$49,988.00 plus tax no thank you
People ask for the works, here it is…lol
No kidding !!! There are places in rural upstate NY where you can get a whole 2 bedroom house with a full basement for $50K 😂
Really, it's cost half as much as my house pay off!
Where’s the crapper?
Prices of campers are getting way out of controll. I think i need to start building campers!
This will be great when Toyota introduces the self driving Tacoma since there is no payload left for a driver or passengers.
Lol
Not sure why it's so heavy? I have a 10 foot Aliner with more options than this camper. Even with an entire trailer chassis underneath, it only weighs 1,394 lbs.
Awesome ❤❤❤
Neat idea but not for 50K companies are get a little bit crazy with pricing
I will just buy another truck and sleep on it with a dozen blanket. Lol...
You could get a sleeper built onto a truck for2 1/2 times less
Too heavy trucks get lousy fuel economy it just went out the door. I can spend lots of nights at a KOA camping cabins before I exhaust 50,000. 73
What a joke of a cube lol
50K, fuck that. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
No way. That's stupid money for that.
I wish that when designing a light weight camper like this, companies would also take into consideration a more affordable retail price; as neat as the idea is, final cost is a big make it or break it factor for most consumers!!
You could get a sick off road travel trailer for 20k less than this and actually have usability
Well spoken review. Thanks for no annoying background music that so many UA-cam channels insist on using while listening to a narrator.
Great review and great little camper. But starting at $43,000, it’s way out of my league. But otherwise, it’s just what I’m looking for.
I have a 1997 Sunlite pop up camper. It has roof AC, 19,000 BTU furnance, 3 way refrigerator, 3 burner stove, outside shower, inside toilet.
Queen size bed, with dinette that becomes a bed.
300 watts of solar, with 2 batteries and a 2,000 watt inverter on 2 batteries.
Total weight, 1700 lbs.
Total cost- $3,650.
Yep...same with me. I'm thinking of moving to Zimbabwe, where things are more in line with my budget. If it weren't for those dang lions. 🙂
Yeah it’s 40k over priced.
Yep. There is a reason they don't mention the price at the beginning. Great idea, but their pricing is off the charts.
$40k+ and you can't even shower.
For $45,000 I can find something else. Most Tundras only have a 1,400-1,700 payload!
It's way over priced. For that much money you can get a bigger camper. Aliner did something like this years ago. Had a triangle roof.
As for price again I'd rather get the travel lite cent for $20k
For $50k it should be a carbon foam composite and weigh a maximum of 500 lbs. When I calculated the weight of a full cabover folding popup shell built from aluminum/foam/.125 plywood sandwich it was under 400lbs! It's absolutely ridiculous what people are willing to pay for poorly designed, cheaply made rv's. Just the weight alone would tear it apart if you took it off road!
50k.....someone needs to put the pipe down and check into rehab! 😂😂😂😂
Like I said before 50,000 I could spend a lot of nights at a KOA camping cabins. Even at that all the gasoline money I spend hauling this monster.73
princess craft = for a princess!
This little camper is amazing. Basic but you can do what you need where you want.
This is one of the most innovative campers I've seen in a long time. I like it overall.
That's pretty close to what we paid for our 4 bed home on 8 acres. Yup, it doesn't move but ...
For a base price of $43k I could buy a beater truck and another popup camper top. That overhangs the cab, with a 1/4 of the weight.
Just because haters will always hate there's buyers out there that are willing to pay the for perveived quality & advantages others can't grasp - or afford. It's s basic supply, demand, accessibility & affordability
Great cover of the cube aeries
Love this, the build is perfect
PJ does the finest RV presentations of anyone! She is the Star the others have attempted to copy but CANNOT! I hope she is paid well!
This fits a niche that i have seen a definite need for i hope they sell these successfully with right marketing it absolutely should. Nice job cheers .
Damn though this costs more than the Tacoma itself
Cool, it is like an A frame set up.
A lovely design and build but the mega weight considering it's going into a Taco + cost = a hard no. But, I really like the modular drop in cot mounted above the main bed.
Looks like this video was done in Texas where there’s been triple digit heat all summer. However, P.J. never breaks a sweat!
It's so very Texas outside our shop right now. H.O.T.
This camper really pushes the weight limit for the highest payload capacity Toyota Tacoma. In fact, you could hardly carry anything other than the camper completely empty, i.e., little to no water, gear etc.
Yep they could have really cut the weight down if they made them with aluminum and composite materials like the Travel Lites.
Exactly..they advertise it for a Tacoma and no way is gonna work. Way over payload.
Two people = another 400 pounds.
Fully optioned, it might even be pushing it on a half ton. Especially if you get the 4-door 4x4, which is the most popular configuration.
I have a 2015 Toyota Tacoma with the full payload package and towing package. Theres no way i could carry this full of gear and essentials. I have a Kimbo and absolutely love it.
I applaud the effort. Might be onto something
Keep working on getting the weight down (and price) to about 1/2 of of what the costs are now and you will start getting buyers. -There are alot of positives about this design.
I am a Ford Lightning guy. =The vehicle has all the electric power already. But need the solar top and keeping the weight low.
PJ, this is the Gear!
I would Love it, with all the options! Especially if Gas Prices would come down!
Nice
I've been looking for a hard side truck bed camper shell. Nice.
Depending on costs.
PJ is so beautiful❤
I like the toilet cover, could be a good surface for kitchen prep. They need to rework the pricing to get to around $35K for it to make sense for the above avg rich joe
Fully optioned, exceeds weight limit for all Takoma models.
Awesome
BASE WEIGHT 1206 lbs - this is kind of alarming to me in that most people i talk to don't realize that their Tacoma is only rated to carry 1000lbs on the vehicle itself. I agree with other commenters that this thing would need to weigh 500# or so for it to be practical for the general Tacoma owner.
Great design allocating in a tiny space. Did I miss the feature that houses the servant’s quarters though?
49g hell no
❤❤ Beautiful product . Hope they have permanent attachment option to the truck .plus can they put a Doggie door so you can drive away in emergency if there is a Bear outside 😂
Nice, but it almost exceeds the payload capacity of my mid size. Need to put this thing on a diet and lose some weight.
At 1200 lbs, doesn’t leave a lot of weight in that Tacoma for anything.. like food and people.
It’s nice but unfortunately too heavy. My Ranger payload capacity is only 1460. I wouldn’t be able to carry a single other thing except maybe myself!
It's also too heavy for a Tacoma, even though the title claims it works with a Tacoma. You put that thing on a Tacoma with some water, gear, etc. and it would ruin the truck.
@@RicG. They only said it will fit in a Tacoma, they didn't say you could actually go anywhere with it in the bed.
$50K? It's nice but not 50K nice.
And there is no way my 2022 Taco would be able to handle this safely. Nice presentation but they are being far from truthful when they talk about Taco payload. This is a salesperson. No different than a car salesperson.
Nice idea. Decor could be updated by the owner, I guess. When is it going to be?
Yeah, very nice. Add a cab over to it and reduce the price by $15,000.00. Otherwise, I'll build a frame out of aluminum framing studs, wall, and roof. I'll be able to stow it in a bag and assemble it when I reach my destination. I will disassemble it when I leave. The roof material will be marine grade Sunbrella or any other material similar to the aforementioned material. It's just another project to save lots of money. Good luck with the sales.
Best RV reviews on UA-cam!!!
I love this camper. Awesome design.
You could buy a brand new truck for that price or a very nice pull behind with 3 times the room.
For that price you could buy another expensive pickup. Buy a van if you want to spend that much.
Wow! And I was thinking that on the high end, this little camper would cost around 30k fully loaded. To see other comments that say starting price is 43k blows me away. How do they justify that ridiculous high price? I’ve seen bigger pull trailers with more features for half the price. Im sure there will be a few suckers that will be willing to pay that high price though.
would had loved if there was a shower inside, but the fact there's a shower thing outside at all is impressive.
this is made for a Ford 4x4 dualy 1 ton with Godzilla engine pulling a 1500 pounds fishing boat. No REAL nature lover would shower before getting back home after at least a week ! Outside shower is for cleaning the fish and/or dog ! LOL
It looks nice & really nice little design. But I would be afraid of it getting blown over in wind if not attached to the truck. What would be a anchor to keep it from getting blown over?
I wonder if they could design a fold out bathroom, even if it’s just an “outhouse”.
Greetings pj thanks for the presentation it's your regular visitor from southern Ontario Canada and I have a question will this fit into a utility trailer ?
Depending on the trailer, it might be possible. It isn't something we'd take on in our service department, and we wouldn't recommend doing that, but it isn't too far fetched to assume that someone might give the idea a go once they own it and have their own time to get creative.
It seemed like the music wasn't sure what it wanted to do. It was way too loud and then gone. Also would it be possible to get a flashlight to show some of the darker areas. There have been a few campers recently where you have shown just a shadow.
Great video as always PJ! Can't wait to see the trailer when they roll that out. Will you carry the trailer at Princess Craft when they start manufacturing them?
We’ll be all ears if they offer us the opportunity!
"You're ready to go."
Literally.
Basically a truck sleeper
When are they coming out with the trailer version, they announced?
Now that's what the Hell i'm talking about! Is there one for an F150?
I paid 39k for a 44 foot 2013 Dutchman voltage toy hauler- full body paint. Used of course.
I’ll take a shell
I spit out my coffee when I heard the price!
Could you get this bare bones - just the shell, with doors / windows. ?
It's crazy what people charge for campers.
I like the design but needs bigger bed. Thats for one person unless two people sleep on there side. If laying on back they will be shoulder to shoulder.
Also, $50k ? Thats crazy. Maybe $15k-$20k
Aliner did something like this years ago. Had a triangle 🔺️ roof.
Unfortunately the price of materials & Labor have sky rocketed. I deliver travel trailers for a living & since 2021 the prices have more than tripled. A 20 foot travel trailer that used to be $15K is now over $50K
Fully optioned it is pushing the payload of my full size Nissan Titan. Cool design though.
For 43k to 48k I would prefer to by a starter off-road enclosed tear drop trailer and still have the ability to drop off at a camp site and use my truck anytime with the bed available. It’s a nice option but not for me. Thanks for sharing.
Light weight means better gas mileage, so in the long run saving on fuel usage.
If it’s loaded on to anything smaller than a full ton pickup, “Just Sue Me” should be painted on the back of that thing.
But what does it look like on a truck bed in the down position ?
Wow, 49k...I wonder if there is anyone stupid enough to buy this thing at that price? I love camping in all forms, precisely why I watched this vid. But the price on this is beyond stupid. Holy crap! I'm writing this from my bed in a 40 foot camper that cost me 50k
The last two used truck campers l purchased cost $1,800 first folder and $1,800 second non folder. Both fully functional and with bathrooms! $42,000+ for this? Get real! And the didn't weigh ammunition more than this. 😂
How about a Maverick?
Funny how most tiny lil slide in truck campers cost more than 35+’ fifth wheels
great design...$50,000 ....spendy
1200 lbs is more than the rated payload on a Tacoma and on my 2019 Tundra its only 1300 lbs
No windows to the rear? Sounds like a security issue.
Hola, como la puedo adquirir en Chile
I can imagine other campers faces when it’s folded down and you tell them you are fixing to go in there, cook, eat and go to bed.
How water proof is it??
Shame, as its not on the website yet and you dont sell outside of the USA as this would be perfect
How about a folding Washington that fits into a Tacoma?
☮
Seems like a good idea until you realize they have almost zero storage. There was a company many years ago that marketed something similar, but the reason no one bought them was that there was no storage. You lose any such storage from those fold up walls !
That and this is above tacoma capacity without driver/passengers much less luggage, then add in the $50K price tag... Everything about this could be 10x better with a $50K price tag.
Amazing that they keep saying how light weight this is when it is already pushing the limit of my F150 half ton let alone a Tacoma, and that is dry weight with nothing in it. I find it curious how they get away will selling points like this that go against the manufactures suggested weight limitations without being held liable if something goes wrong. All about profit and not safety. No way this safely goes into a Tacoma without significant upgrades to springs and shocks, and those things are not recommended by the manufacturer.
I see it has cables on the outside like a cable driven slide out not good
Generator?
Tacoma has a 1100 payload.. doesn't work
The Google machine and the Truck Camper Adventure website offer payload numbers that differ from what you’ve provided.
1200 lbs is beyond 1/4 ton truck limits.
Moon lander would be a much cheaper alternative although very basic compared to this.
Very n eat, but you can get a new Scamp 16ft. for a lot less.
When you go to their site, these are not shown or mentioned. ?????
www.princesscraft.com/product/truck-camper?s=true&brand=cube+series
Didn'r even use a 12v fridge?
Weight is going to be a major problem. My Tacoma has a limit of 950 pounds for a Trd. Add a couple more people and your way over the 1200 pounds! This would be dangerous on a Tacoma.
Get in any accidents and your insurance company will deny your claim!
This is a beautiful camper. It is pricey but most well made truck campers are expensive so this is not surprising. I would if it would hold up for light off-roading? It seems like it can sleep 3, this is great.
AC?
You add it too your house for a third bedroom lol!
A joke.. Even if it was 25k it wouldn't be worth it 😂 good one guys
I might give $4900 for this. $49,000 no way. Not even close.
500 watt inverter, nice...microwave? Lol dont think so!
What temperature can this handle?
That depends what your temperature is as you’re sweating trying to make the payment
Can someone put in a compost? Torrent
Lots of people mention composting toilets. I can’t imagine how they would be practical for weekend camping. It’s not possible it compost 💩 that quickly & depending on the temperature unless they’re heated composting won’t happen at all.
Typically a composting toilet turns into a 💩 storage receptacle that you need to deal with when you get home .
I tried but I couldn’t relate to the salesperson. Who are you targeting? 😅
A 500w inverter won't power the microwave
Way expensive , need to reevaluate the price range and weight!
