pocket the enemy pushes you too hard then letting her rip. Once the enemy knows you have an avtomat then you've already lost part of your advantage.
We did something similar few days ago. In a 2v3 we were at Lockbay docks and couldn't really fight them, since 2 other teams already drained our ressources. While carrying the bounty, we managed to retreat to the crematorium and decided to ambush them as soon as they were in the middle of the water, where they had no cover. Decisive win.
Hey Ascendance! Didn't you have a "wiggle" video where you gave tips on how to avoid getting shot while repositioning into cover? I was looking for it and couldn't find it. Thought it would be a good pairing with this video!
A good way to determine correct spacing is using throw distance. Just think how far you can throw dynamite or a choke bomb and use that as spacing between you and your partners when moving.
Totally awesome to have a fellow Aussie convict as a content creator for Hunt! Any advice for a noob on what time to play for player numbers? Want to improve my pvp! Cheers matey
Unlocked the "backbone" during the Halloween event but don't have it in my inventory. Anyone know why or dealing with this issue? Used it once but never appeared again. (Xbox one)
Wish more ppl got out of the crouch walk phase I’m so sick of clearing a team solo then getting third parties clearing one or two of them and dying while my teams crouched in a bush a compound away
I'll be honest I learned more that the Dolch is OP than anything else though the rest of the tips are solid. I also cringed heavily when I saw the clip of all 3 crouch walking in the open 1 got killed and the potato just kept crouch walking like dude your partner just had a bullet go through is face like 1 meter in front of you RUN.
Any advice for when you constantly run into hunters with a KDA 4 times higher than yours? because apparently hunt thinks I'm pro, or the elo system sucks.
You can't control who you is in your matches, but you can control how you play. Developing your own skills is the only thing that will help in fights against good players. Your attitude and confidence when in fights is really important too. Often a team that is bold, aggressive, and confident will be able to beat a team with better mechanical shooting skills, or even better knowledge of the game. Hunt really rewards the predator mindset. As soon as you fear other hunters you have lost 90% of the time, and seeing high KD on death screens can put you into a prey mindset instead. I turn off stats because it's distracting and pointless, and it will help avoid falling into this trap.
Have you ever asked yourself how many times you killed a 4+ kda player? It happens and it happensa a lot, probably it would be a good solution to the ELO system if we get shouwn also the playr we kill stats (not the name tho)
@@4FSGaming In my Experience. It's the opposite. When My team starts to Feel Cocky and Goes looking for Trouble. That's what we Normally Get party wiped the most often. XD
Nearly shat myself. Here I am. Hiding in bush and two LRR uppercut plebs with bounty’s! Walk right by me. Maybe they though I was with the other team. I kept quite so the other bounty wouldn’t notice me and the bounty’s tried to fight one another. Let say it was a one sided fight.
The Only Gripe I have with this Video. Is that your all ways using a Rifle or Long Ammo. Kinda Makes this Tip Video Feel less relevant to other loadouts.
He also uses pistols several times. I reckon these tips are not relevant for shotguns, the best you can do with a shotgun if you're getting ambushed is to hide behind something and hope your teammates live long enough to pull off a successful bait.
The tips here all work for shotguns, provided the ambushing players are within a certain distance. If they are far away then obviously you would disengage rather than run at them over a field while getting shot at. The problem with shotguns is they are extremely limiting, and pretty much rely on you being the person doing the ambush, or at least the flanker in a team fight while you allies keep the enemies pinned.
Great tips. Too bad they don't help when all I ever play against is Suppressed Sparks tryhards and like 80% of my matches are NIGHT FOR SOME REASON. I rage quit the game a few days ago after my fifth headclick death in a row with useless random teammates and haven't touched it since. I'm still a bit too mad today. Maybe tomorrow.

Basically you have to be the overly manly man meme from back in the day.
"They have us surrounded? The poor bastards!"
We need an updated weapon tier list. Lol

After 1.5 when they add the Winfield 1876 & 1887

This works pretty well even with just a knife, if you catch someone in mid sprint there isn't much they can do.

Do you have the karabiner bayonet unlocked? You can't purchase a legendary weapon unless the non legendary version is also available.

God that halloween vetterli is so chunky. Gross. I wish I would've gone for the pax claw skin though, that one was really nice.

2:33 - wtf is this brightness?
So you can see
