Born in Sudbury but moved to the states in the 60's (my dad worked in the mines and couldn't take the harsh winter working conditions anymore). I still love my hometown and have brought many of my friends up there to see how beautiful it is. Thanks so much for this video. Brought back great memories. 🥰
This video brought back some fond old memories. I'm a northerner who spent most of my life in Sudbury but now live in Toronto. I miss the slow pace life and friendly people of back home. It'll always be home for me. Gonna watch your Mississauga video now since that's where I actually live (in the Marilyn Monroe's themselves).
I’m so warmed that I could help bring back some fond memories. As a fellow GTA’er, I totally understand your appreciation for that northern pace of life.
Outlying areas are the best. Very beautiful. Espanola a clean nice town to shop. Lots of downtown shabbiness, pan handlers in city of sudbury. Go to outlying towns
@@WanderingWagarslive in the bush. Equal distance for me to go to espanola. Far nicer. Kingsway and LaSalle a nightmare. Council should realise tourists come up here to fish, hunt, skidoo etc, not visit art galleries etc. lol
Doug Reed!! I am planning a trip to Sudbury, can u pls guide me on the recommendations and must visit places. I have 2 young boys aged 7 and 9 as well.

If you do rent some go to Ramsey Lake it's the lake at science north. Several public beaches on that lake. Hope you guys have a good time.
@@dougreed736 Thank you very much. I really appreciate it. We are planning 3days in Sudbury and another 3days in Sault ste Marie... Do u have any suggestions for SSMARIE as well pls?
I lived there for nearly 20 years was all too eagar to leave and go back to my lovely Frontenac, Kingston, Land of Lakes area where our roads are maintained and am truly happier now. That one horse town may be nice for a weekend but don't expect it to be anything other than a glorified dump.
Born here.. it’s been 40 years of disgusting disgrace! It’s not what it’s portrayed. City mismanagement mayor after mayor decades after decades. This is the same sudbury it was 20 years ago but 50X’s worse! You’ll know what I mean when you get here! And bring lotsa money.. 😂It’s expensive!! Best of luck 👍🏻 you’re gonna need it.

I agree as a Sudburian, people often miss our awesome city :)
100%!
Sudbury is a cool spot. It doesn't get nearly enough love. Great look at the city!
So true! It’s still shaking off some of that decades-old reputation. But more and more people are seeing just how awesome this city has become.
Thank you lol I am from Sudbury
@@acebunter1065 Yoooo same
Awesome video! I’ve never been to Sudbury. Definitely want to check it out.
You won't regret the visit. It's a fantastic area to explore.
Here. Your guys' town is awesome

If there were an intercity high speed rail to Sudbury from Toronto, I’d visit there in a heartbeat 😅😅
That would be amazing. Hopefully in time 🤞
Nice video !
You missed some really beautiful spots though if you come back again hit me up i will make you a list.
Thanks Doug! I’m sure I’ll be back again.

I am a local musician in Sudbury
At least u did not go to they valley! That whould have changed your mine 😢
Interesting viewpoint.
I look forward to my visit but the fluctuating volume of the music from when you were talking vs not talking made this video hard to enjoy
Thanks for the feedback

It's just too bad you never made it past grade 8.
the city of lakes. also go underground and top science research the natrino lab
Someone once called Sudbury the armpit capital of Canada. Sounds about right.
well i guess that6 settles it then- definitely strike sudbury off the things to do list.
