It's so true that a hunt is a mental and emotional roller coaster. Each day and each opportunity (or lack thereof) that goes by can wear you down until on that last day you're just ready to take any deer with antlers and a pulse. Not bad at all, and a great experience.
4:38..... Gohunt when are we going to get a fall compliation? Everytime I watch someone fall I laugh equally as hard about all the times I have fallen!
Love to see hunters helping hunters. We’re always too protective of our hidey holes. There’s this mentality that other hunters are the enemy on the woods. Hope you sent them towards that bull.
Great video as always showing all aspects of the journey. That is what makes hunting great is the JOURNEY and those that you get to share it with. Just like Brandon said, harvesting a buck is just icing on the cake and what makes the hunt even more memorable. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to getting a high country buck of my own again in the high country in less than 30 days.
Nicely done. Good production quality and nice representation of the amount of effort it takes to hunt backcountry. Good balance of hunting, camping and glassing footage.
Without social media i have no means to congratulate you guys other than here , you guys really know how to make compelling hunting videos your cinematography is outstanding to me and i enjoy every video i watch keep them coming @gohunt
Great video of the realities of hunting public land animals. You guys made the best of your trip and looks like you had a great time. Great end of your trip killing a nice high country buck. 👍🏻
Peanuts, M& Ms, almonds, cashews, cranberries, sunflower seeds (all salty), a dozen of those big Snickers bars unwrapped and cut into 2 inch pieces and a dozen home-made chocolate chip cookies crumbled into chunks. Throw it into a zip lock bag and you got some trail mix. And a couple of apples. Keep the apples separate. Or, you can cut the apples into pieces, drizzle the pieces with honey and chocolate and maple syrup and then sprinkle on a little brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. And a couple of Georgia peaches sliced up. Throw it all in a bag and shake it up. Better do two bags.
Really love these videos, especially going thru the hard times and real issues. The effort is real and all the work. Well done on this hunt. Constructive comment, the music sound track….yikes! Puts me on edge tho.
This is crazy but I was watching that deer before the season and couldn't hunt him until the second week of the season! Now i know why I couldn't find him!!! Great video tho!
I thought I recognized the country and I told my dad that was watching with me if they show a buck with a inline and a kicker on the right side I know where they are.. Great place to hunt if you are willing to work for it
Some guys would say why kill a deer that may not be the biggest on the mountain, and to those gentlemen I’d say this: the total inches of antler taken is not representative of the quality of hunt or the sole end state as to even hunt. Too often people get tied up on that notion and miss the more important aspects of hunting. Not you guys, though. A great hunt and a great animal to commemorate it!
I don't know how hard that deer tag was to draw, but if I was the dude with the elk tag, I would have been like, "Welp, I'm going after that bull. See ya."
What made you Guys choose those basins to begin with? Was it e scouting or boots to the ground. Just trying to learn what to look for when finding an area.
It was both e-scouting and boots on the ground. When e-scouting we focus on three things, food, water, and cover for bedding. We like to key on good green basins first then dive in from there. It also helped that we've been in that area before so we had a decent idea on what to expect. If you find the groceries you'll find the deer.
Lorenzo was using a Marsupial Bino Harness and Brandon had the Alaskan Guide Creations Bino Harness. Here is a link to the Marsupial Bino harness that we carry in our Gear Shop: shop.gohunt.com/collections/marsupial-gear/products/marsupial-gear-binocular-pack
Your free spirited incident reminds me of fly fishing for striped bass on one of the beaches south of San Francisco. A buddy and I were on the beach and we were having a pretty epic day of fishing. we were moving to another rip current down the beach and I looked up at the base of the cliff at a pile of driftwood and about 200 yards away there were three dudes going at each other and another dude filming it LOL, then we looked around some more and the beach was littered with naked dudes ... Apparently we had stumbled on to the gay nude beach lol. Whatever floats your boat I guess ... the fishing was good so we just ignored it. lmao.
When was this filmed? The middle of September on the west slope of the Big Horns. Had hunted three or four days with the temperatures in the seventies during the day. Hot and dry. And we'd been busting our asses. Laid an old quilt down on the dry cacti/sagey/dusty ground. Heated up about three gallons of water in my huge old white enamel coffee pot. Got out the shampoo. Stripped naked and took a bath in the middle of the west side of the Big Horns sage plains that run from about 6K feet to 8K feet. Could see about 10 - 15 miles to the east and see Cloud Peak and about 150 miles to the west I could see the Bridger Tetons and look down on the entire Big Horn Basin. Standing there naked in the Wyoming sun and wind. Don't knock it, man. It'll get you to a different place in your mind.

In some places, any buck with a bow is a trophy. Nice buck!
That is very true, Thanks David!

Nicely done my friends..!!
Great video and hunt as always!
nothing wrong with a great hunt after the deer, but I would have tried for the awesome elk..
I don't know how hard that deer tag was to draw, but if I was the dude with the elk tag, I would have been like, "Welp, I'm going after that bull. See ya."

Great hunt, guys. Is the elk part of the hunt later or did you just not go after the monster you filmed?
Way to go Brando!
Long as you don't have to share a tent with "Spicey Mountain House guy".
If you’ve ever done any amount of High Country hunting you felt that fall 😅
So, so true! It definitely hurts to re-watch that scene. But at least Brandon saved his bow haha!
Love it.
Love it fellas!
Thanks buddy!
LOVE IT GUYS
So they told you about the mule deer but you didn’t tell them about the elk????
I noticed that lol
hope they did off camera
They def did lol
Or when the Alabama boy counted the eye guards as a point, they decided he wasn’t worthy.
What binoculars were you using on the tripod for glassing? Trying to decide between 12 or 15 power
Lorenzo do you have any specific way you make your biscuits and gravy? Or any thing you add to it?
Just a good ol' fashion Moutain House Biscuit and Gravy. Add some boiling water and the key is to let it sit for exactly 9 minutes!
Cool good to know gonna try it out this year! Awesome hunt buy the way!👍🏼
You betcha
Awesome !
Thanks for watching!
Awesome vid!

What happened with the first shot?
The first shot was a miss ☹️
Free spirited….🤣
Dude, I hate raisins too. They are trash
I guess u can pack in 8 miles to shoot a deer that u could have shot off any dirt road 🤷🏻♂️
Vid production makes a guy do crazy stuff, hard pass on that youngin.
This a hunting show or a cooking show?
Haha best of both worlds!
You guys ran into hippies
so....the rest of the video...not posted on youtube....i am guessing that is interesting #freespirited
Your music choice sounds like someone's having a seizure. Good hunt though
Music kinda takes away from videos on here almost as if it was some electronic music not my favorite just saying.
