- Join us for my first time staying at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in August 2023! We are bringing you along for a full cabin and campground tour and our full stay, including a cabin tour, before they are removed and replaced with new DVC cabins in 2024! A tour of the campground, renting a golf cart and driving around the different loops to see RVs, tents and more, swimming in the pool and waterslide, grilling dinner at our cabin, visiting the horses at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, enjoying Happily Ever After fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant from the beach, roasting marshmallows, a surprise Halloween decorations at some campsites, and lots of Halloween merchandise in the shops, drinks at Crockett's Tavern, checking out the newly remodeled Trail's End restaurant, and LOTS MORE! It was so magical staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins, thanks for coming along with us!

The last time I was at Disney with both of my parents we stayed at Fort Wilderness. They are both gone now but there memories live on. Thank you so much Sam and Jackie for sharing your stay with us. I was there Lodge wilderness Lodge hotel to last 12 month so I am back working today and do some more things like your video channel and beautiful and awesome UA-cam videos so much my kids 💕😘💕 loves the Disney characters and stay in Lodge wilderness hotel someday had a great time and this summer be a good 👍👍 with the Disney video channel and UA-cam channel and what's New this year Jackie this is Jenna Dabao had fun

There is s'mores making chip and dale singlong camp fire at evening try to get rid of bugs and fly put on bug spray in case don't forget the sunset this summer had a great and beautiful day weather this month and stay hydrated this year this is Jenna Dabao had fun

I can explain most things disney. the food the need for everyone to play in a safe space. why people stay up to cheer a chain fence with old holiday lights is something you just have to believe in. What an OG day.

My husband and I stayed at the contemporary in June for our 20 year anniversary. We were just relaxing on the beach and didn’t even know about the water parade. It was such a pleasant surprise! So retro 😂
I tent camped at Fort Wilderness and my first night I heard the music for the water parade, and had no idea what it was or where it was coming from. I kind of shouted, gently, at my camping neighbor "Where is that music coming from!?" And they had no clue either. Lol. When I finally figured it out, I watched it from Clementine Beach and it was fun.
I love the cabins. I stayed there a decade ago. I especially liked the boat ride to the wilderness lodge. You can enjoy this area with no park visits at all
I agree, just being at the campground, I never feel the need to go anywhere else because it's so fun and relaxing just being there.

Once you’ve driven a golf cart, the car you’ve driven for years suddenly feels huge and noisy 😜 The cabin looks incredible! Love the mason jars. I think “cozy” is exactly the word for it - the cabins may not be the most luxurious accommodations on Disney property, but they’re arguably the most nostalgic. Also… 24:18 so far, this is our favorite moment in any Super Enthused vlog ever. 😂 It’s a shame to think that all of these rustic log cabins are basically going to be trendy shipping containers in a few months’ time 🥲 Glad you two were able to book a proper stay before progress runs the place over. That was so fun! We did the cabins in 1993 (yes we’re old lol) and we tent camped one fall. We’re DVC owners so we can’t wait for the new cabins!!!

My family and I stayed at the cabins last week! I’ve gotta say… if I were to do it again, I would make it a resort only stay. We had to shorten our trip and didn’t have time to soak in and experience everything at Fort Wilderness. The space was nice to have. So much storage!

I love visiting "The Fort". I have many good memories. Only stayed once and were going to stay last year, but the hurricane had other plans. One day we'll do it again.

Stayed at a cabin during Halloween last year. First time. Absolutely loved it. Very comfortable accommodations and SPACE!!!

We have been staying in the cabins the last few years and love it. We switch each year to either do the Halloween or the Christmas seasons . The decorations by the RV campers is worth the trip in a golf cart to see then all.

My family always stays at Fort Wilderness. We never did the cabins but we would camp there and had decades of memories. Nice calm place to come after busy park days.

I remember doing the canoe trip to the beach there in the early 80's. At that time they had the electric light parade on the water. We had a competition to see who could get the most marshmallows in their mouth. I won... a bag of marshmallows. LOL
Only real ones love the electrical water pageant ! Lol that used to me my best friends and I favorite thing when we’d step out of MK after the fireworks

Wow I had no idea but the wood cabin was actually mobile home would not have guessed that it was!! I love the light show at night, so awesome they played the music to The Little Mermaid!! when i was younger my family randomly picked up a disneyworld tourism guide from a travel agent. it had individual sections about each hotel, and this is the one i've always wanted to stay at! i remember staring at the pages, thinking about how cool the cabins looked :-)) super awesome video
Thank you so much for documenting this! In my line of work, I frequently need to travel to Orlando for extended periods so I've gone through many of Disney's resorts. Fort Wilderness is by far my favorite because it felt more like a home in a community than a room in a hotel.
I will be watching this at least 5 times. 😅 You perfectly captured all of The Fort (as we Fort Wilderness lovers call it). And yes a golf cart is a must! I've already watched it on our big screen twice. Thank you! ❤️
I am a Fort Wilderness child from the 80s & 90s. My family could not afford to stay at the Disney hotels. I'm waiting for that railroad picture to show up in Property Control. We stayed in the cabins when my kids were little and I wanted that picture so bad.

I am very impressed. Thank you so much for filming and sharing. I know it's a fake in-the-woods but seems that it could be quite unique for being at Disney World. It would be so nice with younger children as well. Almost like being in the woods, and seems quite Disney fun. I love the campsites and area. It was funny to see how much food you cooked. I actually like the exiting mobile homes that look like log cabins, compared to the modern ones. Thank you again.

@SuperEnthused Yeah, like just about every word in English has multiple pronunciations, most often impacted by regional dialects. There is a "standard," most often associated with Midwestern vernacular and dictionaries utilize that standard for enunciation when using syllables and sound association, as in the case of suh·kay·duh. You will always find variants from the norm, but when you introduce people to a language, those standards are used as that baseline. I'm sure your awesome fíance can tell you the multiple influences in American culture, while amazing, have bastardized the language, making it one of the most difficult languages to acquire. I love Fort Wilderness and I hate that they are getting rid of the cabins the way they are. My first time staying there was in 1987 in a camper with my family. We made such good memories. I have stayed there several times since in the cabins. It’s especially great in December when all the campers and cabins are decorated. 💜

We camped there last year I camped there as a kid I kept telling my husband we had to go since we got a new RV well let’s just say we already booked two weeks for January/February! He’s hooked!

I’ll have to ask my sisters if they remember the train in Fort Wilderness, they were ten and seven when we went there in 1975. I was only four and don’t remember much, which is weird because I’m the one with the best memory in the family! 🤷♀️ I do remember that the road in was all forest, it wasn’t built up like it is now!
You HAVE to spend more than a night ar the Cabins. My late wife and I have spent numerous nights at the Campground. During the Holidays we loved renting a Cabin and Cart and seeing what the "Loops" produced!!!

I know over on that side, the tiana hotel is not being built. It’s just grass and building shells. Although you do see remnants of the old River Country water park. Mostly the main slide and the concreted pool.
I rode on the old Fort Wilderness trains in the mid 70’s. We also used the canoes back then.
how cool you got to do that! the railroad was only there for such a short period.
Years ago when things were much cheaper, on one of our non park days, we resort hopped to Ft. Wilderness and rented a golf cart. It was around $30 for an hour a think. We rode everywhere. It was great. We weren't staying there, just went and rented the cart as a walk up. This was way back in the early 2000s. I loved Trails End when it was a buffet. It only cost for an adult back then around $8. The food was awesome. I really hate to see things how they have changed so much there at Disney. The old classic Disney days seem to be gone. Maybe one day some of them will come back. I really would like to feel the "magic" again.
The back porch of the cabin gave me Friday the 13th vibe right away. It looks just like the movie almost. Fixing to get ready to kick off the big Halloween season.
