Pro R vs Turbo R with AA Pump Gas Tuning

We raced 5 different times and it was a very close race(closer than expected). The holeshot was a toss up each time and depended more on the driver reaction time than the vehicle. The Pro R 4 cylinder was slightly faster on top end. Roughly 1/2 a vehicle length faster 0-70mph. Vehicles were both on stock 32" Rampage tires. The Turbo R had our stage 3 lock & load kit with our level 3 91-93 octan...

a video of how to actually change the spring and weights would be so helpful. Until then I'm on the sideline. My Ridge limited is pretty sweet as it is...
Huge potential with all our products, but clutching makes them so much better. I have a clutch installation video, just needing to upload it. Look for it soon. -Mike
Hello, just wondering why you don't just pull the drive clutch off instead of crouching under the fender of the krx?
We prefer to leave it on the vehicle. No puller needed, and less chance of an issue with alignment after.
I just put one on a ridge and it is AWESOME. I left the drive clutch on like you showed and it was insanely simple. Out testing it right now vs a stock clutch.
Does the kit help in mud to stop cvt belt slip?
Yes it will. What size tires are you running? And is it giving you the CVT/belt slip error?
@aftermarketassassins5491 30in tires and ya cvt light flashing when in thick mud or climbing trailer ramp (its steep)..
honda must sell a pioneer whit full cab will be a winner your ridge stay to loud
I have some clutch rattle on initial acceleration, does that normally come from the buttons wearing? By the way fantastic tutorial video!!!
Button wear and excessive clearance is normally a rattle at idle. Off idle, it should go away. The secondary helix has a large EBS(engine braking) notch which causes some rattle as well. Our standard EBS helix will improve this, or we now offer a Non-EBS helix which has no notch.... so it completely eliminates the secondary chatter. Thanks!
@@aftermarketassassins5491 Thank you so much for the quick reply! I'm only experiencing it if I blip thee throttle hard on the 21 Turbo XP 1300miles on it. The 22 Pro XP has 1100 miles and doesn't do it. I don' think it's catastrophic so I'm going to dig into over the winter. Thanks again
How can we avail your tunes for Kawasaki KRX 1000 2020 and load them into our PV3?

Thank u
Bro i bend the flapper valve and broke off the peg🤦🏽🤦🏽 i straight it as much as i could but cant put the lil peg. Also does the flapper valve supposed to be loose? Wiggles left to right like of its loose. Did i just mest up my turbo??
No good to hear! The flapper valve should move freely back/forth with the wastegate actuator rod disconnected.
@@aftermarketassassins5491 flapper valve does move freely i wasn’t sure if it had to have tension. I thought it did so looks like im good on that then. Thanks i just need to figure out how to put that lil nipple back on the flapper valve thanks i wish i would of seen your video first you explain the process perfectly👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 thanks 🙏🏽
What the weight setup on the car. I am having issues with my weight setup im at 2/4/4 on my weight stage 5 e85 x3 4 seat 260hp crank.
2/4/4 is the setup. What issues are you having? What is peak RPM?
I need this to go with my tune I got from you guys.
For sure! This is online and available to purchase now. We have a 3-5 day lead time as we ramp up production. -Mike
@@aftermarketassassins5491 I gotta save up first.
👍🏻👍🏻We need more videos
Huge mistake not to torque these. Secondly it needs to be retorqued after 5 minutes if riding.
Which belt should I run on my 2024 pro xp 4 with 33s with your stage 3 kit?
Our stryker belt is what we suggest. This is the 1186 part number which we found to work much better as it does not as easily hit the inner clutch cover at full shift. aftermarketassassins.com/products/ols/products/aa-stryker-belt-for-rzr-xpt-turbo-s-rs1-pro-xp-turbo-r
Sweet, seels like any car wil do
Good afternoon! Tell me the timing tags 🙏
Will it remove my check engine light I have code 1127 which is over or under boost
Our tuning will desensitize the 1127 codes, but if there is a true issue with the vehicle, it will still set the code as this is a major safety factor for your RZR. This is a good read: aftermarketassassins.com/tech-blog/f/rzr-xp-turbo-boost-overboost-low-boost-waste-gate-adjustments
great tutorial
Stock Turbo R vs Tuned Turbo R and stock Pro R vs tuned Pro R would be quite a bit more valuable. This comparison doesn't actually tell us what the tune did.
In full wheel drive to! 😮
I had a shop install your kit but they did not do the spring no in 1st gear on take off the rpms go real high before it fells like the belt grabs could this be why?
No, this would not cause high engagement of the clutch. The OEM spring should engage as low as ours. Make sure the clutch is assembled correctly and that the weights are moving freely on the pins. As per our instructions, a small dab of high temp grease should be used on the weight ID where the pin goes into. Thanks!
Anything for the 2023 570 sp Polaris yet?
I bought a 205 up kit for my Canam x3 turbo it came with a custom tuner but I want to go to e-85 is there a way to download the tune to the map tuner without buying another tune
Hi. The E85 tune is a separate tune we have to build, so it would need to be purchased. You will also need our 1200cc injectors. If going this route, the current tune you have will not run on the 1200cc injectors, so most purchase the level 3 (205hp, 91-93 octane) and level 5 (E85) for the 1200cc injectors. See here: aftermarketassassins.com/products/ols/products/aa-custom-tunes-pvcx-for-canam-x3-120hp Thanks!
If I get this tuner plus a launch control module, which needs to come first in setting it up? Tune it then set up LC?
You would need the tune to run launch control or you would go into misfire protection. So flash first, then install the LC. Thanks!
@@aftermarketassassins5491 Thank you! And a stage 3 tune for a Turbo R will do fine right?
@@bigsmoothhh2 Yep, they rip on level 3! We do suggest clutching, blow off valve, and exhaust for that level.
@@aftermarketassassins5491 Sounds good, I have an RPM blow off valve, RPM J-tubes, intake, charge tubes, and a RPM cut out exhaust but no clutching so I will add that to the list
I bought my 2020 XP pro used with a tuner on it. I'm installing this kit tomorrow. How do I know what stage tune is on the RzR?
With the tuner plugged in (to a computer or the RZR with the key on), go to Flash Tune and this will show all available tunes that are compatible with your ECU. If they are our tunes, they will begin with either LEV or L followed by a number. This is your tune level. EX: LEV1 or L1 would be a Level 1 tune, LEV2 or L2 would be a Level 2 tune, etc.
@@aftermarketassassins5491 thank you. They were through dyno tune
I meant Dyno Jet tunes.
Also any videos or tips on how to change the primary spring and weights without removal?

Is there a way to make you fourweeler chop while idling and rev to about 1500 rpm when u crank?
DONT USE GREASE….use a hotdog bun or any other bread. Way less messy. Crumble it up and pack it in
I can’t tell if this is for the Ranger 1000 or 1000 XP. It looks like a regular 1000 based on the muffler location (XP has it on the side). Please clarify. Your website only has this product available for XP.
Hey! This is for the Ranger 1000 dual cam. It will not fit the single cam model as the mounting is just slightly different.

You're video suck because you are too close. Can't see the whole vehicle.
I have your clutching on the way ... when is the tune and exhaust going to be ready for the Xpedition!! 😁

It’s cool but it’s also $65000 (Canadian) for the loaded up version.
Can someone please help. I had the s3 clutch kit and upgraded to the aa hd primary. After installing new primary something is terribly wrong. Almost seems like somethings locked up, primary spinning at idle and terrible grinding noise
Did you remove the inner baffle as per the instructions? This is the black plastic piece bolted into the inner(aluminum) clutch cover.
are you sure the comfort, standard, sport toggle switch is for throttle? I think it's for the suspension. It does not have dynamic suspension like the pro XP's but I think that toggle switch is for changing the three positions of the fox shocks so you don't have to get out and manually change it.
There's many videos saying it throttle sensitivity
@@andyjones5602 thank you, I would've bet some money that it was for the suspension,
Switch is not for suspension at all. It’s purely throttle . These have FOX QS3 shocks. 3 meaning you have 3 click pistons on the Shock you manual handle just the same as the many years these FOx Qs3 shocks have had on the market. They did change the shock internals on this particular design.
I sat in one of these the other day and the fit and finish is the best Polaris has ever done.
Why doesn't anyone talk about the noise. How quiet or noisy are they inside and out. 🤷♂️
@@mikegunn3152 very true. That’s the main reason I never went with a rmax. Those things are too loud. I had a krx and it was too loud for me and my 3 year old to talk. The Facebook groups are saying it’s pretty loud. Around 96 db when cruising
Unfortunately they are very noisy inside the cab. Check out our tech article for some of the fixes/suggestions we have for reducing in-cab noise: aftermarketassassins.com/tech-blog/f/polaris-xpedition-noise-reduction-common-issues
Is it good for 2010 RZR 800s
Sorry it will not work with your year/model.
How high it can go the oem
10-12psi is about as far as we like to go as the throw is also being shortened.
Thx for this tips👍
I have a question about the magnets, In the video the installer clearly says the weight pockets nearest the tip will be the fullest, Yet every weight profile on my install sheet has more weight nearest the pin NOT the tip as indicated. I'm running 37In dirt tires so I purchased the S3 Kit with the 1072 Helix W/ almond spring. With a stock tune it says 4/2/1 so 4 magnets nearest the pin and only 1 towards the tip. Am i missing something? Lastly as a note in my instructions it says if im running a heavier tire it "might require less weight" that's fairly generic meaning if I know im running a heavy tire (System 3 370s in 37in) should i remove the one tip weight or maybe one of the 4 weights nearest the pin? I hope these are not considered dumb questions I just want to make sure I install the kit correctly the first time. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Good questions for sure! Go off of your sheet. Within the newest setups on the Pro R model, we found heel weight to work best. For your tires, I would suggest removing 1 magnet from the hole position 1(heel). That should work great and always make sure to check peak RPM. Thanks!
@@aftermarketassassins5491 Thanks for the quick reply awesome customer service!!!
Great company, and great service/dial in assistance. We were a bit off, but with AA assistance, we are right where we should be.
Looks like it rips but I’m passing on any kit that puts parts in the bed. If larue can do it so can everyone else
The bed is fully usable and installed in our kit. See here: aftermarketassassins.com/products/ols/products/aa-pro-r-4-cylinder-turbo-kit Thanks!
Is it pretty normal for the inner primary sheeve to come off also? Mine comes off without a puller.
that is not normal, no. This is a taper fit and should be very tight.... needing the puller to pop it off with good force from an impact gun.
i broke the peg🙄 any advice ? weld ? screw and nut?
No good! We've not had this happen, so no direct experience.... but in other applications we use a shoulder bolt. Welding an new peg on would also work... if you can get to the back side.
terrible camera guy
What’s the Can am weight with number 655 on it weigh?
How does the clutch work right with different design weights?if three have sharper angle than the other three. ?also the hexagon rollers the weights sit on at idle why aren’t they round?
