Hey Stealth, the reason why you're losing so many crew members is because of the fact all of your warships that are armed with torpedoes are using oxygen torps instead of the electric torps (which are the stealthiest torpedoes).
Hey Stealth, love your dreadnoughts videos as always! As an idea for a new campaign, perhaps you play as a very frugal Admiral? Your main objective would always be having a positive monthly balance in the naval budget. If you ever go negative, you'd have to immediately mothball or scrap ships to fix the budget again. By the end of the campaign, you could end up with hundreds of billions of dollars in the bank. Maybe at the very end, you could intentionally make the most expensive ships possible to burn through all the cash and get your nation to fire you for excessive spending.
@@Stealth17Gaming If only there was a way to buy ships directly from other nations. You could just buy their entire fleet, then go to war with them and win that way.
@@Stealth17Gaming Willem-Alexander may have some powerful opinions on the latter part of that plan, but I'd love to see it. 😉 I've been finding that's actually a viable model in a UA:D campaign, because a lot of events that happen are basically "Choose between bad effects or pay money". Saves a lot of negative effects so you've an easier time picking which wars you want and stabilising the country, naval budget and GDP.
One thing of note with the DD's, Though higher-tier towers are nice, the lower tier towers (think levels 1 &2) are able to sit below that upper deck. A tight citadel should also drop some significant weight making it easier to add torps w/o exceeding the allotted budget. Great video as always ^^
Me too on WoWS. I walked away from it several years ago when they did the captain skill re do. I had 40-50 19 point captains....and they all, every last one of them, were no longer top. I had to grind every...single...one...of...them. And at that...buh bye.
As someone who recently got back into WoWS, its surprisingly still fun. The carriers still suck, but subs kinda have been nerfed a little. And there are lots of neat things they've added since
I think that your navy's power rating went up significantly with the addition of the destroyers. I think that it would go up higher if each province had a ship.
16:35 I interpret the Army Logistics as you needing to protect the transports which often get into battles along with improving the overall naval prestige (reputation). If that isn't it I have no clue what is.
Take this with a grain of salt, as this is all anecdotal. In my time playing the game, I finally realized that my DDs were usually more expensive than my CLs. Long story short, I now, almost universally in my campaigns, build more CLs than DDs. I will usually build two classes of CL. One is my Fleet Light Cruiser, which has 7, or 7.5 in. triple turrets, and limited torpedo armaments, if any. The speed for these is generally going to be 36 kts. The second class is my Convoy Protection/Disruption Class. Armaments are typically 5 to 6.5 in. triple turrets, and a more DD-like torpedo complement. The speed for these is typically 38 to 42 kts. The Fleet version is usually an A,B,X,Y,Z turret layout, whereas the Convoy version is typically A,B,C,X,Y,Z, or A,B,C,X,Y. If the guns are of the 5 in. variety, I will sometimes end up with an Atlanta-esque layout. Not sure if that gives you any ideas for exploring that Armor parameter you were looking at. To be honest, I never noticed it was there.
Finally building some destroyers, and with a solid design too. This should help in future engagements against faster and more maneuverable enemy warships like other destroyers and light cruisers.
I agree with you on World of Warships. It was fun and I played it a lot for a long time. Then it became a chore. Didn't decide to stop playing just played less and less and then not at all. Stopping was a relief. That's not a good sign for the game
Sigh... I too miss when World of Warships was more fun than a chore. I still had a bunch of dubloons and they had that event to unlock the Wisconsin. I did as much as I could to unlock it and not spend the gold, but it felt more like a slog than an enjoyable experience I had when unlocking Musashi and Missouri. I felt the destroyer gameplay was fun, but if I had to do anything with the battleships and especially cruisers felt like a pain.
37:08 I can't agree with you more. I played that game since alpha. I have probably 5-6k hours in it if not more. I stopped playing it about 3 years ago because of the mechanics. The RNG was driving me absolutely insane. I didn't like the "fast pace" direction they went in. They started with semi accurate ships to the machine gun style totally unrealistic ships they have now. I can't play that game anymore.
It appears army logistics is based on the number of ships in your navy and Transport Capacity being at 200%. I did this in my Russian Campagin and by keeping the transports at 200% to boost finances and logistics and then building enough task forces to transport soldiers and equipment, then the army logistics can easily be 100%. It is harder for empires with distant colonies to improve this; the British Empire being one such example. In my Russian Campaign to get 100% Army Logistics on Normal Campaign difficulty I needed 200% transport capacity along with 4 Battleship and 2 Battlecruiser Task Forces on each flank (West and East), using the Mediterranean Sea for the extra ports to get that Army Logistics. The Battleship and Battlecruiser Task Forces Consisted of 2 BB or BC, 4 CA, 6 CL and 6 DD each.
Ah yes real destroyers now that we have seen the fault of our ways Edit: I wonder if there is a mod that disables submarines only and doesn’t change much else
In the campaigns i played i ended up coming to the conclusion that destroyers are simply useless past the mid 20s. So long as you can rush bigger ships and torp them theyre good but once they get some accuracy and 2 shot your DDs even though you max survivability theyre just free victory points for enemies. In my American campaign i did recently i ended up just spamming minimum displacement Light and Heavy Cruisers, Light Cruisers with 7s and Heavies with 8s and they absolutely shit on any destroyers and since i didnt have any destroyers enemy ones were always matched against my cruisers. I dont really know how they could balance it to make them more viable but im gonna be honest, i do not mind it cause especially with that new accuracy system destroyers are just a absolute nuisance
Torpedo Cruiser hulls (hoarded from the early 1890s) can be used for stealth torpedo platforms (low tech, low cost) and scout platforms (minimal armament, no torps - which lowers their targeting priority) into the 1930s. They'll never be fast, but they're cheap, and can be used in combination to fire "walls of skill" from beyond the torpedo launchers detection range. They can be an inexpensive game changer if used properly in large fleet actions. I have trouble understanding the big hull jack-of-all-trades DD design philosophy, given their low survivability ... and the expense of building them that way.
WoWS. I stopped it and WoT due to fps drops no matter the settings. 60fps with ease but would still drop intermittently until the point of being unplayable. I at least got the Graf Spee though.
I do not comment often. I don’t know if you have considered doing most of your videos first on your Patreon website and the. Bring them to UA-cam. If you did this you may build some exclusivity there. And if you moved from a multi videos per series per week you could work “less” and still have your content. Several other producers do that. Wolfpack and Taff have one day for one series and then a different day for their other series. Just an idea. I do not want to see you leave but you have to do what is best for you and your family.
Thank you for the suggestion. I have considered that, but if my videos go live there first, then won't people just another x amount of days as the video will become available anyway?
There are a few channels who do this. I am not sure if it will be profitable. However, the other option is. As you do such quality videos and are pumping the quantity as well. Drawing back from he number of videos per week. This could afford you the time you are looking to help your wife’s store. It may also give you a chance to bring in WOW into the rotation. You mention in this video. It may be a diversification you need to pull for subscribers to your AA content.
There are a few channels related to the war in Ukraine which do special content for only paying customers. Another channel. I think raptor gaming does his live streams and sometime makes videos out of them.
How is it he has 128 provinces 148 ports. 10million oil per capita. 512million population and almost 500million other population. But he has 1/2 as much GDP as Germany who has only 41 provinces and 43 ports 75 million pop. 2million oil production. How does Germany have a 5.8million man army and China only has 1.8 million. Can he not increase his army size? Or capitalise on all that oil?
The big four have better home provinces, and starting government types that rapidly boost economic development to ridiculous levels. Yes, colonialism is worthwhile, but the current model for the world economy is still pure fantasy.
I would not say the devs are the problem .. the decision makes in World of Warships are the problem as are the orders they give the devs .. sigh. For example subs are hated by most players other than a small sub group. They were hated in play testing hated in development lots of negative comments constantly. But someone still pushed them through. And even now people still rag on them, they keep adjusting the WHOLE set to try and balance the play, but it never works out. But the decision makers keep insisting this is a money maker for the game (despite people quitting in disgust). Just like the utterly useless subs in Ultimate Admirals (that mods are able to thank god get rid of). Just be thankful the Ukraine war has created a split. The Russian Devs have been putting Subs with Planes into their games (yes subs that can launch a small attack wing every so often). Not in the European or US side. But that makes NO sense as many of the things they have put in now (Hybrid carriers for example) just never existed except as wild eyed ideas on luntics fevered imagining.

Destroyers are the best as escort units to protect transports. Sometimes in combination with light cruisers.
Sure, but I have absolutely 0 control over whether the game tasks them with that duty or not.
