Definately looking forwards to seeing how mine turns out which you've currently got in for tuning - Owner of the 330i Touring with a engine rebuild from Just Deutsch
Hi. We have a number of options for turbo fitting, we map quite a number of them for other engine builders / car fabrication companies too - lots of options around the UK!! You are best emailing us on info@dervtech.com for more info. Thanks!
Great for a you tube vid but stuff like this never last long, you wont see it in 80* weather idling in a 3 hr traffic jam that's for sure LOL..Dyno readings are not the real World
This car actually has been used as a daily, through summer and winter. We turned it up further on the stock 2.8 and it never missed a beat at 340hp. The engine has now been taken out to 3.3l and runs over 450hp. No problems in stationary traffic, and has been used on 30c summers days without issue….
for your first "full video" it was very very good , keep up posting this kind of good quality content. at this moment the chanel is very underated but it will grow. good job !!!
@@e36jp thanks for answer, mine is also nikasil in E39 which I want to turbocharge. Do you have any thoughts on Maxpeedingrods T3/T04e turbo or is it better to get a GT35 with external wastegate? I want to turbocharge completely stock engine
@@e36jp Thanks.. I have a supercharged (ESS) e46 330 engine, (well i have the entire car), that I was going to attempt to put into the e36 325 (my track car), Would this be easier, or any real issues (bar needing a loom adapter + throttle) for the e46 engine than going the route above?.. As 320-340 bhp in a stripped e36 should be quite quick around the track.. Thanks.
@@joper90 You've kinda got two choices... fit the whole lot into the E36, including MS43 ECU, electronic throttle etc (there are some benefits to this with low RPM throttle limiting etc), or fit the charger kit to the M50/M52 engine, and use the MS41 ECU which is meant for the E36.... Would love to see more on the car!

Finally more UK based M52 content, looking forward to the next stage/s
We saw 320hp at 0.5bar and 340hp at 0.65bar on the 2.8.
Currently running a low boost Alpina 3.3 engine, 415hp at 0.5bar!
@@e36jp aren’t there limitations on the aluminium block in comparison to the iron (US version) block?
Keep up guys!! Great work !! Can't wait for next video :-)

I am very happy Logger.S is useful to you!
Very good video, lots of information and tips regarding E36 turbo build!
Thanks so much! Any feedback is really appreciated!
is uk m52 iron or alu ?
How much would you charge to fit something like this, just bought an e36 with an M52, M50 manifold and M3 box so keen to boost it in the future

Would a 728i be any different to set up than this?
Shouldn’t be… though some of later 5/7 series are twin vanos. Just more space! :-)

if you are in UK is it an iron sleeves block or nicasil coated?
This one is a Nikasil engine.

How much boost were you running to make 300bhp?
Soooo.. have you turned the boost up on this yet?
How much would this whole remake cost for this engine?
Hi how much to flash my 328i m52 ECU for boost ?
Check out Allen Millyard’s heat shields he used on his Viper V10 bike. Basically NASA shuttle tiles.
This man deserves more attention keep up the great work
Thanks... Just so very time consuming trying to get full length videos such as this out!
Hey are you selling these builds? Would like have my e36 328i turbo'd by a reliable place and you guys seem good
Hi - sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, we are supplying / mapping full turbo kits here in the UK!! For more info, contact us at www.dervtech.com
It is possible/problematic to have A/C in a turbo charged E36 ?
It’s a fair bit of work. But it’s do-able…
Will you be putting a cat on this? Surely won't pass MOT? Also what software are you using to tune on the laptop?
would this also apply to a e36 non vanos 325? Just to add, really good solid content, with the right amount of detail.
Very similar, yes... In actual fact; the VANOS doesn't make much difference in turbo application...

By going head gasket spacer and stud kit how much power do you think is reliable on a nikisal engine I want to aim for 300whp
Stock aluminium engine? Is the turbo genuine or replica?
Can you like permanently delete check engine codes on the emulator?
Great video really informative👍 know where I'm bringing my e36 once it's boosted 👍

Lovely example e36! great info! 👌🤌👌
Would this build also work with a 97 e39 528i? Not sure if it’s the tu version and I know there’s not a lot of clearance in the e39’s
Yes, it should do... Is it single or twin VANOS?
The m52b28 is this with iron sleeves or Nikasil
or have you the number from the block
Stock Nikasil engine :-)
Sweet videoo do B58 definitely really clear and comprehensive video cheers👏🔥
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Would the m50 manifold mod make a big difference with it now being forced induction?
Was prob the best mod I did on my 323i but obvs that one N/A
You tend to lose a bit of spool, but pick up some at the very top end.
Stock manifold better, just up the boost 0.05bar on top for same m50 manifold efect 😄
very informative and entertaining, hope to be down with my 240 in the summer
