- Getting our Can-Am Turbo X3 ready for desert season as lake season closes for us. The secondary clutch rollers were totally destroyed and needed replacement. Here is our full walk through of us getting them out and replacing them with brand new ones.

I just did my secondary rollers on my X3 and fully disassembled the clutch . Was a massive pain . I was wondering why it needed to be completely disassembled. Doing one at a time i suppose each pin keeps the helix from unclocking .
A 4mm skinny neck socket works perfect for tapping the pin back in for roller reinstallation .
I went with Cubic Dollar OffRoad Rollers.

Hi, welcome to the channel. Before the roller replacement it made a pretty loud rattle noise, and the drive felt like it was stuck and we had to gas a bit more.

Hi when you put the new rollers in, as you are not disassembling, should these rollers need to spin freely or because these are still under pressure they don't spin?
Hi correct its always under tension will not spin freely
Does anyone know why my belt doesn’t want to get tighten after I replaced it? Could it be my primary or secondary clutch? Any ideas? I even out the original belt and it still not tightening
Hmmm...may be best to take it apart and reinspect everything. Maybe a washer sliped out
How did you get the rollers in mine wont go in might have order wrong ones?
Hi we had to buy the tool for it. But there are comments in this thread where someone was able to work around it.

Hi yes we think its from the primary. We think it may be the weights rattling. Hope this helps.

Hi we did not diassemble and was able to replace them with no issues.
Did you get a check engine light?
I dont think we did. We only knew it was broken from all the noises.
Why did you have to replace the rollers
Hi they were broken to pieces. Clutch was no engaging.
What you torque to?
Hi we torqued it with 56ft lbs

Hi, it did not come with new washers. We used the same ones.
When you drive was it making lots of ugly noises
Hi, yes it did. It sounded like grinding noises.
Dang i have just a basic maverick sport 2019 and it’s grinding and I took cover off and noticed my secondary is open putting no tension on the belt
