BIG CHANGES at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground + Horses at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, Boat Ride & More!

- Join me for a beautiful day at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground as we explore the grounds and check out some major updates and changes happening and also visit Walt Disney World's horse stable, the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, where you can visit the horses that work in the parks and resorts! I show you around and we talk about the changes that are currently happening and what's coming for Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, including the closing of Trail's End Restaurant and big changes to the Fort Wilderness cabins! We also have a fried chicken lunch at P & J's Southern Takeout, where we get to sit inside Trail's End and see all the decor one more time before it's changed into a completely different concept! We ride Disney ferry boats across Bay Lake and get some wonderful views too! All is explained in the video, so please enjoy an absolutely sparkling, gorgeous day at Disney World's unique campsite resort with me as I show you what's on offer and lots of updates!

Fort Wilderness is truly a one of a kind experience at WDW. I stayed here many times growing up as a kid and had a blast camping there. You can honestly check in here and never leave with all of the amenities at the campground.
I hope Disney keeps the atmosphere and look of the camps.
That was nice. That shot at the end with the monorail in the distance while on a moving boat. Cool. Keep it up. And oh yeah, Ponies! Can’t go wrong with Ponies.

These changes are very sad to me. Fort Wilderness is so special. It was the first place we stayed at Disney way back in 1988. Trail’s End even smells like that trip that made me fall in love with WDW so long ago. It feels like history being lost.
I love horses so much! The gray dapple horses are my fav at Disney. It would be so hard not to touch them for sure.

Great video!! It may seem weird but if given the choice between a week at the Grand Floridian (or any Deluxe Resort) or a week at Ft. Wilderness in our RV, we'll choose The Fort every time. There is no substitute for sleeping in your own bed and saving money by cooking in your own kitchen while still having all the benefits of staying on property.
I wish I live locally so I could just make a day out of the ranch. That’s why I live vicariously through you. When I go to Disney, I just go go go, but I think that happens to everyone who’s there visiting for a week. I try to cram everything in. Thank you for all your great videos Jackie!!!

Just lovable, and so much appreciated…We want to thank you for the trip out to the Wilderness lodge (your second time) a few years back,we watched your vlog at the Wilderness..it seems like your back in Tennessee and not at Disney..The log cabins are so charming and our family would enjoy a stay there. Great job ,as always.
It's no secret this channel is beloved by many on the interwebs, and of course that is because of its lovely host! I wonder if we need a "Day In The Life Of Jackie" video? It could be fun to see how you spend your mornings, what kind of coffee do you drink, what do eat when you're not at the parks, how do you settle in for an editing session, how do you unwind before bed, etc. Privacy should be an important factor, but hey, inquiring minds want to learn more about your day-to-day...

One of my favorite things at the Fort is that walkway next to the 100 loop with the cabins. They usually pipe music in there❤. The Fort will never be the same without Trails End. Rumors started about the end of Trails End when they shut down Mickeys Backyard BBQ…so sad!
The PJ’s take out is really good. Hope they don’t change that!
During Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween Party, there is a HUGH Black Percheron that the Headless Horseman rides through Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Mainstreet along the parade route...Absolutely beautiful animal.
One of my favorite things to do is taking a boat ride to and from Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge to the park, or just to resort hop. It's so relaxing and the views are great along the way! I'm a little bummed about Trails End, but hopefully they have the same kind of food just in quick service form. Also, those horses are living the good life at Disney, Just Sayin Lol. I also have mixed emotions on the cabins changing too! I've only stayed in them one time and loved it. Its Disneys version of Glamping Lol. The new ones look interesting, and you know they'll be themed well, so we'll see!..Fun Video Jackie 😁

I stay there in 1976 at the campground. It was a blast then too. As a child , it was magical.
Many years ago, I worked at Fort Wilderness as one of the train engineers. We have come back here year after year in our motor home. I understand why they got rid of the train, but I still miss it going through Fort Wilderness.

We stayed at The Fort for the first time last year and loved it so much that we will be back again this year! I hope they don't change too much. It is amazing as it is. Your video captured all the charm and heart of what is Fort Wilderness. ❤

The horses are beautiful and I know there is A LOT to do at Disney World, but I be ok to just hang out there for a few days! The entire place is nice and I LOVED that food truck btw!! Great video!

I Enjoyed watching your video and I enjoyed the horses and seeing the boats and I'm glad there are places that have trails at and that you can also tent if you want to or stay in a cabin. And the horses looked so cute and that One horse carriage that was behind glass that was beautiful does he just beautiful it looked I can only imagine what it must have been like to see it go down the road being pulled by horses back in the day and the food looked delicious. I love Fort Wilderness. My only issue is it's so big, it has its own bus system. Great if you are there for resort stuff. Not so good for the park hopper
Love cramping at Ft. Wilderness since 1975. Hope the new "cabins" don't change the Fort too much. Hope they reconsider the style and use logs.

Hi, this was relaxing, interesting, and enjoyable 😊 Disney changes again, change is part of life, sadly and sometimes a good thing. I love horses, they are so majestic. I had a Dapple Grey Mustang Horse named Buddy back in my early 20s, had him for 5 years, he was my big Buddy 🐎🙂 Sadly, Buddy got spooked and I got thrown off once and hurt my back , head, and hip very badly. I can never ride a horse again, so my Dad forced me to sell him. I miss him still😢 However, I have heard rumors here and there that he ended as a rodeo horse. I always hope he has a full happy life. Anyway, seeing the Disney horses reminded me of my Buddy. I hope to see the Disney horses on our next trip in 2024. They are majestic and wonderful. Be Safe Take Care ❤

Today I had to go get some Publix fried chicken and can confirm, it’s way better! But it’s still a pretty good deal for a quick simple meal on property and not bad.

Horses are so beautiful and so gentle, but I understand not being able to pet them. Don't wanna scare them or make them upset! I'm kind of sad to hear about the cabins being changed into something for DVC members. I was really wanting to stay in one in a far future trip. Thanks for taking us along!

We made our first ever stop into the Fort Wilderness Campground during our last visit so that we could experience Hoop Dee Doo for the first time, and Katie is hooked on the vibe! I think there’s definitely a Ft. Wilderness cabin stay somewhere in our yet-undetermined future, especially now that we’ll be able to use DVC points to book 👀 Had no idea that Disney was hiding the pipe organ cart back there! 05:42 I understood that reference! 😂 It’s sad to see Trail’s End reach its Trail’s End, at least in its current iteration…but at least we still have P&J’s to lean on in our time of need! Love these resort vlogs. Thanks so much for sharing, Jackie - we always learn something new from each video! ✨

Jackie! I guess I’m kind of being a creeper but we would LOVE to have you come up to Ocala to meet our horses and go for a ride! I’d also be happy to show you around the World Equestrian Center!!!
I should probably clarify that my husband and I owned a riding stable in Austin, TX for many years and I’ve taught riding lessons for the past 25 years including coaching college riding teams so our horses are safe and it wouldn’t just be riding someone’s random (and possibly wacky) backyard horse. Lol!
The concept art for the new cabins makes it look more West Coast modern rustic than vintage Appalachian campground that it has now. It is one of the few vestiges of the 70s resort that Disney began as, but I hope it has a whole new life ahead of it with the update.

Hello Jackie, I really enjoyed this vlog. I grew up around horses. I started riding them when I was 7. I have cerebral palsy. When I was young I had balance issues. When I started riding I was able to strengthen my balance. They are amazing for physical and emotional therapy. If you ever get a chance to ride them I highly recommend it. You will absolutely love it. Ok I am going to sign off. I could type 2 pages full of interesting things about them. HaHa

In my opionin they should put those DVC Cabins where old River country ( used to be ) instead / I would also put a mini water play area w/ pool
They were building that reflections resort over there for a while but then they just totally abandoned that project. It would make so much sense!

My family has stayed there twice, and we are going again around Thanksgiving. It's so messed up that they are taking down the cabins and making them DVC! Especially since they have all that land cleared near Trails End which was initially going to be for DVC.
