4:32 you fire your rifle as the thunder claps! Had to rewind, it made me double take on the first watch through. Really cool effect, makes me wish that’s how gunfire sounded in game
These tactics videos are great. I am one of those people who doesn't have that "godlike" aim that can jump out and flick heads and usually will lose a head on fire fight due to the fact. I could try just improving my aim but, that would make the game way too 1 dimensional and similar to most fps games on the market currently, not to mention the fact that the aim the average player has is usually much better than mine which would require a load of practice and therefore time to overcome. The refreshing thing about Hunt is that you can be just as effective if you put the same amount of effort in strategy, such as accurately predicting how your enemy will act, knowing if the landscape is advantageous or not for your fighting style and loadout, knowing when and how to retreat, etc. Utilizing tactics effectively, much like the ones outlined in your videos, can reassure a player that the enemy is at a disadvantage and therefore hinders their superior aim which, which in turn can help eliminate any nervousness that hadicaps the player during a gunfight allowing them to land confident shots which would then would help practice aim. Eventually, the player will not only have trained their aim enough to be on par with enemy players but, also would have the advantage of knowing to utilize proper strategy to give them even more of an advantage over enemies. Due to the fact, a player who uses strategy enough will eventually be in a much better spot in the end than a player that just adopted a "just practice aim" mentality that, in my opinion, is way too glorified in the fps gaming culture. Keep making these great videos man, they provide wonderful insight.
I had no idea you were a teacher, but it makes so much sense. Thanks for all you do for the community, I've been pointing new players your way on the sub every day! Glad you're getting a little compensation for all your hard work :)
I love your content and I love hunt. For me it's by far the best pvp Game I have ever played. No other game made creates that much tension and gives me chills like hunt!
I will gladly sit through a sponsorship pitch for your content because of how informative and detailed you are. Also because I’ve had some of my best/funniest shots because of your advice of “you miss every shot you don’t take”
Nice. A few things I wanna mention that I don't think you mentioned: 1. In a "can't heal too close" encounter, you might not have a good close-quarter weapon like the rapid-fire officer, in which case consider the standard knife, it has surprisingly long reach and will always one-shot a player in the head, it can also be the finisher with a swipe or stab to the chest after a shot from your pistol or rifle has landed, just remember to not rush the enemy in a straight line. 2. If you can get to your downed friend, and get him up from a position where the enemy can't see *you*, it's almost always a good idea to try, if the enemy isn't expecting it and isn't actively keeping aim on the corpse, it only takes a blink of an eye for your teammate to stand up and start moving for cover, and even if they are waiting for it you can block a chest shot for your friend (usually players are ready with a chest shot to put down your recently resurrected friend, a headshot would be risky and overkill), effectively converting healing items to additional manpower.
Must be nice to have a team that are on comms with each other that I can tell you about movements and such. I like to see you in a pug see how successful you are. This game is easy with friends but it's a real challenge when you do get into a pug.
Nothing wrong with sponsors. At least in my eyes, nothing wrong with taking a lot of them if you’re given the opportunity. If it’s supporting the channel indirectly allowing more content to come out, that’s a plus.
9:29 your biggest tactical flaw was pushing him in a building when he just wrapped around an entire building away from your team mates which you could revive. I'm not sure if the other bodies were his friends but even they were too far away. you could have turned it from a 1 v 1 to a 3 v 1 and possibly burn out the bodies to put him on a timer. I think there is a mistake between understanding when to res a player and when not to. Sometimes you can hold an angle while standing on top of a team mate until you hear them reposition in which you can quickly res your teammate as well. Too many people conflate that with rushing a res in a bad position but honestly if you are by your team mate you put the enemy under pressure to push you when they don't want to or put them in a worse position.
If the sponsors make things easier on your end go for it! Your vids are super helpful, always an insta-click when I see a new upload. My aim is trash though so sometimes gotta click twice.
In the fight at the prison I thought you should have burned that person's teammates when you had them down to a 1v1. You had mentioned earlier how they should have burned yours. I'm guessing you didn't maybe due to not seeing any lanterns and also wanting to take their expensive guns after but I think it would have sped the fight up and made it easier for you kill the last player. You can always choke bomb them after. I'm guessing she would have rushed out quickly afterwards with them screaming about not wanting to lose their precious loadouts. Otherwise it was a good video. Playing hunt showdown right now for about a week now with my friend who tends to play games extremely casually and likes everything on easy mode and I find myself very often backseat gaming whenever he’s the last one left. He isn’t very confident in himself and so often he likes to try to extract as soon as I go down or runs to hide and cower and so it gets me kind of heated. I always tell him to just play aggressively at that point or at least think logically rather than with a flight response lmao.
whats your bitrate and upload speed. I try to record at that lvl but hunt eats 75% of my computer and when i record it goes to 100% and comes out choppy.
A big thing when it comes to 3V1 scenarios is separating the enemy all right you can fight three people at once but you’re probably gonna die if you can get them all into a building and take them out when they enter certain doorways and then leave the building and take them out when they try and leave the building as well like those kinds of things work but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen one guy try and take on two or more people at once thats stupid use your brain.
ok I'll be honest I'm only downloading that game to give a little support, quality work comes from you and if that helps I don't mind. Who knows maybe itll teach me some more hunting instincts to help on the bayou
They need to add a new game mode, dont get me wrong new weapons, bosses, and maps is good but not enough for me. I would like a new game mode. Maybe something similar to what they originally planed back in 2014 or a bigger team based game like a 4v4 or 6v6 with the maps split and each team has a boss they have to protect, while trying to banish the opposite teams boss. They could keep the same mechanics of having to look for the clues then find the boss. But just like you, the enemy team knows where there clues r so they can booby trap them. Now what if they created a horde type mode, where you could of just start at the bounty and it was already banishing but all the adds on the map just start swarming you trying to prevent you from succeeding. The main problem with that in my opinion is they dont have enough adds in the game yet for that mode. They could add snakes, gators, hyenas, vultures etc. I feel like if they keep walking in this direction the game will slowly be forgotten.
I'm not a fan of most back seat gaming. It really depends on how is delivered. I used to play PUBG with someone who just blurted out stuff at a pretty high volume when I'm trying to listen. Plus it's already intense which makes me kinda jumpy lol I usually have good ear so it mostly didn't help me.
