The writer makes good use of "Chekhov's gun", the narrative principle that states if something is introduced it must play a role later. So many plot points are introduced early that have an impact later in the story.

I was going to give the Golden Chainsaw to Sammy Twitchdic for their, uhh, his supposed death with the axe charge to the damn head by Greg, but it actually goes to Rodrick’s death at Sammy’s hands for having a brutal death that’s offscreen with a gruesome aftermath that we actually get to see, having his eyes painfully gouged out.
Dull Machete for lamest kill goes to the school shooting victims. At least we got some details regarding the Byron shooting victims.
