Machado may have been a hot head when he was younger, but he has definitely matured. He's the leader of the Padres on the field and in the clubhouse, and often seems to be the one with a level head. He plays the game the right way, hard and with intensity, as any player should. To say that he is the dirtiest player in the game right now (which you repeat at the end) I think is inaccurate and a disservice. He might have been at one time, but he isn't today. He is a different player.
A lot of these kids look up to these MLB players as an example of what they want to be. When they grow up, it’s a shame these players don’t live up to that, they are so disappointing and this is the reason why I’m turning against baseball
Let me start by saying I’m a padres fan. I was weary when padres signed him to that huge deal with all the extra baggage he had. He was a dirty player IMO. Since he’s come to sd, I can definitely say he’s a changed man. He’s matured and realized what he’s done in the past was him being immature and young. What he did in the past was disgusting and he knows that. He has done a 360 in SD and is trying to be a role model to tatis (also a very young superstar with a lot of pressure). What did machado do recently to warrant this type of video though? He’s been in San Diego for 3 years already! Oh yeah your a red soxs fan 😂 checks out why you would still make a video like this.
If he'd done a 180 in SD he'd have pulled Tatis in the clubhouse & not in public where it can show a guy up! Machado can play, but I doubt you'll find many who'd disagree that he could start a fight in an empty room!
@@BobSmith-rf3ph hey bob you obviously don’t know baseball either if you think machado ripping tatis in the dugout was a problem. It had to happen especially at the moment. If you saw how manny played in Baltimore you can see the obvious 360 he made here in SD.
Machado going to SD has been one of the best things for his attitude (that’s the best word I can think of). It’s put him in a veteran team leader role, which has drastically changed the way he acts.
I fail to see how Manny's slide against Pedroia was dirty, yeah he came in hard but he clearly didn't mean to injure him. He then got thrown at in like 3 to 4 more at bats including the mentioned one at his head so he has a reason to be upset there
At this point baseball needs to be a VR sport. No one’s allowed to have fun. You make millions but don’t have the athleticism or field awareness to dodge someone trying to break up a double play. Either let both sides play or just don’t play at all.
its a tired narrative at this point, Manny as a padre is 180 from before. He's our captain and I cant think of any Padre fan that wouldn't stand by that, especially after that tatis incident where he big bro'd him . SD loves Manny
Yeah I mean I’m a Seattle fan and I don’t even hate him people in these comments are half the baseball world are such sad old guys that complain about everything
I got into it with ARod in his Mariner days in Chicago vs White Sox it was actually hilarious. He had a dirty slide into 2nd and he reached 3rd, I had 1st row right at 3rd base and yelled at him about his dirty slide and he was visibly pissed..never the less a bit later he smashed a HR that had to be one of the longest ever lol and pointed me out turning 3rd base... to bad he went all diva long after that
LOL.... at a Tennessee Oilers 1997 game I yelled something about 36 year old Henry Ellard age during player introductions & that pizzed him off dude caught 2 TDs both in my endzone LOL... Oilers won easily though. Still funny to me
"Manny Machado got into some altercations that never really materialized into anyone getting hurt, and the one time someone did get hurt, the person who git hurt was on his side. So that means it's ok for Machado to get thrown at on a regular basis."
@@2galactic nah…not even close. Other teams boo him because they don’t have him!!! SD loves Manny, come to a game some time and hear 40,000 fans chant his name every time he’s up to bat!
The way a former team talks about a player says a lot about them. The Braves love Freddy Freeman, and their fans gave him a standing ovation when the Dodgers played in Atlanta after he moved to the Dodgers. With Manny, it's clear that the Dodgers couldn't be happier that he's no longer on their team.
I understand why a lot of people don't like machado, but I feel like he has matured a lot his last 2 to 3 seasons and hasn't really had many if any notable events since he's been with the Padres. I would go as far as to say he's normally pretty respectful despite still getting a lot of hate for his old antics.
I do not believe Machado that the slide that ended Pedroia's career was not intentional. You can see him intentionally kicking up and then down in order to hurt Pedroia while he is sliding. As a Red Sox fan my favorite thing about the 2018 World Series was the Manny Machado was the last out.
I'm a Dodger fan and I was done with Manny "shit-for-brains" Machado when he intentionally stepped on and spiked the Red Sox's first baseman's leg...well after Manny was out. Bush league. So glad the Dodgers didn't resign him. Same guy who didn't run out what should have been a close play at first...in the WS.
imagine 5-10 fastballs zipping towards your kneecaps and head and tell me you won't get mad. That slide on pedroia was definitely unintentional, the worst thing I think is the foot step on first base, pretty trashy. The slide towards the end of the video......well.... with the amount of reaction time to seeing where the ball went, you could either run straight into the guy or clip his shoulder with a tackle, or you take a heater to the face from point blank, OR you slide and hope you go slow enough not to hurt them. I think he made the right call there
You mean he's cleaned up his public image? If I get in constant trouble because I keep cursing in front of my grandparents, it doesn't mean that I've stopped cursing: I just don't curse when my grandparents are around. Machado LOVES attention, and realized he had a ton of bad attention. People don't change at his age.
One of the better second baseman I ever saw on the diamond mentioned that he just waited to turn a double play against ass hats. The next time the situation presented itself he wanted the first baseman to set the target low and to the right of first base. And he'd line up on that spot and throw a 95 mph strike - or, set thar throw into the upper torso of the guy trying to take him out at second. All it took was one toss to the chops and retribution was sweet...
I agree. A little too impulsive. If he's not just an irredeemable narcissist, I think he'll mature and become well liked in the second half of his career.
The people who said that were Dodger fans. Because when Manny was traded to the dodgers in 2018 Manny didn't do anything in the 2018 World Series. He pretty much wasted the time for that. And when he went to the Padres he hasn't been dirty in a while. The last time he ever played dirty was in 2019
Honestly if Ventura didn’t die he would be the dirtiest, Manny’s interaction with him shouldn’t have been on this video. Ventura deserved to get the crap knocked out of him several times. This guy used to throw 99 right at the batters head several times hr used to always get KC into altercations and he showed no signs of stopping before his tragic accident.
Considering that players today seem to play ball only for the money, Manny has made the big bucks, but he also plays hard to win. Back in the day, Manny wouldn't have been unusual for playing hard ball.
Lots of players sharpened their cleats back then for traction. I heard that too, but then saw a documentary that said it wasn't true about him trying to hurt people
Alex Rodriquez was never a dirty player ok, slapping the glove? so f ing what? an unusual thing to do but not dirty. When Machado stepped on that first basemans ankle that time told me all I need to know about him.
In my opinion I believe he’s matured once he got to San Diego cause people gotta remember he was pretty young when he made his debut and I’m sure he’s at that age now where he’s starting to mature more and more as he gets older
@@joseovalle5450 lmao you act like there still wasn't instances of him doing dirty shit even in recent years. Yeah it's less. Still more then most players.
@@wm_9640 I understand what you're saying. My point still stands. Not everyone learns from their mistakes and matures, so in general, we want people to do this, it shows that a person can grow/learn. Otherwise if you never forgive someone for their past, people are less likely to mature and learn from past mistakes.
Same dude who told a fan that the Padres would win a WS before the Dodgers…I know he played for them, but what he did to The brewers players…he is a dirty player with a gifted arm and cannon at 3B..and when Sale struck his ass out for the 2018 WS…I was mad as a Dodgers fan to lose, but looking at his defeated face made it all worth it

6:30 "I have alot of respect for him as a player, but you can't respect someone who plays the game like that." ????
But if pitchers kept on throwing at my head or knees I would hit some hard line drives back up the middle.
He’s been great since he’s been on the padres.
Still a POS & ALWAYS WILL BE
A lot of these kids look up to these MLB players as an example of what they want to be. When they grow up, it’s a shame these players don’t live up to that, they are so disappointing and this is the reason why I’m turning against baseball
and football?
The guy is a padres fan, he has said it in several of his videos.
He has changed, He is not dirty anymore he's been nothing but an outstanding citizen
Lol what
@Mr. Melendez Math
@@EnjoySackLunch I hate math
I hear that Machado walks little old ladies across the street on his days off
I heard he helped a old lady across the street ..
I first knew about Manny for his webgems, not his antics. People are gonna hate, but I'm glad he's on my team 🤙⚾
He then got thrown at in like 3 to 4 more at bats including the mentioned one at his head so he has a reason to be upset there
He spiked the back of his calf bro. Fully intentional
He pulled his foot up, and put in right into his leg intentionally
He’s literally staring at his right foot as he plunges it into his leg lol
@@mpad4497 he slides into the base and his foot kicks up off the bag
@@Kwirts .
Exactly!!!
Bro was trying to take edman’s legs💀
I got into it with ARod in his Mariner days in Chicago vs White Sox it was actually hilarious. He had a dirty slide into 2nd and he reached 3rd, I had 1st row right at 3rd base and yelled at him about his dirty slide and he was visibly pissed..never the less a bit later he smashed a HR that had to be one of the longest ever lol and pointed me out turning 3rd base... to bad he went all diva long after that
LOL.... at a Tennessee Oilers 1997 game I yelled something about 36 year old Henry Ellard age during player introductions & that pizzed him off
dude caught 2 TDs both in my endzone LOL... Oilers won easily though. Still funny to me
Ty Cobb says, hold my beer!
I might agree if this video was uploaded 3 years ago
I understand
Manny Machado says the F word like 20 times in the interview about the slide into padrora😂
"Manny Machado got into some altercations that never really materialized into anyone getting hurt, and the one time someone did get hurt, the person who git hurt was on his side. So that means it's ok for Machado to get thrown at on a regular basis."

Tired argument bunch of haters
machado-gets booed in every all star game
Also pretty much every single away game
He earned it.
Yea and he’s still there at the All Star Game 😂
@@TrrrashBoat he’s getting paid $30 million a year his ass better be in the all star game lmao
You’re assuming these people even watch baseball lol that was your first mistake
That's not what the argument was about with Jr.
If this is dirty then baseball is softtttttttt
Manny has changed quite a bit. Congratulations & God bless.
I'd like to see Albert Bell try that shit with Frank Thomas or Bo Jackson.
Agreed. I'm an Orioles fan, a Padres fan, a baseball fan. I hope maturity makes Manny blossom just like it did for Adrian Beltre...
If this year was any indication, it did
Orioles and a padres fan how old are you 5? 😂
@@robertocarlos9141 add a 6 in front of that 5 and you have your answer...
The Pedroia slide wasn't that bad . Chase Utley was way more dirty. His was so bad , they changed the rule about breaking up double plays .
I am shocked that my Manny Machado baseball card doesn't have a picture of his face with a board with numbers under his chin
The clip where the guy decapitated the catcher 😂
RIP kid
@@iTalkStudios smoking his ashes 🚬
imagine 5-10 fastballs zipping towards your kneecaps and head and tell me you won't get mad. I think he made the right call there
Machado has really matured and you can’t deny that
You mean he's cleaned up his public image? If I get in constant trouble because I keep cursing in front of my grandparents, it doesn't mean that I've stopped cursing: I just don't curse when my grandparents are around.
Machado LOVES attention, and realized he had a ton of bad attention. People don't change at his age.
@@KC-bg1th what bad things on or off the field has he done that was negative or showing if his old aggressive and angry self… tell me
he has done a great job of calming the rage monster within
So if you throw at a guys head, and he gets mad, he's a dirty player?
One of the better second baseman I ever saw on the diamond mentioned that he just waited to turn a double play against ass hats. The next time the situation presented itself he wanted the first baseman to set the target low and to the right of first base. And he'd line up on that spot and throw a 95 mph strike - or, set thar throw into the upper torso of the guy trying to take him out at second. All it took was one toss to the chops and retribution was sweet...
Who are you talking about or what game specifically? I'm very curious
Pedroia would have been a Hof if not for him
Manny’s a cool dude, he just reacts to quick.
I agree. A little too impulsive. If he's not just an irredeemable narcissist, I think he'll mature and become well liked in the second half of his career.
How do u even string that many curse words together lol
“Manny how many times did you curse?”
Manny: “yes”
Dont even know what he said to the Red Sox 😂😂😂 dude was talking in Morse code
exactly. We’ll never know
Last season I went to a dodgers padres game and the whole stadium would chant “manny sucks” when ever he had an at bat
The people who said that were Dodger fans. Because when Manny was traded to the dodgers in 2018 Manny didn't do anything in the 2018 World Series. He pretty much wasted the time for that. And when he went to the Padres he hasn't been dirty in a while. The last time he ever played dirty was in 2019
That’s outrageous man
Honestly if Ventura didn’t die he would be the dirtiest, Manny’s interaction with him shouldn’t have been on this video. Ventura deserved to get the crap knocked out of him several times. This guy used to throw 99 right at the batters head several times hr used to always get KC into altercations and he showed no signs of stopping before his tragic accident.
Those were dodger fans. The most annoying losers around. Highest payroll for 10-15 years and one fake championship to show for it. What a joke!!😂😂
Considering that players today seem to play ball only for the money, Manny has made the big bucks, but he also plays hard to win. Back in the day, Manny wouldn't have been unusual for playing hard ball.
questionable plays but as you said as he has got more years under his belt he has cooled down. One of my favorite players to watch.
Machado cursed out my friend Jett while asking him for an autograph
Read somewhere that Ty Cobb sharpened his spikes for the sole purpose of sliding into whoever was covering second base.
Lots of players sharpened their cleats back then for traction. I heard that too, but then saw a documentary that said it wasn't true about him trying to hurt people
No actual evidence of this speaking of Cobb
good point on Chris Sale. He made that weasel look like a little leaguer. He's not just a cheap shot artist he's a mama's boy.
8:48 - Machado was being polite. If that were Albert Belle, he would've knocked the guy into left field.
Albert "don't call me Joey" Belle. 😂
Alex Rodriquez was never a dirty player ok, slapping the glove? so f ing what? an unusual thing to do but not dirty. When Machado stepped on that first basemans ankle that time told me all I need to know about him.
A Rod was hated cause of the money he earned
5:05 Sounds like he's talking in Morse Code.
In my opinion I believe he’s matured once he got to San Diego cause people gotta remember he was pretty young when he made his debut and I’m sure he’s at that age now where he’s starting to mature more and more as he gets older
