Thank you for the video. How do I keep the primary from spinning when trying to put it back on with a torque wrench? I know that is probably a really dumb question...
Not at all actually. You can use a strap wrench, but we normally use a 90lb torque stick on an impact gun. This works very well and simplifies the process.
I just got a dalton clutch kit it come with 2 springs and some weights pieces so do you recomend change everything? Or just springs do i have to calíbrate anything?
I know I'm a little slow here but do you have a video of how the clutch tool is supposed to put together ? You put it on the primary and it's already put together so I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with all the pieces I have here. What goes where and how much gets threaded. Thanks
On most X3 models our clutch kits increase belt grip, but most importantly ramp RPM up quicker for better acceleration. Kits are adjustable for different tire sizes as well. Larger tires will slow down RPM and drop peak RPM, losing power. Our kits bring that back.

@@BarrySwartz-nq2yy Our S2 clutch kit is a simple kit that will gain RPM back from the 32's and make it much more responsive. It engages close to factory and usually 2000-2300 which is smooth. aftermarketassassins.com/products/ols/products/aa-can-am-x3-s2-clutch-kit Thanks!
We have tested hundreds of setups on the X3 and around 30 different secondary springs. Our acceleration, belt grip, and belt heat was the best with the factory secondary spring. That's not to say we won't keep trying, but right now we have no better solution. Our shop X3's are always set to high HP and we have never blown a belt.
Hello, I’m trying to get my clutch off a 2021 Maverick X3 in order to change the back clutch cover which is cracked. What kind of impact you’re using? I tried everything blue marine grease, lithium grease it just won’t come off. Any ideas on what else’s I could do? Thank you!
@@aftermarketassassins5491 thanks, I’ll keep trying, I’ve been trying for 2 hrs yesterday and another 2hrs today. The special tool doesn’t bent or anything, the impact spins it to the point where it just gets stuck.

Can you use your tool to separate the primary clutch to change weights with the clutch still on the machine? Or are you required to take the clutch off the machine?
It is much easier if the clutch is removed, but you can use the tool in the X3 as well. Just remove the primary bolt, put the tool in place, bolt the primary tool in with the primary bolt. That will give access to remove the weights. The only problem is the tool is tight to get into the 64" wide chassis. They go, it just takes a little wiggling.
How does the clutch work right with different design weights?if three have sharper angle than the other three. ?also the hexagon rollers the weights sit on at idle why aren’t they round?

What is the torque spec on the spring bolts in the primary?
So a question about primary sheaves.
Do you not have to consider any alignment marks while reassembling like you do with the secondary?
While we've never had an issue not doing this, it is suggested to mark both halves to make sure everything stays as assembled. Thanks!

We use Milwaukee M18 impact. We impact, then hit the puller with a dead blow hammer, then keep impacting inward.

What setting did you have the impact at? How do you know that gun isnt over torquing
We normally use a torque stick, 90ft-lbs
Will your product work for the og maverick turbo?
Sorry but we only have clutching for the 2017+ X3
Please Where I can buy a clutch complete assembly?
Why only change 3 weights instead of all 6?
These guys are right on top of replying huh? I'm wondering same thing
Whst do you mean by torquing it 85 - 90 foot pounds ??
That is the torque on the primary clutch bolt
DONT USE GREASE….use a hotdog bun or any other bread. Way less messy. Crumble it up and pack it in
Huge mistake not to torque these. Secondly it needs to be retorqued after 5 minutes if riding.
