    My parents have being doing this for years .They allow a farmer to plant yams on their land .At harvest we get half of the crops . They never buy yam in the market!

    I love your caveat , (Must be present during harvest, this were money disappear ) yes , nice investment if you live in Nigeria or have a trusted family member. But it’s not for the faint hearted .

      @@IveomaMedia . You are so right , my dad is 75 years old, and he goes on at me with this advice. That I must be on ground to look after my investment. He says it’s a golden rule of any investment in Nigeria. Especially at the point when money is exchanging hands . But not withstanding that, this business is a good business, food is essential, even the poor must eat . And with over 200 million people to feed . Framing and food production is a good business.

    I keep hearing about herdsmen attacking farmers and making life difficult for everyone. How do you intend to deal with this?

      Herdsmen is a growing problem across certain regions in Nigeria and hiring security and fencing in land is a possible solution that we mentioned in this video.

      @@sirena7811 No! The only 'tax' on land is ground rent and it's usually low. Interestingly, most farmlands are not in urban areas and thus, free from ground rent obligation.
