Canada Road Trip: Best Things To Do in Manitoba
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 сер 2017
- In this video, we share some of the best things to do in Manitoba, including Winnipeg and Churchill!
Welcome to Manitoba, Canada!
Right in the middle of Canada lies the province of Manitoba, which is home to the city of Winnipeg, some incredible lakes, and the polar bear and beluga whale capital of the world.
We learned about the history of human rights, did yoga with goats, learned about Canada’s history with the Hudson Bay Company, and snorkeled with beluga whales. We also relaxed in a Nordic-inspired spa, stood in the centre of Canada, and walked on the arctic tundra. We really packed a lot of adventures into our ten short days and can't wait to return one day and explore the province further.
We explored Manitoba from July 14 - July 26, 2017.

canada is a heaven on earth.... i love canada. God bless Canada long live Canada
Manitoba is the best for camping, hunting , and fishing . So many beautiful Lakes , I believe Manitoba has the most lakes in the whole world in an area its size.
Yeah, we definitely need to come back and experience some of the lakes!
Not close to the snakes
I live in British Columbia now but I'll never forget my ties to manitoba. This video is remarkable and so nice to see
Gald you liked it! Have you seen our BC one?
Great job guys! I am from Brazil living in Winnipeg for a year and I am impressed that there are not many TV materials / videos about things to do in Manitoba. There are lots of nature activity and provincial parks!
Totally. So many people complain about Winnipeg but we loved it
Et alors tu connais l'autre langue officielle du Canada ?
Que peux-tu nous dire en français toi dont la langue maternelle semble être le portugais ?
@@MustDoCanada Et la version en français c'est pour quand ?
We get Northern Lights in Winnipeg too. I once lay on a concrete driveway for 40 minutes watching the lights dancing above. Spectacular! Also, Grand Beach is 100 km North of Winnipeg - it's one of many beaches along Lake Winnipeg and has 3 km of fine, white sand.
We also have Bison - both plains bison and wood bison; three mountain ranges (though not as high as others in Canada), Duck Mountain, the Pembina Mountains, and the Porcupine Mountains; Narcisse Snake Dens (winter home to tens of thousands of red-sided garter snakes); 92 Provincial Parks (boreal forests, prairie parklands, historic sites, sandy beaches, lakes and streams); Churchill includes wild polar bears and wolves; International Peace Garden; Bird's Hill Park; and in Winnipeg, the largest urban forest in Canada - Assiniboine Forest.
Yes lots of things to do in Winnipeg when you know lots about the city.
I can’t wait to travel again, love this video, it brought back wonderful memories.
This is great! Such a wonderful series of videos. You guys did great!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
omg! this is so beautiful.😍😍😍😍😍😍 I fell in love with places and such
Thank you so much! Glad you like it :)

Absolutely amazing
beautiful video. I particularly was moved by the beluga wales and the sunset videos. Thanks again for sharing. I will do some search on the lazy bear company.
Thanks! The belugas was one of our top experiences too :)
Thanks Dears. You are wonderful. Your videos are up to the mark. You set very high bar for other travelers vlogs. I would request one thing that please add more details in your activities.
Thank you so much for the video! It's my lifelong dream going to Churchill and watching the Northern Lights
It's a great place to see them for sure. However, keep in mind that closer to winter is better because it gets darker. So maybe during polar bear season, October to November, would be much better than July and August.
@@MustDoCanada Ooh definitely going to remember that when I plan my itiniery! Keep up the good work.
Brandon and I enjoy to go boating where necessary.
What a very nice video. Very informative and more interactive. I admire your work.
Thank you :)
Manitoba...beautiful country...👍
This video of yours is so beautiful
Amazing
Thanks!
Great video...watching from Ghana
Wow! Amazing quality video. Looks like you had an amazing Manitoba experience!
Thanks! Yeah, it was great. Now we need to go back one day to see the polar bears!
Thank you
manitoba is so underrated! so much to do and see! i recommend the fishing!!!
Yeah, we've heard good things about that. Lots of lakes eh?
@@MustDoCanada apparently over 110000! world class catfishing within a stones throw of winnipeg; not to mention 30 species of game fish to target, and piles of wilderness adventures to be had
@@outdoorsmanal1759 We need to get back!
Amazing wonderful world 😍
Agree :)
would also suggest going to Selkirk to see the ships on the shore, the Canadian Mint, and many more. there is a small castle to waterfalls. it is crazy as there is just to much to do in one province
Oh wow, thanks for the tip. Yeah,we have to make it back to Manitoba. So much left to explore
I live right by the “Selkirk marine museum” it’s honestly nothing special, lower fort garry is where it’s at! Lol also located in selkirk! I wonder why they didn’t go to gimli harbour?
Love your videos.. Love from India..
Never new Manitoba had some of these things
Yeah, we used to joke about Winnipeg and then we lived there for a summer and really liked it. The Belugas though, that was amazing!
Anyone from manitoba
Pro tip: you can watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies these days.
@Chandler Brooks yup, been using Flixzone for months myself =)
@Chandler Brooks Definitely, I have been using Flixzone for years myself :D
I wish I would’ve known about the Centre of Canada sign!! 😭 I’m on a cross country road trip and that would’ve been such a cool place to stop. Especially since I mentioned being about halfway through Canada while in Winnipeg.
I wanna get back to Canada as soon as the flu goes away.
Warm and safe regards from Mexico land of history and tasty food.
Am hooked on this channel! Amazing work guys.
Thank you :)
J'adore Canada
Us too! :)

He's a troll. His comment has been reported and deleted.
I don't know what his problem
Me neither...
Nice!
I dare you to do another video in the winter time❄️❄️❄️
hahah we'd like to actually, if something cool goes on!
Ya manitoba is a depressing frozen hell in winter
Something cool? How about something ice friggen cold? Lol
Why would they show reality... All normal thinking people already know Manitoba is a dump..
Ya the frozen hell we have to live in. -30 to -40 is not fun.
Very soon I'm in Brandon ....will definitely share my comment
Good Job
i miss Manitoba :(
Wow... That was an amazing hyper lap.. #bisdakincanada 📸
Those museums would do it since I love history. Until the spa lol I'm all over it lol
haha we loved that museum. Really incredible... and the spa, yeah, we're still dreaming of going back!
Must Do Canada I must do Canada lol. But snow I have a hard time with
haha yeah, Winniped would be hard for you in the winter then! :)
❤❤❤
I wish i would be there some day
I never been in Churchill. May be one day there will be a road there and up north in Nunavut.
Proud Manitoban
I live almost right on the centre of Canada that sign at the beginning of the video is is about 1 mile north of me
Very cool! Cool that they made a roadside attraction out of it
Winnipeg ❤️
:)
Beautiful
Thanks
Nice video. It should've been a little longer. 💝💝
In the Winter, it's Bitter COLD
Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
I would like to know where you camped on your way across Canada please. Looking to do our own cross canada trip this year and would love campground recommendations.
This area is very beautiful. I also want to visit this area. I'am from Pakistan
Aweosme, we hear Pakistan is beautiful too!
My family is from there.
I god I always pray that I may see manituba 🤲
You guys forgot to taste the worlds best ribs in Onanole just before Riding Mountain National Park ;)
Wow, that sounds delicious. Next time we will!
watching this 4 school
cool!
There’s a little black bear at the end, but no polar bears?!?! I would’ve been on edge sleeping outside after roasting marshmallows under the Churchill stars! I’m surprised nobody got mauled by a polar bear!!!
polar bear season is in the fall. They are far out on the ice in the summer time
Hi! Great video! Do you have more information on the 2nd location in the video, former Hudson Bay…?? Where is it and what is it called? How would I visit this place?
Oh, I think you might be referring to Lower Fort Garry? It's a Parks Canada site not too far from Winnnipeg
2:43 I wasn't aware the 1700s were ancient history
Best beach is Clearwater lake off of 10
Manitoba and Saskatchewan are flat. If your dog runs away, you can still see it running two days later. 8
Leave the farm lol. We have everything from a dessert to a mountain, and even a rain forest!
😂
We also have the largest concentration of snakes in the world, the Narcisse snake dens!
I know! I wish we had known before we left though. Be cool to see
#Nepal ❣️🇳🇵
Manitoba is so so so so much more then Winnipeg and Churchhilll!
Of course! We just didn't have time to explore more during the road trip bu we're looking forward to go back.
What do you recommend?
Clear Lake is so beautiful, Minnedosa has amazing activities, Killarney has a beautiful beach, Virden has the best Ice cream shop, Brandon has some amazing downtown shops, Elkhorn has a cool auto museum. Just to name a few. Travel Manitoba has a great UA-cam channel that also lists a bunch of places to go. Caves, Lakes, snake dens, beaches, Sandhills, museums, CountryFest, oh the list keeps going :) More then even I knew of. I can’t wait to explore more this summer. Hopefully covid can take a backseat soon :)
@@nicoles2289 ah yes, we've been to Clear Lake. Love it there!
Me at Lower Fort Garry: “WHERE IS MY BUTTER STICK?!”
Is that a food?
Que lugar maravilhoso, espero um dia conhecer, estou estudando inglês agora para poder realizar este sonho
Déjà, apprends le francais...
Why wouldn’t you have gone to gimli?! Gimli is awesome, the harbour I think it’s better than grand beach, it’s also the same lake just opposite side of lake Winnipeg!!
We have been! But in this video, we were stretched for time
✌👍
I live in Winnipeg
and you missed Shelly "D""s in Gimli Manitoba, good place to eat

Thank you guys for the video, My dream is to settle canada..
Awesome! Where do you live now?

I live in Bangladesh, one day I will go Canada..
Cool, we were at the airport there when we went to Nepal :)
Wish you good luck, and nepal is beside my country, why you going there?
Awesome video, with great footage! As a student learning to make videos and studying Social Media Marketing, I'm curious what program was used to edit the video?
That's awesome! We use Adobe Premiere Pro :) Where are you studying social media marketing?
I'm in Winnipeg, going to CDI College. Adobe Premiere is what I thought, I'd love to get back into using that software, it's been so long! I was looking, (and will look more), but do you use a company to produce / edit the videos? There are so many places I want to see in Canada, and your videos are perfect to help me pick me next travel spot! THANK YOU!!
(Also, thank you so very much for your reply, many UA-camrs don't respond, which is frustrating! THANK YOU I really appreciate it!!)
No problem! :)
Yeah, it seems to be the one everyone uses now. We do our own videos, my wife and I, but for this particular trip, we hired a friend who does videography. That way we can both be on the camera and focus on other things, such as writing articles, photography, and marketing. But all the videos that are not the "Road to 150" were done by us
It looks lie an abandoned nuclear processing complex like Rocky Flats. Is it radioactive?
I don't remember exactly now, but no, not nuclear. It was something to do with the military back during the cold war era. Maybe to monitor attacks or missiles or something like that.....
When are you coming back in Winnipeg? ❤️😅
We were hoping this year but so far, it's not looking too likely. We have a few other trips planned but if not, next year
Hope you’ll announce it so we can meet you here. 😄 Godbless
@@PamilyangPinoy-TV For sure we will!

@@emptyhad2571 I love it up north. Come up for a visit sometime.
@@emptyhad2571 I was in Altona once a long time ago.
Number 1? Leaving. Your vehicle will thank you. Like everything in Manitoba, the highways are built to fail in order to continue paying friends, relations, and especially church family in plenty of work.👍
If we were'nt friendly, would you let us close enough to screw you over?😀
What's the song?
What time of year did you guys go to Churchill?
This was in July

I live there

I live there and love it. Others not so much. In fact people who have ever been to Manitoba hate it.
@@den8863 Or the same people who don't go out a lot
@@BM_2002 how can you live with yourself being such an asshole.
@@den8863LOL How am I an asshole? I'm talking about the people who live here and hate Manitoba they (not all) just like to complain but they don't go out and enjoy what the province has

Would love to one day!
I've been to Thompson, Manitoba. The best thing there was the laundry mat and the best view was looking at it in the rear view mirror of my truck!
Dont be a dick
Goat Yoga is a thing?
haha yeah, I think it started in Portland, Oregon. I must say though, if you actually want to do yoga, it's not the best way to concentrate. I'd prefer to separate the two. Spend time with the animals and then go to yoga in a quiet setting )
A lot of No kill farm animal rescue places have had to find ways to make income. This is the perfect fit. I'm not into yoga, but had a great time petting the various animals you don't usually get so close to. And comon Bob....yoga pants. Nuff said.
What? Yoga with goats??? I was already thinking about bringing my barbecue grill up there. They look tasty.
Did you visit Brandon?
no, not yet
I was dreaming to come to Canada from long time, due to IELTS 5.5 band I got low score, retaking the test again.
So many sexy shots!
haha Thanks...Not difficult to get in Canada :)

It would be nice to have all our videos in French as well, but since we don't speak the language, we can't do that without heavy investment. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by more French. The only French province is Quebec and the only bi-lingual province is New Brunswick - officially...
I heard lots of thugs live there. But no hate very cold weather.
About pnp
um were they doing yoga with animals
haha yup!
