I have done horseback riding when I was a girl scout. We did hoop de doo. We had a great time. Fort wilderness is so pretty but huge.

You 100% should! It was SO fun! They have the process so streamlined that you can still basically have a full park day if you wanted! Onyx is the best. I wanted to bring him home!

My son took a riding lesson once week but the stables shut it down with covid and hasn't started again yet. I miss horses! This looks like a beautiful day
I'm so sorry to hear that! It was the same situation for a lot of my trainer friends. I know some have opened back up somewhat, but it's not like it was. Hopefully, we have turned a corner! It was a lovely day! And such an enjoyable activity!

Great video. Thank you for sharing! Going in June. My family has a dining reservation at Wilderness Lodge (Whispering Canyon) after the trail ride. What would be the fastest route from Tri circle ranch to the Wilderness Lodge?
Thank you so much for watching! You are going to have the best time!! If it were me, I would take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge. The boat dock is right behind Pioneer Hall, which is next to the stables! :)
It's also only about a mile walk.
I so wanna do it. Do you think I could bring my own helmet though? Sharing helmets always makes me feel weird since I don't know their history. Though I'm sure disney is on it.
I would have been weirded out anywhere other than Disney! I bet if you let them make sure it fits properly (I'm sure it's something they'd have to do), they would let you use your own. The thought did cross my mind, but I was already packing my paddock boots.

@@VillainsandVice I live within driving distance if I was flying I wouldn't worry about it. I've considered it every time I think about doing it but I go back and forth. I fit in standard troxels well which is probably what they use so in the end I'll probably do it. I don't mind walking around in my tall boots but carrying a helmet if we go elsewhere might be awkward.
How long did the entire process take? Trying to time dining reservations after a 9:30am ride
When you go to check in, they will have you sign a waiver, weigh you, and give you a helmet. Then everyone gathers and gets mounted up. That process took our group about 20 minutes. The ride itself is 45 minutes. I’d allot 75 minutes, just to be safe.
Are the horses tied together?
Hi! No, they are not. You'll have to use your legs and reins a bit, but the horses are pretty good at their jobs! They know the drill!
